DeAndre Molock was the acrylic technician who worked on our bathroom and he did a phenomenal job! When my husband informed him of my discomfort with enclosures DeAndre readily reduced the height of the knee wall so that the area would feel more open and spacious,. In addition to doing such a great job, his customer service skills are superb. He is most definitely an asset to Spicer Brothers. Another individual who did a fantastic job was Ross. Despite delays, miscommunication, etc., the interactions with these two gentlemen went a long way in smoothing out the hiccups and the resolution was acceptable. Thank you both sooo much!! read more

Spicerbros must be the worst roofing and services business in all of Delmarva. They bait and switch customers with untrustworthy agreements, work crews, and leadership *consistently*. We were promised many, many things (like having full-time leadership on site at all times, and having non-sub-contracted Spicer Bros teams do all of the work. Guess what? Spicer Brothers subcontracted out our *entire* job. This company has an enormous communication problem - both within the company and with their customers. Spicer Bros also do not honor coupons and/or refunds they themselves create and promote. They promise (County) permits for every job. We never saw, or received, a single one. Want an easy test to tell if a Spicer Bros employee is lying to you? If they're running their mouth, they're lying to you. Had a new roof.paid close to 20000.00zvery nice job but they refuse to own up to damage to their dump bins being pushed or pulled on my lawn or neighbors lot.I complained and Eric came with Ross and they said these are not ruts!these are not ruts.i said look at those tracks!he said right ....they are tire tracks ....not ruts.omg ruts tracks what difference they were not there before the job. he was so confrontational and said another truck did it.I stormed away cause they won't fix.told them pull out your sign! very very poor customer respect.hope I do not get "ruts"in my roof!haha.I will not recommend as business is people relations too.once they get your money they changed. read more

I was really impressed with the experience working with Spicer Brothers for a new roof on a home built in 1994 that has hardly seen any improvements. Every step from the estimator through the installation went smoothly. When I met Dwayne on the job he was friendly, informative and helpful. His crew worked steadily and were finished well ahead of the estimated completion time. Buyer beware! had a roof leak and Spicer Brothers sold me a new roof. the leak was not fixed! so Spicer Brothers told me I needed a new chimney enclosure. That lasted 3months. called Spicer Brothers multiple times, as it was the rainy season and the leak was coming into the house and ruining my ceiling! Bought the top of the line every thing; all went well until they didn't have the tool to complete the replacement of the trim. The supervisor sent an email to the project manager, and it's been 14 days that my Trim has been missing. Note: I sent the final payment the day they installed the roof (mistake on my part). Called after the 5th day, called after the 12th day and was told the scheduler was sick, but it didn't look like they would get to it till next week, however he would call right back to confirm. I reminded him of why a house required roofing, siding, and trim. And that it had already rained 9 of the 12 days. The haven't called, Trim still not installed. I would have loved to give the salesman 5 stars if I could but he didn't seem to be getting good advice. Found out after the initial interview when a proposal was offered that they offered a Low price guarantee. Should have known this at the point of sale along with examples of their products so comparisons could have been made as they wanted it to be compared Apples to Apples. When I did find out, as stipulated by their Low price guarantee that the components have to be exactly the same. Impossible if examples aren't provided and you don't know in advance of their offer. Without proof from which to draw an accurate comparison offering a low price guarantee is NO guarantee at all. As it turned out they wanted proof that the quotes were similar. The materials were similar and components the same but a different manufacturer that I could not justify in my paying $1,800 dollars more without researching on line but after thinking this through I find that Spicer declined to honor their Lowest Price guarantee by claiming superior materials.This is probably likely but to a layman it felt more as if I was just snowed. As a result I did not buy. I would have liked to as I said earlier the sales person was a nice young man just not equipped to address Spicer's low price warranty that amounts to really no warranty at all read more

We hired Spicer for a roof and a dormer. The roof quote was about an three thousand over the other quotes but the wait was six months out for the job. We choose them based on other people roof experience which was good. We had to call about four months later to find our file was lost and had to reschedule the job. They install the wrong roof vent but charged us for the expensive one. The work itself was good. After some discussion they did give the value in work not in cash. As for the dormer it was done well. At the last minute they told us they forgot the building permit and wanted to charge us three times what it costed, which was a simple phone call to the county government and a lot less. It surprised me that a company like this doesn't include a building permit in the quote. We also had some siding work done. One crew was slower than slow. So don't pay by the hour. I gave two stars because when I called with an issue they fixed the problem most of the time. read more

