The support staff could have been more professional, in my opinion. The two girls at the Vision Exam desk seemed uninterested speaking with me (one of their names is Jocelyn), and both girls did not have any eye contact with me when they began talking to me (so I wasn't sure who they were talking to at first), and overall it felt like they didn't want to be there, unfortunately. The air puff test has always been uncomfortable for me (as it probably is for many people) and when I told her that as she was setting up the machine, Jocelyn responded to me that it's not even that bad. I felt a little ignored at the beginning, dismissed during the machine tests, and subtly disrespected during my entire interactions with those two female support staff. Dr. Le was fantastic. I felt that he was kind, patient, extremely thorough, and that he made great patient rapport. He's the only reason that I would return to this location, if at all, based off of my first impression here. Later in the day, I got a text notification that my next appointment had been scheduled. I never made a follow-up appointment at the checkout counter with Jocelyn, so that meant either the system schedules patients for appointments automatically, or one of their staff members manually scheduled me without asking me about my availability. My experience (aside from my interaction with Dr. Le) at this location has been a poor one. My intention was to buy both contacts and glasses this year, but I ended up not committing to anything at checkout because I wasn't entirely comfortable with purchasing through this location, based on this experience. I may take my prescriptions and try another Visionworks location or go to a separate company within my insurance altogether. Sue, the general manager took her time to full explain pricing and options so I chose everything correctly. I was so prepared to go to Costco to buy my supplies but she was able to save me 600-700 and I greatly appreciate her patience. She did not make me feel rushed or like I was wasting her time with asking my questions.. and there were a lot. Positives: they get you out of there fairly quickly, once you find someone who actually feels like selling glasses. Negatives: They took 2+ weeks. They got my wife's prescription wrong in her pair which took two more weeks (you'd think they'd expedite since they messed up??) Conclusion: probably won't return. You can't make this up. I got a pair of sunglasses with our insurance and bought new lenses for an old pair. I paid $207 cash for both pair (plus insurance payment made). My daughter picked up these 2 weeks ago and I wore them today and noticed a scratch. I come into the location. They can't replace the lens as it's a "deep scratch". I have to return the glasses and wait for my benefit to credit back and get a new pair. The kicker. They gave me half off my new lenses in my glasses. So, they also have to return the lenses. They are popping the new lenses out of my old glasses. Then will refund me $207 by mail in about 3 weeks. In 3 weeks, I can repurchase the glasses under my insurance and send my old glasses out for new lenses and hand them the same money back. They are spending more in labor cost right now than they would spend replacing the lens. Makes no sense. Purchasing the 10 pair of glasses for our family was easy. Getting a repair is not. read more

I like their eye wear selection but they must be very understaffed because it took a good 15-20 minutes to wait for someone to help me order some glasses. But when I did get help she was very nice and explained everything to me. I recommend for their eye wear choices and friendly staff, but make sure you're not in a hurry to be anywhere while you're there to shop and order glasses. read more

Waited 15 days for my glasses, I expected that. Their website said my order was delayed with no estimated time of arrival. You can't call them directly, it's all automated. So I went back in and my glasses were there, just to find out they were made wrong. Had to reschedule an exam for 4 days later and now they send me more messages saying they changed the time of my appt. themselves from 10:15 to 1:45. The retail staff know nothing. They don't even offer to adjust them to make sure they fit right. What a fiasco, will never go there again. And they are EXPENSIVE compared to other places. Do not go here! read more

Their safety measures were top notch, making each step as sterile as possible. The staff was great, kind, quick, and competent. My only complaint is this is a company owned by VSP, and all the exam/frames/etc prices were higher than other places, even after you take off the VSP insurance discount. I eventually returned my glasses (they have a nice return-for-any-reason return policy) and went to Costco for service and quality just as good. I loved my visit here. Doctor Chung was very polite and very professional in addressing my concerns. She helped me understand my vision issues, and helped me to feel better about any anxieties I may have had. My favorite part however was working with Eunique to get my frames picked out and to add the extras onto my lenses. I'm incredibly grateful to Eunique. She made me laugh a lot, and she too addressed concerns and she gave me the sweetest compliments about my appearance. She made this potato feel pretty and I'm happy about that. She even repaired my old glasses so I had something to wear until my new one's come in. Despite my struggle trying to locate this facility, I would definitely recommend this location to anyone and everyone who asks. : read more

