We have brought our cars here for the past 10 years and with each experience we couldn't have asked for anything better. Making an appointment was easy, the work was done efficiently and the cost was reasonable. Most of all they are honest and trustworthy. We wouldn't think of taking our cars anywhere else for maintenance. read more

Once again, VJ's has provided outstanding service this week. Our car had been sitting unused for several months, and needed an oil change when we brought it in. They did a full trip check and found things that needed extra attention that could have messed up our trip driving to Arizona. Thank you VJ's! Brian & Michael! read more

We took our Ford Forrester Rv to another company and they told us we needed a new one. We decided to try VJ"s and we're pleased to find out it could be prepared at a fraction of the price for a new one. They were very thorough with the inspection and repair. Thank you read more

Quick, efficient, professional service. Can't ask for more than that. Great job! Brian was great at communicating as well.

This is the go-to place for great service! Michael is so very helpful and professional.

We have taken several of our cars to VJs for repairs over the past five years and have had a positive experience. Last year, I started taking my 2018 Audi as the costs were becoming very high at the dealer. From last November to this month, I had to have so much work done on this car, and it's very expensive. This is not their fault; it's just what it is for that car. I was working with Michael and unfortunately, he took the brunt of my car frustration. They are a thorough shop, and after another visit for just a basic oil change, they came back with more things that needed to be addressed on a 2018 high-mileage foreign car. They are capable of doing the work on foreign cars, but one has to keep in mind the cost can and, for an Audi, will be more. This is a fact and not on VJs, they are definitely competitive and fair. Michael has always been very nice, professional, and attentive. For further interest, I should also mention we recently took our Jeep to them too. They made sure that the repairs they did were thorough and they spent time making sure the issues were fully resolved. read more

Very good experience. Work was done within the estimate and I got my car back earlier than expected. Michael in the office is always pleasant and helpful. read more

I was so pleased with the care and service that VJ and his staff provided me when my RV was vandalized last month. They made sure everything was put back in working order for me to begin my travels. Even made my RV better than it ever was and suggested items that I would need to check on in the future with regards to maintenance. I highly recommend them if you need any work done to your vehicle whether it's large or small. read more

Thanks to AAA's failure to provide assistance, I found VJ's Auto Service. I wasn't able to remove the battery cable from my dead car battery. When I asked for a quote to do this, Brian recommended using a battery plier. He went through the shop trying to locate one, went online to show me the item, called an auto parts company to check availability, and then obtained it from one of his service technicians. When I asked him the charge to use it, he only asked if I promise to return it. No ID, deposit, note to sign. What year am I living in? Brian said he works on faith. When I returned it after unsuccessful attempts to remove the battery cable, he offered additional suggestions. Due to the stubbornness of the connector, these didn't work. Guess where I'm taking my car to fix the problem? read more

Where do I begin? We've been customers at VJ's for over 8 years, and they have never let us down. If my car is having a problem they run the diagnostics and give us they're best pricing for the fix. We never have to worry that they made a mistake. They stand behind all their work. The best part is you won't have to go back several times for another fix or another fix. I've experienced that with other repair co.'s over the years. They're friendly, (VJ, Brian & Michael), and they hire certified mechanics. You'll never have to be concerned in the quality of the workmanship or service VJ offers their clientele. read more

I brought a car here for an inspection before buying it. The car buying experience itself was a nightmare but the service I got at VJs was great and felt super honest and made me feel confident in my decision. I actually felt like I got good advice. I had to change the time several times because of the dealership and they were super understanding. They were also one of the few AAA listed mechanics in the area that actually honor AAA pricing. read more

We had an emergency during our travels. Our camper van required very specific front ball joint replacement. Although the shop was very busy with other customers, VJ's came to our rescue. We did spend a night nearby, however Louis was on it from beginning to end. Customers are made to feel comfortable and we were informed about all the repairs being done. We can't recommend them enough for quality and service. Thank you VJ and team. read more

Brought my Jeep 2021 after warranty had ran out and dealer wanted to charge me almost $1500 to get it checked out and possibly not get it fixed! I am so happy I came to Vj's, who provided me with professional and honest opinion to me as a woman with no idea on car repairs. Thank you Mike & Brian! I will be bringing my car here if I need anything. I hope Vj's continues to have good honest work which is now so rare to find. I recommend bring your car to Vj's for an additional opinion! :-) read more

The most dishonest rv repair you can get. Brian is very very rude. I rent out my TV most of the time. Last time, the RV was damaged in a collision. Initially, Brian said $400, when he learned it was a rental, he sent me a invoice of $900 to paint a storage door, shown in the pic. I came back in 8 days. Now it's $2,500. I said no, I'll bring it somewhere else. Without my permission, they took the panel off. 8 screws to take the panel off. And he ask me to pay $95 for it. They eventually waived the fee. But refused to put it back, and tell me if you aren't taking your car back today, we will start charging you storage fee. I've never threatened by any auto shop like this in my life. read more

Thank you to Michael, he took care of my Subaru, he was very attentive, helpful, and made sure to keep me updated while the car was in the shop! They ran a diagnostic on the car, and figured out the issue quickly, the cost was inexpensive, definitely recommend! read more

