I have used activ pest solutions for 3 years. During that time I did not have any complaints we…read morebought a brand new house abutting some wooded area here in delaware and we had a mice infestation in our house after leaving the house for the first season. Activ pest put black boxes around the house and in the garage and the mice problem vanished. Recently we were told activ -pest were either taken over or purchased by another company. Well yesterday they came to the house and without any discussion sprayed stuff in our house and left a wet residue all around the house. They never told me what it was and never used this before. We have pets and what's more they just had told us that they had to remove the black boxes in the garage because they were converting to a new " poison control method". we were very concerned because there was evidence the mice were eating the poison and we had no problems to date. Unknown to us they also removed the outside boxes while telling us they would remain until replacements were laid down. When I discovered the boxes were gone they told me they were ordering new metal boxes but did not know when they were coming in. These people were charging me and leaving our house totally unprotected for the worst mice season ever near these woods. Mindless neglect by activ pest. We fired them immediately and hired frontline. They use good poison and don't lie about it being there to protect our home. You've been warned! Sherri was wonderful who works there. I hope she gets another good job with a good company. The worst part was that they lied about the home being protected when not one of the boxes inside or outside remained. When confronted the manager said they can replace them with " mechanical traps " until they figure out what metal boxes they will be using. Yahhhh i want a piece of cheese behind my couch... so when i come back next year i have decaying mouse bodies all over my property and house.....................this vendor showed disregard for us as paying customers and took advantage of the fact that most people will not trail around after a bug guy to see exactly what they are doing or not doing.

I called and spoke with both Pam and Teresa to set up an appointment for Treatment. That in itself was a real pleasure. They are both very friendly and professional. Top notch communication as well. I chose the quarterly treatment program. It is very reasonable and well worth it because they will return between treatments free of charge to address any issues if needed. Drew was the technician who came to my house and applied the first treatment on 10/01/25. He assessed my situation and could clearly see the issue I was dealing with. He is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He wasted no time getting started going around the whole house cleaning and knocking down all of the webs before beginning the application. He was very thorough and treated every nook and cranny that he could access and then followed that up with the perimeter treatment. The spiders and ants stood no chance. I could not believe all of the spiders that came out of hiding and were terminated on the spot. I am writing this review on 10/11/25 because I wanted to be able to let potential customers know that as of today I do not have a spider problem and any spiders that decided to show up after the fact and attempt to set up house had ZERO success. I highly recommend Dave Smith and will continue to use them moving forward. I had a real mess on my hands and Drew knocked it out of the park. Literally! Overall, I could not be happier
