Hands down Vizzini's in the Cape shopping center has the absolute BEST customer service! It is wonderful to see the owner working right alongside the employees; it truly makes a difference. The place is always clean and the food is amazing. Our family absolutely loves this restaurant! read more

The employees at The Cape St Claire location were super polite, friendly and courteous. The phone was ringing non stop and new customers continued to come in and order. Not once, did the employees get flustered, but maintained their politeness and even apologized for being so busy. That is not normal these days, but I'll take it. Great job guys!!! read more

Vizzini's Pizza'n Subs - Pizza Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

Let me preface this by saying prior to the pandemic, Vizzini's was just that spot that I knew from various school dances in middle school. However, since moving back to the area during the pandemic, it's become my go to local spot for pizza, a cheesesteak, etc. A couple of things before my review of my most recent experience: 1) The prices of the food are decent for a smaller mom and pop chain and are in line with other spots in the area with a similar number of locations (Squisito, Bella Italia, Carini's, etc.). 2) I don't expect much from places like Vizzini's because it's a neighborhood pizza spot in suburban Maryland. As long as it's hot, fresh, and what I ordered, I'm fine. This isn't New York and therefore I know I'm not gonna be getting John's of Bleecker, so the scale on how I rate something like this place will be less picky. My most recent experience I ordered a chicken sub with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, mayo and a side of fries. The fries were that perfect salty, crispy, skin on type of fry you fantasize about at baseball games. You know the ones. No complaints. I had also ordered a large birch beer -- something that you don't see at most restaurants -- but this was my first nitpick. I got a drink that was much smaller than advertised, so needless to say when it was delivered, I scratched my head a little bit. My biggest issue was with my sandwich: lots of chicken which was GREAT because some places skimp on protein around here. However, half the toppings were missing which again... kind of a hard thing to mess up on. I'm willing to give benefit of the doubt to a point, but that seemed off. All of that said though -- this last experience is kind of an outlier. Typically they do a great job of honoring requests like asking for ranch on the side. One time, my roommate wanted a side of nacho cheese but didn't see an option for it on her delivery app so she just asked for it and they gave her the hookup. That's the difference between a good mom and pop local spot and a bad one! Overall, really solid spot and I'm happy to have it in my rotation of local restaurants I plan on continuing to support. read more

I just had a delicious steak and egg sub Marine on a delicious freshly baked sub roll. Very clean. Very nice. I can't say any more than that. Other than that the owner is a true Sicilian from the Sicilian town of Vizzini. I thought he named it after the character in the Princess Bride movie. But no, it's his real name. read more

The pizza is alright but definitely better options out there. Used to go here a lot but to be honest I prefer Ledos more even Papa John's more. I mean Vizzinis is alright but you never hear someone say they want to order Vizzinis. It's only let's go get papa John's or let's go get ledos. I say only go here for convenience if you live in cape st Claire or just go to papa John's near it read more

1 star for the mozzarella sticks which seemed to be fresh out the fryer and hot. Which is super strange because in contrast, the pizza had clearly been left under a warmer for many hours. As tough and as flavorful as actual cardboard. All of the moisture from the sauce and cheese had seemingly evaporated under the lamp. Maybe its better fresh? But not willing to risk ordering from here ever again to see. So the second star is for service (lamp pizza=fast) and benefit of the doubt. read more

They stink except for their pizza. They have a few decent appetizer items, but the prices for the small portions are outrageous. I have ordered delivery more frequently than carry out. You never know when the order is going to arrive. They always say 45 minutes, but it could arrive in 15 minutes or an hour. They don't have dine-in. I will never forget the incident around 3 years ago when I viewed their current menu and pricing online. I called in the order and was told it was going to be around $10 more than the menu stated. I cancelled the order and suggested that they should be reported to The Better Business Bureau. A few minutes later I received a nasty call from "one of the owners." Extremely argumentative. He went on about how great their ingredients are. I couldn't get it through his skull that it is not good business practice to advertise items at one price and charge a higher amount. There wasn't even a "pricing subject to change disclaimer". They have lost me as a regular customer except when I'm in a pinch. read more

Grew up loving this place. Haven't been in years and decided to make a stop. I ordered a cold cut sub with fries. Ended up regretting it afterwards. I was in the bathroom all night. Never again will I eat here. read more

New to the area, so first time trying this place out. Ordered a chicken cheese steak and the Vito, and both were delicious! The chicken cheese steak was the favorite, overflowing with meat and grilled veggies, and of course cheese. Not too salty yet flavorful. The Vito sun was also good and packed with meat! Definitely will be ordering again. Also this is during the COVID-19 crisis and staff were noticeably quick and professional, all wearing gloves and changed them after doing payment. Thank you for your hard work during this time! read more

Heed other reviewers: this place does not care about cleanliness or the safety of food. After paying, the young worker handled the cash, closed the drawer, and went right to smooshing dough around with bare, unwashed hands. Whichever toppings you get know that you're also getting whatever was on the money/wallet/pockets of the person who came before you. (And who knows what happens where customers *can't* see!) read more

