Long time fan of Voodoo. However this would be true of the Oregon locations. I've always received great tasting doughnuts that are light and worth the money you spend. However, I got dozen box and it was absolutely not worth the $48.00 or gas and time to get to them. I know the Seattle location is the newest location and has a lot to prove in a new city. Especially with unique themes and name schemes. The doughnuts were hard, not light. The frosting was on par with store bought cake frosting. The doughnuts seem like day old to me. If you want an awesome Voodoo doughnut go to the Eugene location. They know how to make doughnuts. The same quality I received today I'd rather go to grocery store and I refuse to do that. i ordered 6 donuts! 2 glazed, mango tango, hibiscus, old dirty bastard and homer. all the donuts were super light and fluffy. we had to wait a little bit for the mango tango as they were making it fresh but the server was super nice and helped us package it more so it wouldn't stick to the other donuts! i'm a huge fan of mango so this was probably my favorite donut. the old dirty bastard and homer were a bit too sweet for my liking but it's all in the frosting and toppings! we came here on a thursday night and we had to wait outside until one party came out. it was a little confusing on where to line up on the inside when you're waiting to order but we went up to a server once they opened up! also would like to note that it was raining when i got these so the box started to fall apart on my commute home. read more

I was excited about trying this donut shop, but unfortunately, I was disappointed after having it. I had their Homer (strawberry with sprinkles), Maple bar, Strawberry Tart, and Mango tango. Honestly, all donuts tasted average. I didn't see it any different in taste compared to grocery store donuts. The bread/dough of the donuts were average and the frosting and fillings were okay. The service was somewhat good. They made a mistake on our order and gave us a $10 gift card, which was nice. But when we ate their strawberry tart donut, we found out that they didn't add the strawberry jam filling like it was advertised. The line is currently long, but once you're inside, it's a pretty quick process to grab your donuts. The pricing is decent The ambiance of the restaurant is cool. Nicely decorated. I don't know if I went in on an off day and I'm hoping that's just the case but I bought 7 different donuts to try and I couldn't finish a single one except the maple bar. They tasted like dirty oil which amazes me since the only thing being fried is dough. Service was nice, I didn't feel rushed with my selections which was nice. Cool to see a spot with so many options for regular doughnuts as well as vegan so kudos on y'all for that. My friend and I got lucky and were able to walk right in and snag a donut pretty easily. Some of the best donuts I have ever had in my entire life! The fact they have vegan donuts which literally don't taste vegan at all blows my mind. I like to eat non dairy and their vegan donuts are def in my top list of non dairy desserts. We were super excited to get our very own Voodoo Donut shop here at home now, but were waiting for the crowds to die down a bit before visiting. My son and I decided to go just after 9am and it was perfect. We ordered ahead on the app and were lucky to easily find a parking spot right out front. We walked up but a nice lady came to the door and said they would only be able to let in one customer per cashier and we would have to wait until one was free. I let her know we ordered ahead and she happily let us in. The woman at the cash register asked for my name and when I told her she smiled and said that's the one I'm working on right now! :) She went down the list, collected all our donuts and we were joyfully on our way. Easy peasy. It seems like a good idea to have folks wait outside so a line forms and those driving by see people waiting. Haha - good marketing! Inside the shop is all pink and you can see all the different donuts offered in a bright rotating glass tower. There are people making donuts on the side that can be viewed from the large window. They will just tell everyone to get out without considering little kids, people who were in line already or apologize for the screwup. I purchased the Raspberry Romeo and was seriously let down when I cut into it. Only 1/3 of the donut (if that) had raspberry filling and the middle part was raw af. I couldn't even eat half of it. First, the quality of the dough is a class lower than competing donut shops. It's not just that soft and feels dry. Second, and this might be a one-off, the cashier presented an extremely disinterested/disengaged demeanor while not acknowledging anybody who comes in, despite it being such a small space... which brings me to my final point, which is that there isn't much space to consume the pastries inside the store. If there were ample outdoor seating, this would be a non-issue.