I'm leaving a 4 star only because of Michael. Otherwise, it'll be a 2 star. MY 2018 Nissan Rogue had cracking sound when I tried to start the car, but it wouldn't start . I opened the lid and the post of my battery had blue corrosion on it. Although I wasn't sure what went wrong, but I knew there might be something wrong with the battery. I found VJ's because it was recommended by AAA and was told that the inspection fee alone would be $160 before they would do anything about it. I agreed. I called AAA and had my car towed to VJ's. Michael was the one I talked to on the phone and when I followed AAA to drop the car. But he called sick later on that day. Another guy sent me a message in the afternoon asking for $476 just to order a new battery (which would be $227)+chemicals+$47 additional labors, tax, and fees. I called to confirm that $160 inspection fee was included in the $476 bill. I worried that if I did not call, it would be $476+$160=$636 (that's basically just to change the battery even if nothing else was wrong). That would be outrageous. He said $160 was included and they would get the battery within 3 hours and continue with the inspection. And the next day, they called me saying that the car was ready. Of course, the only thing they found was that a new battery was needed. Michael gave me a discount. The total was $410. So basically $227 for the battery, $160 for inspection, tax for $23, and Michael gave me a discount of $15. I feel he's at least more trustworthy than the other guy. They also recommended me to change my front tires and alignment for $852 (I changed my tires at Costco in June 2021 with 90k warranty on my tires). $128 for lil change, $148 for cabin filter and air filter replacement. Unless my car broke down again, I'll drive to my own Mechanic and have him take care of my car. read more

Amazing service from this autoshop! I was doing my research on Yelp for an autoshop that specialized in Land Rovers around my area, and this place popped up on my search. I gave them a call and told them what was wrong with my car. They gave me an estimate based on what I told them I needed fixed. After the call, I'm not going to lie, I definitely did my due diligence in shopping around for best prices in the area. After calling a few other shops, I figured this was the best place with the best price. I confirmed my appointment and the next morning my car was in the shop! They gave me an estimate that my car would be completed before noon. I was a little hesitant about this, especially because I've been to other car shops that have said they were going to be done at a certain time and then before you know it, they've surpassed their estimate and I'm now paying a million bucks (I'm being sarcastic, but you feel my drift...right?) These guys delivered! They were on time with the service and didn't charge me a penny more than what was quoted - WOW! They gave me a free inspection check on what they recommend needs to be fixed for next time as well. Thanks for the amazing service VJ's! read more

Safety first! Thank you VJ, Michael, Brian and crew! I found VJ's via an AAA coupon. What a blessing! I feel truly cared for when I take my car in to be serviced. Mechanic was disorganized and non-communicative and a scammer. I had to call twice over two days to get any sort of update. He told me both times that he didn't know what was wrong with my cars AC. The third time (called about an hour before closing) he just told me it was ready and I could come pick it up. And that the diagnosis was going to cost me $369 just to let me know he could not fix it and it was electrical. I went to pick up the car and it went from $369 to $1069 because it was a limo. They destroyed the limo and tried to charge me $1000 for fixing nothing. Never going back to this place. Owner was unprofessional and a rip off read more

A Porsche, Lexus, and my Toyota pickup have all been serviced at VJ's. Not once was the service ever done without inherent quality and patience being the presentation. If I live nearby, I would drop my car off more frequently as they do everything well. Arcadia is fortunate to have a service outlet that cares for their clients cars and their clients ability to do their work without the car being a limitation. VJ and his wife and staff make sure that their customer population are well cared for as best as they can. read more

My car needed its regular 5000 mile service. The work was done on the schedule promised (quicker, in fact) and at a reasonable price. Vj's is awesome. I am not a "handyman" and when it comes to car service, I tend to be even more unsure. VJ's is upfront and honest about what I need. I took my mint 1988 Mercedes 560SL (140,000 miles) into VJ's. I had sourced VJ's by a Google search for Mercedes specialists in the San Gabriel Valley. The shop is clean, well run and tidy. But I was a little concerned that there were no Mercedes cars in the shop or yard. I needed a "check engine" bulb replaced, which required pulling the dashboard, an oil change, air refrigerant and some nails removed from my one year old Pirelli tires. They did this simple work well and for a fair cost. THE BAD NEWS: I was told my head gasket was going (major job), and all belts needed to be replaced immediately for only about $5k. In reviewing my invoice I noticed they had done the oil change using 30 weight oil, instead of the manufacturer's recommended 20/50 weight. Coincidentally the next day after leaving VJ's my rear seal blew leaking oil badly and causing heavy smoke from falling on the exhaust pipes. Inputting the wrong oil is a small but important detail. This shop is definitely not a Merc specialist. I took the car to Dynamic MBZ in Manhattan Beach, who fixed the rear seal and advised the head gasket seals and belts were OK for another 6-12 months and did not require immediate work. Seems they push the envelope at VJ's to milk you. MORAL OF THE STORY: Take your Buick to VJ's, not your Benz. read more

Overall, this is an overpriced mechanic. They staff is very pleasent to deal with, however the bottomline is I was charged more then the Hyundai dealership to replace my 2011 hyundai sonata starter; I know this because I called the Hyundai dealership in Glendora and they gave me a quote. They were booked for the day so I went to VJs. Only go here if you have no other choice....... read more

Let me start off by saying that whether you are a long-time client or just in for your first visit you will be treated like a boss. VJ {the owner) and Dane (the manager) are the best dyanamic duo ever. Far exceeding that of Batman and Robin, funnier than Cheech and Chong, and wiser than Bert and Ernie. Dane was the star of the show today, helping me with my car maintenance. His personality is like a gravitational belt for which there is no chance of escape if you stand too near him. I came in just for an oil change, and left with more than just that. The red carpet service VJ's auto provides makes you feel like a king among kings. During my stay, my tires were roated, all fluid levels topped off, and a million inspections were done. I'm not going to say that Dane "took me through all the repairs, was honest, empatheic, blah blah blah" because that's what you read in all automtive reviews (that are positive I should add). Here's the big question, without any metaphors or references to pop culture, how does VJ's auto manage to be a cut above the rest? Their love of the game. The people at VJ's auto are so dedicated to their work, and most importantly love what they do (and that's rare to find in any profession). And that's why I will go back to VJ's Auto. read more