We went there for carry out last night ... First i need to say they are all friendly and the pizza is decent from past experiences ...,,however Let me just say I can't believe the health dept has not shut them down! They answer phones and handle money, wipe their noses and sweat and proceed to knead pizza dough and make pizza. No gloves or hand washing or even hand sanitizer. We were astonished watching this happen blatantly like this is totally normal operation ... I was so grossed out! read more

Easily the best pizza in the Cape. I write this a someone who used to work in a fairly popular mom-and-pop pizza joint back in the day. The ingredients they use are good, to include Grande Cheese, which is some of the best in the business. The toppings offered are easily more diverse to include real bacon, green olives and some other more unique items as well. When they make the pizza the sauce and cheese are properly ratio-ed, the toppings have good distribution and the bottom has a nice brown to it. Seriously people, your pizza should "thunk" when you hit the bottom of it, not be like a sponge. The prices are ridiculously good. A large pizza is 16" here as opposed to 14" elsewhere and usually every day you can score a large cheese pizza on carry-out for only $7.99. The pizza has always been hot, correctly cooked and the kids that work there are usually pretty pleasant to deal with. Overall they're a solid choice for a quick pizza that won't break the bank and avoids the nasty chain places in the area. read more

Encouraged by looks, discouraged by taste. I'm a pizzaholic and can say safely it falls short of the chain places , which is difficult. Too doughy and cardboard like with little flavor. The wings were tasty, but small with very little sauce. Definitely asked for extra sauce. I ordered the fries based on other reviews. They were decent, but a little light for the cost. You be the judge... read more

Vizzini's Pizza'n Subs - Kinda light on the quantity for the price - Pizza Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

My word, Southpark nailed there episode about Yelp Reviewers. This place is an excellent pizza and subs joint. Fresh dough, lots of quality cheese and toppings. They almost always beat the time it takes to get your food, and even the delivery folks are quality. Some of the negative comments kill me - you live 2 minutes away and whined about delivery? Walk, damn you! They have good specials to cover most appetites and can accommodate most requests, so don't hesitate to ask. Definitely the best pizza in Cape, and best that delivers from here to Arnold and beyond. read more

Pretty good pizza... Tastier than Dominoes or Pizza Hut - get it delivered and avoid standing around waiting Update: now they have sandwiches also. read more

The subs are decent as pizza place subs go, and the fries are great if they are fresh. The pizza is always greasy, but the kids like it (I do sop a lot of the greace off before they got to eat it though :) They seem to go through staff a lot, some are good but most are clueless. We do get it probably quarterly, because it's pretty convenient. read more

Wow! Thursday night and ordered a pizza. Going on 2 HOURS for delivery. You work all day, come home and you are hungry, to put up with this BS. To top it all off, the pizza was mediocre. read more

Love this place. Their cheesesteaks are amazing and tempt me more often than I should allow. The staff will always help you get the best deal for your order. Great food plus great customer service! Not to mention they deliver!! Love this place. read more

I'm sorry to say this, but I was hoping to support local businesses during covid, and this was the absolute worst. It was my first time ordering from this chain. I wanted a pizza for dinner. What I got was a cold piece of cardboard. I really don't like posting negative reviews, but this pizza went in the trash. Don't waste your money! read more

Vizzinis in CSC is a classic... my father loves this place. He would literally eat their pizza every day if that were acceptable... of course always stating "is this a pie, or what!?".... just like hes done for the past 2 decades. I've always experienced great customer service and hot, fresh food. They also do subs. My go-to is a BLT sub with provolone and mayo. They stay busy, especially on weekends so save some time by picking up or place your order in a timely fashion BEFORE you are feeling ravenous. read more

I won't be ordering from here again unless I am desperate. The food was ready when I arrived and the people working there were friendly but it wasn't great. The pizza was dry and didn't seem fresh or tasty. I'd equate it to leftover pizza. The salad was okay but the dressing was gross. I really wanted to like this place because of its excellent location but they need to step it up. read more

I don't live in the area but I've order from here multiple times when I babysit. Not the hugest fan of Pizza, but I love the pizza here. Not only the pizza but I like the subs too. The fries are always good, usually over done and cold, but I don't think I've ever had hot fries when getting a delivery from anywhere. read more

I'm Italian and I know pizza!! Hands down great pizza and subs in Annapolis! Delivery service was on point. I will be back to oder more!

