They both checked in with me throughout the services to make sure I was happy with everything, and they did an AMAZING job. I'm super satisfied with both the customer service and the quality of their work. ***UPDATE: My nails survived five days in Cabo filled with tons of walking and swimming! I'm officially a month in, and these are the longest-lasting acrylic nails I've ever had WITHOUT lifting or getting caught in my hair. Sammy did both my pedicure and gel manicure. It had been over 6 months since I've got to get my nails done (mother's passing made this the last thing on my mind). Sammy had her hands full to say the least but was very kind and took their time. My nails had been breaking and when I asked if there was anything that can be done she added an extra layer to make them stronger. The offer a complimentary beverage which is a nice touch. When I called to flag it, I was told she should've come back sooner -- but this needed medical care, not a salon visit, which is why we went to her doctor instead. She's diabetic, so this isn't a small thing. Be careful bringing elderly or medically vulnerable family members here. Filing with the state cosmetology board as well.

My gel overlay manicure was great, which I had an appointment for. The pedicure is the issue. They added me in for the pedicure, for which I waited (they notified me that there was going to be a wait, which I was fine with, but I would've been okay without the pedicure if they told me they didn't have room/time.) So I had a classic pedicure with them, removing my previously grown out gel pedicure and asked for a natural pedicure, expecting the usual cut, toe nail filing/ shaping, and cuticle trimming. My nail tech cut the nails, but basically did a hack job on cutting them. It looked like I cut them at home. No filing them even, no shaping whatsoever -- just a messy slather of nail strengthener over my toenails. And this wasn't the first time I didn't get a color polish on my toenails/got a natural pedicure here. I think I already had a feeling when I was leaving that my pedicure wasn't that great but I couldn't really see in the dim lighting, and I was already delayed in needing to pump (breastmilk) so the engorgement/pumping was the more pressing matter on my mind of needing to get out of the nail salon. So I acknowledge it was my fault for not speaking up, but the services provided should be consistent enough that I don't have to be watching my nail tech like a hawk. Edit: when a business owner replies to your review, and basically says it takes time to achieve a "certain look", I think that's ridiculous, and frankly, a problem. Like I said, I've been here plenty of times and have gotten clear polish/pedicures at THIS LOCATION, especially when I came to THIS LOCATION when I was pregnant this past year and couldn't reach my feet. None of those experiences AT THIS LOCATION were bad. This visit just warranted a bad review and they didn't like it and didn't like the photo proof. My toenails were long and grown out (43 days since my last pedicure) so the nail tech had plenty to work with. And like I previously acknowledged, I should've spoken up but gave the reason why it didn't happen. Business owners: stop writing automatic formed responses and be proud of your business and acknowledge when you hire people who don't achieve your vision for your business and cut corners. I got a "pedicure" without a cuticle trim -- I think that's a basic at the very least.

I love how natural and clean my nails look. They feel strong without being super thick or bulky, and I feel like they hold up so much better than what I've done in the past. I always get compliments on my nails, especially the designs and how clean they look. Kunie is so meticulous and creative, and she definitely keeps up with the latest trends and techniques. She's also really knowledgeable about builder gel and what works best for my nails. I can bring her an idea and she'll make it work for me, or I can just trust her to come up with something. I asked for an acrylic full set medium but instead she gave me gel x short nails, which is not at all what I want. Usually I'm able to verbalize my concerns but this whole place gave me the ick and didn't want them talking about me (which I know they do because they were talking about another patron after she left). I will not be going back. The male who did my pedicure (Denny) was pleasant and even told the lady to not make comments. Nail salons are supposed to be a place where you feel pampered and good. This place did the opposite, my entire mood was ruined and I texted my husband throughout how awful of an experience I had. And she cut me twice and I started bleeding. Response to management: I specifically asked for builder gel, however she said I should really do gel x and I said I prefer the builder gel. As she began prepping my nail she asked AGAIN that i really should do gel x which i then responded "okay" because she kept repeatedly asking me even though i asked for builder gel specifically. This is not my first time at a nail salon. In addition, I never once said they were talking poorly about someone in their native language. I have worked with many a people and work in places that others speak comfortable in their native language. It is in poor taste of you as a business owner to assume I felt offended and or uncomfortable with people speaking in their native language. I visibly saw them point at a customer and them talking about how she didn't want to pay for gel despite agreeing to the serve. So please don't assume what I heard versus what I know to have happened, it is in very poor taste. Lastly, I have several pictures I can show as well where I was cut (twice on my finger nails) and once on my pinky toe which required the nail technician to have to stop the bleeding with a cotton ball.
