Dol Sot Bi Bim Bap (the thing I always have to order) was excellent and garlic chicken wings was so good! If there was a negative, it's that I wasn't all that hungry and couldn't try a lot of dishes. Renovated restaurant looks great from what it was before. I was pleasantly surprised. I stopped at this restaurant on my way to a potluck, and I bought three orders of Japchae. I was hoping to be able to purchase a half pan of noodle but they didn't offer it. I ended up buying 3 orders at $12 each. Spent almost $40 for three small containers of Japchae. Sadly, it wasn't as good as I expected it to be. I haven't tried the chicken yet, but I hope to one day. read more

Best Korean Fried Chicken in Vallejo. No, the whole Bay Area! One of our go-to-places.

[Takeout During Lockdown] So I used to have to cross a bridge to get to another location in this growing chain, and I'm glad to see that there's one closer to home. At the time, one of the delivery apps was able to go to my house, so we decided to put in an order. I've since driven past the location, and it is in the same stretch of building as Safeway. The order sizes are pretty big, maybe bigger than the Concord location. We got the Crispy Fried Drums, Yangyum Boneless, and Rice Cakes. The flavors are really similar if you've been to the other location. If you haven't, theyre very flavorful. One thing I like about this one is that the boneless are chicken breast chunks, as opposed to the other's nugget style. The drums are big here too. One difference that I didn't really like was how the rice cakes were prepared. These didn't have much sauce, and was more like how bread/rice soaks up liquids instead. I'd like to visit and eat at the restaurant as everything is opening up now. But the food was good. If you're comparing the 2 locations, they both have their ups and downs. Check them out. read more

The food was great. I ordered take out for 2 japchae 1 half chicken padak and 1half vons special sauce chicken (paid $2 more for all wings). I'm only giving it 3 stars because I paid $2 extra for all wings on one of my order and I didn't get all wings. The chicken taste good, don't get me wrong. I like flats so if I'm willing to pay extra for it, I'm expecting my order to come out as what I paid for, and not be charged the extra fee if they're just going to make it combo. First of all, Vons chicken tastes good! Very crispy Korean chicken and I love the crispy fried chicken sauce (garlic soy) which is why this review has 2 stars. I would give zero star if it's not for the chicken. We ordered half crispy fried chicken with the sauce on the side. This was one of the option from their online menu. Food was ready in 20mins. We picked up the order and got home and found that there was no sauce on the chicken nor sauce on the side?!? So I called them and they asked me if I was still around. I told the person on the phone I have already went home. If I was around, I would just walked in and picked me the sauce right and not calling! Then that person said "I will give you double sauce next time" What? Next time? That's not helpful for the chicken in front of me! So I said I will go back to pick up the sauce. Back to the store in 10mins and no apology at all. Got home and found out they gave me 2 mild sauce which my order was for half mild and half spicy. I was very disappointed about the service they provided. You can miss the sauce once but you gave me the wrong sauce again? And it clearly on my receipt. So by that time my food was not even hot anymore. Japchae ($9.99) has no favor at all, you can maybe find 3 tiny mushroom in there. Chicken wings were tiny pieces. Food is good, service is not. If the manager is there she's great engaging with you. The rest are some kids that dont check if you need anything or if you have all your dishes. They can't do a simple task and fill your water vase. Then you have to get up get for the check, and then get up to pay. Well why should I tip? First time we visited this restaurant last Jan 10, dinner time. It doesn't look a regular korean restaurant, however their menu display are very attractive and the place is clean. I'm disappointed with their foods. At first we order korean seafood pancake and it took a while to serve and the quality of the seafood ingredients are not great. Then I order galbitang, too much onion and little bit salty. Garlic fried chicken is very dry. Their food server that was scheduled that night are both kind, friendly and went above our expectations. Julie the owner is super sweet she took the time to explain the new menu and gave us suggestions on dishes we've never tried. The food came out hot, fresh and delicious! The four of us shared the tasty beef bibimbap, spicy squid, full size fried chicken / the garlic fried chicken is a little on the sweeter side but still good and Korean corn dogs filled with mozzarella cheese and potatoes topping . It's a solid "meh" from me. Asked the cashier if the potato cheese Korean dog had sausage and she said yes. Was surprised and disappointed when we got home and starting eating it only to find out that it did not have any meat in it. The bulgogi was just ok, the garlic chicken (Combo) was ok on flavor but was too greasy. Didn't get nearly enough Kim Chee for the bulgogi. Really wanted to like this place but was overall bummed especially for the amount of money they charge for each dish it was nowhere near worth what we paid. read more
