Was nothing the did, it was something done during new construction 14 years ago. The infinity system has been wonderful so far. Can't wait for heating season. I highly recommend Coastal Comfort. Process from sales rep to the installation team was seamless. Thank you for a great experience!

I have been a loyal 19 year customer with annual maintenance every one of those years. I LOVE…read moreCarrier equipment as I designed my own system layout as far as damper and trunkine placement. Previous management completed the job with spectacular results. I have a top-line Infinity gas back-up furnace, 5 dampers for a single unit system with 4 zones on two floors for a 3300 sq. ft. home. (I cleared drywall space in the basement ceiling to facilitate two trunk lines parallelling the I-Beam in the basement; some ducks up, some down). I have reviewed Coastal Comfort extremely well up to the replacement of my outdoor heat pump three years ago. After all these years of my many positive experiences with Coastal, especially regarding the 'non-management' front office staff and the highly qualified technicians that I've grown to love, I can tell you that this company has changed to the negative.... after the transition from the now-owner's father- Kevin Coleman. There's such an emphasis on growth ambitions, market share, profitability.... General and Service Managers have been hired that are nothing more than confrontational and abrasive in their communication styles if anything doesn't go as expected for them.. A total inability to listen----and it's supported by the now second-generation owner!! LOL Bottom line ---Bryant equipment is EXACTLY the same as Carrier. I was told this by the distributor they purchase all their equipment from! The equivelant of Carrier's Infinity furnace that I own and love is Bryant's 'Evolution'. It's just another brand running down the same assembly lines in the Carrier Global manufacturing plant! Do your own research for a local dealer of your choice, whether it's Carrier or Bryant!~ Sometimes a smaller company is much preferrred verses one that doesn't exerecise basic customer communication skills on a managerial level or truly listen to a customer when ther is an issue. Here's a takeaway----Call Coastal Comfort , or when they call you, they always recite the disclaimer statement of "You're on a recorded line" Who cares!! It's a partial intimidation tactic that they actually spend a lot of valuable minutes on to review hundreds of calls instead of a fucus on customer satisfaction issues. It's almost humurous thinking about all the wasted minutes when more productive time utilization can allow the business to prosper more effectively.

I cannot recommend this company enough. Also, I cannot recommend the technician Sky enough either…read more I contacted them late in the evening. Early the next morning, I received a call from them. They asked if I still required service and when I said "Yes", indicated they had a technician available and said he could be there shortly. Sky was very personable and verified what I had done and checked the inside unit and breakers first. Then, he went outside and checked the external unit. He replaced a blown capacitor and I have A/C. From the time I was contacted to the time I got cold air blowing was less than an hour. The charge was very reasonable. I like it when a technician doesn't assume anything. It gives me a 'warm fuzzy' when someone 'trusts but verifies'. Thoroughness is a great quality in any job. Since we no longer rent our unit, our rental agent no longer handles routine maintenance, so Sky took my information for a service contract. The amount he quoted was also very reasonable. He gave me some hints to keep the unit in peak condition as well. During the service call, he received a call apparently from another technician. During that call, he was polite and attempted to talk the other person through some maintenance process. Just a very helpful guy. I will definitely use this company again.

They came out to do a routine service call on a system that they installed 5 years ago. They told me that I needed parts and that my system was no longer under warranty. I was concerned that the system did not send me a notification of the needed repair and I thought my system had a 10 year warranty! It was a very expensive system. Aaron asked me to pay upfront for the part and for two service calls. I did because I trusted them. They didn't come back as promised to make the repair. I called Carrier and was told that I should not have had to pay for the part because it was under warranty and they also noted that they did not get a notification of the failure either as they and I should have. When Aaron finally returned to install the part, he apologized up and down for letting me down. He said that as soon as Carrier reimbursed him for the part he would return my money. He told me a week later that the check had come and he would return the money as soon as it cleared. Well now he doesn't return my texts and his voicemail is always full! It has been several months and I haven't seen my money. I was the first person to review this company when they opened. I believed in them. Now I tell people to find someone else. These guys don't seem to be the honest people that they once were!

I am sure they had many other calls that day--units 'always' break at inopportune times... However, within 20 minutes they responded to a voice mail and had a senior technician (Mike) to the house within the next 30 minutes--less than an hour from our initial call. He did a thorough analysis of the issue, clearly described his findings and let us know next steps. Back at the office they worked up various options, called us early the next day, clearly explaining everything, including cost and timing. A day later parts arrived and Mike was at our house first thing in the morning, at the scheduled time. While he was completing the exterior installation, he noticed an interior valve that wasn't working correctly, ordered that and set up the final check. These are really good people. They communicate clearly. They complete the work efficiently, expertly and in a timely fashion. If you need HVAC work and want trustworthy contractors--call them!