The job was planned in advance. The crew showed up early. The job was done in a single day and much quicker than I imagined. The roof looks amazing. The leaks are fixed. When minor accidental damage was done to my driveway by the crew the damage was promised to be fixed. GREAT customer service, especially when it came to the accidental damage. This is the second time that I have contracted with Spicer Bros to have work done on my Eastern Shore home. The first was the installation of heavy duty gutters and downspouts on our home, and the most recent was the replacement of roof shingles on a storage barn. Both jobs were done exactly as promised, with quality construction and materials and without any disturbance to landscaping or grounds! A few years back they did a roof for one of my rentals and they were good. I've contacted them three times in the past year and every time AND I mean every Time they could not get me on the schedule for two months! One time it was going to be two months before I could even get an estimate. Obviously if you have a leak it can be time sensitive and you don't have two months to just let it go. We originally contacted them to get a price on 4 projects in our home. We were growing frustrated with local contractors only wanting to do easy work. The estimator was on time and very friendly but he only wanted to give us a price on two of the jobs. The other two were too difficult (because they involved stucco work.) we got a price for the easiest job very quickly but then for the other one we had to wait several weeks before the owner came back from his vacation to approve it. We hired them for the first job which was an easy gutter install and they didn't show up to do the work but then came the following Saturday to do the work. The quality of the work was excellent. So then eventually, after going back-and-forth on several pricing line items, we hired them to do the skylight replacements. Again they didn't show on the date they said they would and then gave me another date about 10 days later. They did show up for that but then after about 45 minutes their technician grew frustrated with not knowing how to uninstall the existing skylights and then he left. A few days later his manager came out to take a look and said he would call me the next day with a new appointment date. He never called and it was another four weeks before they showed up (with a couple no-shows in the middle) meanwhile the new skylights sat in my driveway. When they arrived they talked about removing finished wood around the skylights inside the house to see what was underneath but I had the forward-thinking to investigate the problem myself and printed out the manual for the 1990 sky lights that were installed on my roof. Turns out all you had to do was take out a couple screws and that would expose the mounting system. So they replaced the five skylights but in doing so used a Sawsall to cut my facia board away for access to one of the skylights. I went up on the roof to inspect their work and they intended to leave a huge hole in my facia which would allow animals access to my attic. I made them go up and do something about it and they folded up some metal and stuck it in there. Needless to say the next day we had a black snake in our attic. I called them back and demanded that the owner call me, however he never did not. Instead several days later the manager called and then stopped by and then it was another two weeks before they sent someone to fix the facia board. Finally they did fix the facia board to my liking. However I did find screws and little bits of metal all around the pool patio and all over the yard. Overall I would not recommend Spicer Brothers however they did have a good price. Most of the employees were friendly but they're only looking to do easy work at high margins. They talk a big game in their TV advertisements but they are just another Delmarva disappointment. I gave them two stars because of all the frustration I had to deal with but if you take all of that away I would've given them three stars on the installation. The skylights look good and they have not leaked, but it was a long road getting there. read more

I can not say enough positive things about Spice Brothers. From the very beginning I have been impressed. Mike Calloway completed the estimate, and catered to several changes we asked for. During the process of getting on their schedule, Kelley was super helpful and always polite. Once it was time to install our roof, Eric provided great customer service and knowledge. Jordon, who was our on site supervisor was a pleasure to work with. He made sure we were happy with the work and all our questions got answered. Since we were an emergency install (leaking roof) and the job got pushed 2 days due to rain, on the day of install, Jordon showed up with 2 crews (10 men). They removed 2 layers of asphalt shingles and a layer of cedar shake and plywood. Unbelievably, they completed the job in one day. Even with all the rain we had, their equipment left minimal mess in the yard. There was one helper that kept all the trash off the bushes and out of the yard. Nothing got broken or messed up. I was very worried about the kind of mess that this roofing job would leave, but I was pleasantly happy with the crew and the cleanup. Jordon even sent 4 workers into our attic to clean up all the mess. When I went in the attic for inspection, I was SHOCKED at what little I had to clean up. The second crew came back to install the copper flashing around the chimneys. This young man, Miguel and his helper Dwayne, WOW they sure can create a work of ART.