Great pizza.... great coverage on the toppings. I ordered anchovy and usually places will skimp on that but my pizza looked like it had a school of fish swimming on it. Beautiful. . read more

Vizzini's Pizza'n Subs - a cheesy pizza - Pizza Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

I order from Vizzini's all the time. It's very hit or miss on stuff like fries and pizza. The pizza is good when the dough doesn't get the hard skin on it from sitting too long. If you've ever made pizza, you know what I'm talking about. Still, it's a lot cheaper than the chain delivery guys and usually better. If I'm getting delivery pizza in Arnold, Vizzini's is my go-to. The fries are fine as long as you're not getting the bottom of the basket that has sat there for a while. The subs are ok. Not amazing, not terrible. Avoid the cheesesteak if you're a cheesesteak fan...it's not very good. No better or worse than Pizza Bolis or Dominos. My biggest gripe with Vizzini's is that they can NEVER get my 2-liter order right. I guess Diet Coke = Coke there. I worked in pizza delivery during high school/college and this isn't hard to get right. This is not a bad review, but a critique of a place I order from all the time. If you are in Arnold and value pretty good pizza at a very good price, check out Vizzini's. read more

For subs, sandwiches this place is the best. Always freshly made, good variety and they deliver hot food with friendly service. Locally owned and operated. For those days when you want a real burger, pizza real sub and fab fries - Vizzini's is the place. read more

Delivery was fast on a Saturday evening and that was awesome b/c we were starving!! The food was so fresh and delicious and they got all of our special requests just right! We will definitely order again soon!! I feel that the quality of food here has gotten better over the years! read more

I'm giving them 2 stars based solely on the subs. The subs are worth a try. I eat here monthly and whenever I decide to go for a pizza I am very disappointed. They are too expensive to skimp on the toppings the way that they do. Even if you pay for extra toppings it looks as if you didnt. And their customer service sucks. I've never gotten a smile from any of them. Not once. read more

The pizza is great, we order once a week. Unfortunately the girl that answers the phone is very rude. So you can get pass that one! The other weird thing is that from time to time they are out of what i would call "main ingredients" seriously its pizza and you are out of pepperoni? Go to the store next door and buy some. Having said that, it's the best pizza delivery so far in the Cape. read more

I'm only giving 4 stars simply because I haven't tried their pizza yet. Today was the first time I've gone there and had a cheeseteak and fries. The sub was excellent, the bread was fresh and it was stuffed with meat. The fries were great too and a large portion. Next time we'll know to share an order because we had too much. I'll be back to try their pizza. The employees are super nice and they have a great manager! read more

I really only go here for the subs. The pizza is meh to me and if I'm gonna cheat and get pizza, there are other places to get it from. However for subs, it's amazing! If you are a little stingy when it comes to the amount of meat, make sure you order double meat! The rolls make these subs along with the fresh ingredients. Also make sure you get the fries fresh...amazing hot and fresh but not so much when they get cold. Throw some old bay in the bag and shake em around. Yum! Prices are also good here if you get a carry out special. read more

The pizza is incredibly greasy but the fries are superb:)

Ordered from here on a Friday night, order took over an hour for delivery. Surprisingly the food was still hot and it was delicious however not enough meat on the subs, and we specifically asked for no ice in our fountain drinks and they still put ice in the drinks ‍‍ read more

I tried ordering from Vizzini's for the first time last night. I live 2 minutes from them and thought I'd give them a try. All I ordered was macaroni bites and a cannoli. It took an hour and 20 minutes for my food to be delivered which is unacceptable as I live so close to the location. After waiting that long for my food I was unimpressed and didn't care to tip. I politely thanked him for the food and he said thank you then he stood there expecting a tip. I said have a good night and he makes a nasty face and walks away and says extremely loud "THANK YOU" because he was pissed I didn't tip. I will never order from Vizzini's again. I'm so happy I didn't tip because the macaroni bites were so overdone they were inedible anyway! Overall, horrible experience. read more

We ordered delivery STARVING after moving all day - just a pizza & salad. The pizza was greasy bordering inedible and they didn't bring me dressing for the salad, which ordinarily wouldn't have been a big seal if we hadn't just moved in our belongings. We use Pizza Bolis now, much better. read more

Philly cheesesteak is pretty solid ! I would rate a 4 alone for that. I am not a fan of their pizza the sauce has a very canned taste , and the crust flavoring / texture I am not a fan. Their buffalo Matz pizza is decent but again don't like crust. Mac and cheese bites are pretty good too. read more

I called to place a pick up order . I asked specifically how much extra toppings are. The girl taking my order informed me that there was no charge for toppings on a sub . I placed my order . Arrived at this location to find that my price of the sub had changed . I asked why did my price change , the employee informed me taxes were added . So I picked up a menu and showed them their own prices . They were stunned to learn their own prices ! Once they were caught giving me the wrong price they then tried to use the toppings as an excuse . I informed them that I had already inquired about the topping cost . At this point they were very mad and frustrated and giving me attitude . They lowered the price they were asking me to pay since I confronted them. Finally I paid and waited to receive my 10 cents change . Since the price had changed and not the price on the register they were lost as to doing simple math so they just closed the register and looked at me . I reminded them of my change . They asked me with a very frustrated attitude how much my change was . I told them , they paid and I was on my way with intent to never visit this business again and to inform all of my co workers about the situation read more
