In a world full of companies that don't show up for estimates or inspections, I am so glad I found Active Pest solutions. I called and schedule an inspection and the tech called and asked if they could come an hour earlier than scheduled. Of course you can. He arrived and asked if I had any areas of concern. I explained 2 areas. He strapped on his knee pads and began inspection in the crawl space. He searched the entire space and came back with wonderful news. No termites and the house has been treated in the past. He checked the outside of the house along the foundation also. Then he explained several ideas on keeping the house clear of all pest. Professional, courteous and knowledgeable associates! As owners of a new construction home, our priority is to proactively protect our home's structure from the prevalent eastern termites and keep the usual pests outside. Our realtor provided several vendor names and I called all three. Activ Pest Solutions may have been my 3rd call, but we signed an annual pest protection service agreement and are scheduling our preventative treatment for termites. Why? During my 1st call Cathy answered my questions and made an appointment with a technician who could perform both pest and termite inspections right after another scheduled appointment with a neighbor -- and have the time to apply the 1st pest treatment if we wanted. Our technician Erren was thorough and personable and his pest treatments knowledge/skills were impressive. He conducted both inspections, reviewed the details of the pest and termite service agreements and completed our 1st pest treatment. Their pricing is reasonable for the services they provide. We signed up for quarterly service, because as anyone knows who has owned a house for a few years, you cannot just spray for pests one time and expect the critters to never come back. (Yes, this comment is directly aimed at the one negative post here). The Technician, Christopher, who came out was thorough and professional. They are the best.I had a ant problem and they got rid of them like they said they would.I had another pest control business here for at lease 8-9 yrs (not mentioning any names) and they would come eveytime I called them , but did not get rid of ants.Very happen with Active will stay with them for ever. UPDATE: just read the feedback from Activ which states I shouldn't write a negative review of their service if I accept a one-time only treatment... so it all comes down to your assertion that had I signed up for your $400+ service, my bug/insect problem could be resolved, but for $200 you can't resolve it. Then why do you offer the $200 one-time only treatment if it doesn't work? Also, the larger bug issue that occurred after your technician "treated" our home was not present prior to your treatment... Thankfully, they have now left, but I'm very concerned as to how those insects got into this home in the first place! Unfortunately, the silver fish are back once again. My advice to anyone considering Activ is to NOT take a one-time only treatment because it is ineffective. If you can trust them, then maybe their maintenance program may be effective but, frankly, I won't be finding out since I'd never use this company again. UPDATE: just found silver fish in our home again... looks like the service didn't even get rid of those! So, what they did was to come into my home, spray something around the rooms, and charge us almost $200; they did a really poor job and they don't stand behind their work! Initially I thought the service seems to have eradicated the silver fish and tiny insect issue that I called about, but just a week later and now I have a different insect issue that I didn't have before Activ performed service. I called them about it and their reply was that they couldn't/wouldn't do anything about it - I believe it's related to the fact that I did not accept their quarterly service agreement and went with a 1 time only service. We still paid almost $200 and now have an additional issue. Won't be using their services again - do not recommend them. read more

I have had quarterly service for several years now. Activ got rid of my ant problems within 2 visits and came back when I requested. They are wonderful! I've never had another problem and will continue to use them as long as I own my home. They are professional, they come on time, are lovely to deal with, are courteous and get the job done.