I will start off by saying that I take a little bit of blame in this situation. I went in July for an Exam and purchased 2 pairs of glasses. They called me to say they were ready, the sunglasses I got for distance vision are fine. The regular pair I got has the wrong script in it. A script they came up with! They sent my glasses back 2 times to have them adjust the progressive part of them. I've been so busy with work that I kept forgetting to call. I finally was able to call only to find out that I needed to pay full price for a new exam and repurchase new glasses. Apparently, there is a 100-day window, for corrections. Had I been told this information upfront I would have made it a point to call sooner. The fact that I have to pay for everything all over again and don't credit for the 2 times they sent them back to get fixed is very frustrating. I can tell you that I will not go back. I will deal with my eyes at the state they are in for now. Next year when our benefits renew I will try again somewhere else. Not very impressed with any of the time I spent in the store. Love this place and the employees are always super kind and nice. Dr Palmieri is a true expert and takes his time to make sure the prescription is correct. Unfortunately, they are ridiculously understaffed. They're always behind 2 groups or more. I came in last week, nine groups of ppl were waiting. One of the staff apologized and a couple groups stomped out. I am always left waiting as I watch kind employees scurry around apologizing and speaking quickly to everyone. The place was clean and employees were friendly. The doctor didn't really seem like he wanted to be there at all and didn't discuss much about my eye health. I've had floaters for years and even checked that on my form but it was never discussed after my exam. And I forgot to bring it up. Also trying to find my order but they don't answer the phone here; just an automated service. The online order option says 'no order found' sooooo are my glasses lost? I tried the online chat and that is also an automated machine that kept asking me if I wanted to look at stores near a zip code I don't even live in. It is useless. Talk about absolutely HORRIBLE custom service from Unique, Eunique, however she spells her name... I called to get information on my boyfriends prescription. She started off talking fine, but when she couldn't find him, she became super rude and hostile. I explained that my friend helped me at this location and it was odd that he wasn't in the system. She responds with "Okay sooo? What do you want me to do about it" in the RUDEST tone. Totally shocked by the response, I said that I'd call back. She tells me take my issue up with corporate? I called back and could hear her complaining about how rude I was in the background to what i assume was other employees? I was so confused just looking for information. It's one thing to maybe have a bad day or get frustrated because you can't help? But to try to complain about me when i was nothing but nice? You should not being working in a field that involves customer service with such high school childish attitude. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Call for an update and after 25 mins on hold (called the local number) get transferred to the corporate call center that says its probably just better for me to go in person. I have used this location of Visionworks since it opened. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. I purchased 2 pairs of glasses in April - progressives. The regular ones were great and I didn't have any trouble with them but the sunglasses were a nightmare. They gladly remade them and everything seemed fine. However, after attempting to wear them for extended periods of time they would make me sick. Unfortunately I have had a lot of back to back trips and have been unable to get back to the store until today. I talked to Tim T. Tim was awesome to work with. He will be sending them back for a rework and changing them to single vision instead of progressives since I only really need them for driving. Way to go Visionworks! Had a very positive experience. My 93-year old father needed new glasses and we dropped in based on a recommendation from a local optometrist. The sales rep was patient and very helpful. We must have tried a couple of dozen frames before we settled on one. Did not apply heavy upsell pressure on optional services, but answered our questions honestly. Price was less than expected and glasses were ready sooner than promised. My Dad was very pleased with his new pair of glasses. We would go there again! read more

Horrible customer service . I had email and text confirmations and the following happened. I had made an appointment to get my annual eye exam. I received a confirmation call and 3 texts. The last text was that same day sent at 917am. The gentleman I first spoke to was super nice . He couldn't find my appointment and asked to see my confirmation. I showed him and he went to get assistance . A woman came back and said to the gentleman that my "text's wording is weird but not actually an appointment ". I showed her my texts and she looked at me and said sorry there is nothing I can do. I was upset , walked to the door and explained how very hard it was for me to get approved time off. I have other appointments stacked up on a vacation day to avoid using sick time. After she saw I was upset she offered to "fit me in" . AFTER. Kudos to the guy for being professional and sympathetic but as for that lady ...she seriously needs correction. I sent my 1st message March 3rd via messenger and every Friday since. Have been going to nationwide vision for years for my kids glasses. Always frustrated by the moody workers and the dirty dirty store. So when I had to get glasses I made an appointment at Visionworks. Oh man! I should have done this years ago! I walked into the store and was immediately welcomed with a smile and a kind hello. The place was immaculate. No dirty floor and no dirty chairs. I didn't have to wait for service and there were plenty of workers to help all the people who were waiting. I saw the optometrist and he was excellent and efficient. This will be my kids and my optometrist from now on. read more

My daughter had an appointment at the Signal Butte location yesterday and I can't say enough about this location and their service. Everyone at this location was very thorough and helpful. They went above and beyond make sure all of our questions were answered . We have been to other locationa and not once have we received this kind of service. The best part was that we didn't have to wait the normal 2 weeks to get out glasses. The manager was able to cut the glassss and we walked out with them within 15 minutes. We were thrilled! So I received my new glasses via mail last month just as the lockdown started. I had ordered prescription sunglasses and asked for the tint to be the same as the ones I ordered from them the year before. I had those glasses with me but they said they had it on file and didn't need them. The year before they had messed up My prescription and almost caused me to lose my pilots medical but I was able to get a next day pair of correct prescription from LensCrafters. Why I gave them another chance this year I don't know- so this is my own fault! So the glasses arrived with the tint way too pale( I need them for flying, it's pretty bright in the sky!). They of course were closed so haven't been able to go to them. They were open today when I drove past so tried to drop them off to get tint corrected so I can wear them. Girl at desk wouldn't talk to me- asked if I had an appointment. I tried to explain I just needed to drop off glasses for new tint but wouldn't listen to me unless I had an appointment! She said it was CDC guidelines that she couldn't talk to me without an appointment and when I come back they will take my temp first before talking to me. I get the Covid restrictions- but seriously where's the customer service!!! They messed up AGAIN and no apology, no one else was in there at the time, would have taken 30 seconds to listen to me and take the glasses to be repaired!! I'll never use Visionworks again once they fix their mistake. Should have gone back to LensCrafters!!!! read more

