Lena pro nails has always been my go to nail place for years. Lately their quality has gone down drastically. If it's not them using old nail polish that peels after you're done, it's the way they leave your nails looking a mess with bubbles and the nail polish all wrinkled. I came to Lena Pro for eyelash extensions to try this place out because I missed having eyelash extensions. I made an appointment with Lena herself and she is an absolute sweetheart. LOCATION: This place may be a bit hard to get in if you're on the opposite site of the road. I missed it the first time. There's another nail salon about two spots down that I almost went into instead. The actual location smells very strongly of acrylic and nail solutions, which I expected but it really was strong. I think there needs to be better ventilation perhaps. It is your typical Vietnamese nail salon in OC except everyone is friendly. :) EYELASH EXTENSIONS: Let me make something clear. These are not individual eyelash extensions. Individual eyelash extensions will never cost only $25, or even $50. They typically run from $75-$200 depending on type of lash used, amount of lashes, etc. These are called cluster lashes. Some people call them party lashes. They are bunches of lashes, like Ardell's individual lashes in store. They are glued to your actual lid rather than on your lash. They may be glued from over or from under your real lashes, but are on your eyelid. They are usually recommended to leave on for up to a week. Lena said 2 weeks would be fine, and they actually were! Lena finished my lashes in 20 minutes flat. She put on small-medium lashes. They were so lightweight, which is something I didn't expect! She was very sweet. It was $21 with debit card after the 20% off. LONGEVITY: They actually lasted me the full two weeks before I took them off myself. I babied the heck out of them. I made sure not to get my eye area wet, and used q tips to clean around my eye area without disturbing my lashes. It was wonderful waking up already feeling like a princess with fluttery lashes haha. I took them off 2 weeks before my upcoming vacation to Vegas because I had originally gotten them done to see if I liked them enough to get them done for vegas. Ultimately, my personal choice is that I love them but not enough to keep up the special care for them. Lena did a great job and if I am ever in the mood for them again, I'd go back to her! :) TIPS: - If you want to remove them, use an oil based cleanser. Don't tug them! Gently massage the oil until they fall off. They may come off in clumps, which is pretty normal. - Do not get oil on your eye area otherwise if you're trying to keep them on. Oil weakens the glue. Water does as well but to a lesser extent...but you probably want to keep them on as long as you can so try to avoid water too. - Micellar water on a q tip is how I cleaned my eye area with the lashes on. Worked like a charm! Q tips are your best friend. - Using mascara on them might make your lashes heavier and weaken their curl. - Sleeping on your back will help you maintain your lashes the longest! read more

I went in December for a full set while visiting my family for Christmas. For the price, they did a good job so I went back today. They're total snakes and are completely unclear about when they're going to charge you more for something. I asked for white tips, and it was my first time and didn't care to clarify that it costs more for "white and pink," whatever that means. They also charged to shape my nails (who does that?) and charged for a gel coat when I simply asked for a matte coat instead of a shiny one. NONE of the additional charges were communicated, and even though it was only $11.00 more than what I thought would be $20.00, the sentiment of that is dishonest to me. Additionally, I literally speak Vietnamese, I just don't look like I would. I understood every single word and not only did the manicurist say "I talk too much" when trying to explain what I wanted, she said what I wanted was ugly multiple times. I'm bummed. It can get pretty busy on the weekends so try to come early or during the week. The parking lot is small so if you can't find parking, try parking on the street. I had semi-permanent false lashes applied, a full acrylic set with gel topcoat, a pedicure, and a Brazilian wax done. Because I had so many services completed, the owner gave me a discount on already really great prices. I think it's important to bear in mind this is the perfect place to go if you want to get in and get out quickly on the cheap. This isn't a place for a luxurious pampering spa service - that's probably why the prices are so affordable. I love it. I am super picky about my nail shape, and I was thrilled with how perfect my full set came out. I've never had it done so quickly and beautifully before. As for the rest of my services, I wasn't super thrilled with my pedicure or wax, but again for the price, I wasn't expecting a whole lot. There was less attention to detail than I would have liked during the wax, but it got most of the job done. I usually wear false lashes but was going to Vegas and didn't want to deal with redoing them after pool days, etc. The lashes are not traditional lash extensions and lasted two weeks until I was over them and wanted to take them off. They were super easy to take off once I was ready though which was nice. I would get them again for a special event where I don't want to worry about false lashes not being waterproof. I didn't expect much going into the salon. So when I saw my nails. I wasn't disappointed when I saw my pedi or nails. I arrive around 12. It took about an hour. Everything was great since there was one other person there. She got the shape right. But she rushed when she saw people waiting to be helped. So I suggest go when they open only or else they will half ass it. My polish smudge but I honestly didn't care to tell her since it most likely would have been the same. Also she didn't smooth or polish the nails to make sure there weren't any sharp corners or lumps. They are also limited on the gel colors. Overall if you want something easy and fast. I used to get the individual lash extensions for $100+ but friend Jocelyn recommended me to come here t for $25! They have a much more thicker and fuller look and actually last for about 2 weeks. Lena is so sweet and she makes you pretty in 15 minutes which is crazy since mine used to about a little more than 2 hours.
