Called to cancel, they needed proof equipment was paid off for early buy out promise. We have email proof and provided by supervisor in email we could cancel no termination fees. Two months, no service turned off. We had moved to new place. We call back, we need proof. We did this already, but they say they don't have it but offer two months free hoping our buyer if home would want it. we say okay but if at the end of two months house hasn't sold, cancel. They did not and drafted out our account. We call back, same mess different day. We submit documentation and forward previous emails. Time went by, they tried to draft again but we removed auto draft. Sent bill with late fee. Get on phone again and here we are trying to cancel since September 2025, it's mid April 2026, still not cancelled and they refuse to give us the months back they drafted and saying they have no record of verifying our payoff of equipment or cancellation. So I will never recommend them ever because cancelling isn't option. Seeking legal action now. We have names of cancelling department, emails and proof of payoff. Do not use them.

This annoys us, as it goes off even when bugs fly by, and it's very loud. My husband called to see about the cost of setting up service to use the system and turn off the whistle noise, but as soon as we decided the cost was too high and said no, it was like a switch was flipped in the representative's customer service. My husband asked him if there was any way to get into the panel to turn the whistle off, and Jake (the representative on the phone) said--in the most condescending tone that really took me aback--"Well, no. That's what you pay for service for." Imagine the tone you'd use if you thought someone was the biggest idiot in the world, and you'd have his tone. I've worked in customer service, and it's something I care about. This guy, Jake? He doesn't have it. By the way, he had no interest in helping or staying on the phone to answer any questions. Once we said no to service, he was done. (My husband had even said we might consider activating at a later time. Definitely not, now.) He mumbled something about transferring to customer service, didn't say, "have a good day," or anything...just left. Anyway, still stuck with the annoying whistle. Great. This wasn't a particular location, just over the phone.

Worst of all though, is a safety hazard they created that we didn't recognize til winter. One of the sets of panels is set up above our front door. After a heavy snowfall, as the snow starts to melt, the snow on the solar panels falls in a single avalanche right over our front steps. It took down the gutter this year, and I'm terrified that if one of our kids or my elderly MIL (who lives with us) happens to be under that spot when the snow goes, it could cause a serious injury. Of course we called the company, but it took several calls to get to a supervisor. They won't take responsibility for their poor design, and offered to sell us a guard to redirect the fall of the snow. I wish we'd picked another company.

Also they said I needed a new roof and the $4,000 would be financed through their companion company called Goodleap for 20 years. The cost for these was $52 monthly for the panels and $100.00 monthly for the roof for 20 years. Recently found out the $100.00 monthly for the roof is only the interest payment and at the end of the 20 years I will still owe $4,000.00 plus more ibterest. Don't make the mistake I did and get "taken in" by a slick talking sales person. I'm embarrassed i was such a fool. Cavear emptor - buyer beware. .

They outsourced their customer…read moreservice so on top of them not effectively addressing your issue there will be a language barrier assuming you only speak english. The company does not seem to communicate well internally either. Proceed with caution. My wife and I purchased a home 9 months ago that already had solar panels that were purchased by the previous owner. For some reason Vivant still has the panels in the previous owners name and they refuse to change it without the previous owners authurization.

Yet, they continue to charge me an "estimated production" rate that will be resolved "one - two billing cycles after the panels are completely reinstalled". I have asked that the auto payment be discontinued until the panels are reinstalled because the production rate is 0 due to their inability or unwillingness to follow through with the contracted agreement of reinstalling in a timely manner. So…read morewhen you call the company, owners Son-Mom duo (Perry & Sally) are going to pick up the phone. From the very first call, they were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel comfortable choosing them. There was no upselling, in-fact Perry convinced me to drop some unnecessary equipment (which would have otherwise added to the invoice price). The installation went smoothly, and the team (David, Nathan and John) took their time to explain everything clearly and answer all of our questions. What really sets them apart is the support after the installation. Anytime we've had a question or needed help, they've been quick to respond and genuinely happy to assist. The owner, Perry, dropped by a couple of days after installation to help us out on an issue. It's rare to find a company that truly cares about their customers the way they do. It feels great supporting a local family business, and we feel much safer in our home because of them. We did thorough due diligence for a couple of months and are happy to work with N&D Security. Last year, after cancelling my land line, I called to cancel the services. I was directed to customer service but no response or call back. I I called them several times before I reached a representative who acknowledged that my account had been cancelled and said she'd credit my account for the charges. Still the bills kept coming. I called again and spoke to a representative who denied that I had canceled my account. I then started receiving notices that my account was being turned over to a collection agency. According to paragraph "h" in the contract, The Company shall not be obligated to perform any monitoring service here under during any tie when Subscriber's telephone or telephone equipment or other applicable equipment shall not be working since signals to the Company are received solely by means of telephone or other forms of communication. Subscriber shall notify the Companyy immediately of any modification, alteration, termination or discharge of this Agreement or any other Agreement between the Subscriber and the Company. Failure to do so will result in discharge and release of the Company from any obligations and services here under and termination of this Agreement. Do not use this company! The customer service is non existence.