Poor customer service. Everyone seemed more focus on the conversations that they were having with one another than the actual clients themselves. No one asked me how my day was, greeted professionally and there's no structure to any of their processes. I literally had to ask someone if I had to fill out paperwork because the blonde girl behind the desk and the doctor were having a conversation amongst themselves. The eye exam itself was good, but afterwards, they didn't go over my prescription and what was covered by my insurance so I awkwardly just stood there. Then the lady that decided to help me got frustrated because apparently she was "off the clock", then she thought I was "in a hurry", but in reality, I just wanted some real help and good customer service. I recommend the superstition location, as they are professional, welcoming and follow a process in how they treat their customers. read more

This store has the worst communication ever. Ordered a pair of sunglasses told it would be 2 weeks when I contacted them I was told they could not be made with rx and style of frame. Ordered a 2nd pair was told it would be 1 week rush. Called on a Friday said it would be 2 more days, called on Tuesday and told 2 more days. On the following Monday called and they said they had to be redone because coating was bad. Picked up on that Thursday and the rx was wrong. No explanation no phone calls. read more

I have come to this location for the last 3 years and each time I have always had a great experience, until this last (and final) visit. I went in for my yearly exam for glasses and contacts. They gave me a new prescription and changed one of my contacts for astigmatism. I got my trial pair and went on my way. I had the worst migraines every single day that I wore these contacts and when I called to ask about it they told me that the prescription may not be a good fit and to come back in. Mind you both of my prescriptions in each eye had improved drastically according to my previous prescription that I was having blurred vision with. So I figured it was a simple mistake and they would redo my exam. Nope not at all went in, sat around for a bit then went back to the room. Sat around a bit more. Finally the dr comes in and says the astigmatism is causing the problems and that I don't actually need it so he's just going to write me a new prescription without it. Ummm ok so I guess at this point my eyes have drastically improved since the previous year? I got to the front and the woman gave me a trial pair but told me that they don't have my correct prescription in stock but she's going to give me these. My prescription was supposedly 1.75 and the pair she gave me were 1.50. At this point I desperately needed contacts so I ordered the correct prescription and went on my way. Now I have struggled with headaches every day that I wear these and when I wear my old glasses I'm perfectly fine. I can't see as well with these and clearly my prescription is wrong even after the second attempt. I've wasted money and now have to pay for another exam and contacts because my insurance money was already wasted at this place. Not sure what happened to all the old employees but this place seriously went down hill without them. Now it's a bunch of people who have no social skills or interest in doing their job. I still don't understand how my vision could go from 2.75 in one eye to 1.75? read more

This office is terrible. Starting right from the girl at the desk who is never friendly and is rude. I do have to say they have had a temp guy in there 2 of the many times I have had to go back and he is very nice. I started out as just wanting to get prescription contacts instead of glasses because my Walgreens readers worked fine. The 1st doctor I saw was also "filling in for a doctor that was out" and she was walking around the office almost yelling and slamming cabinets and saying "I can't find anything around here". I have seen 3 doctors now to get some contacts that I still don't have. She told me I can no longer wear walgreens and need a prescription and have to get glasses (which I got). I have never been able to see out of them. They did order my contacts and I went in for contacts-(they have to order them, which is understandable). I tried out first pair for a week and they didnt work, I couldn't see and they were blurry so I went back in and they gave me stronger ones-(which they did say this may happen that is why they order 2 sets to start). I wore them for a week and they were also blurry and couldn't see. Went back again today and saw 3rd doctor who said I don't even need a prescription in my left eye and I would have been fine with walgreens readers to begin with. Then told me I only need a contact in 1 eye and the other eye doesn't need a contact. When he put the "1" contact in, it was really blurry and made me slightly dizzy and his response was "well, contacts aren't going to work for you then"- WHAAAT? Anyway, I drove home all dizzy with my 1 contact in and got home and took it out immediately. I tried reading and looking at anything with the "left eye (that he said doesn't need a prescription) and I can see nothing with it. I can't even see my computer screen. What a joke this place is. I don't write bad reviews but I have to say Visionworks Superstition GATEWAy needs help and I wouldn't waste your time here. This is review worthy to warn others. I do have to say they do allow 90 days to return glasses which is nice, I missed returning mine by 2 days so now I'm stuck with $500 glasses I can't wear and still no contacts- I am going to go ahead and try the other VIsionworks by me due to the man there is so nice on the phone (Superstition SPRINGS) and I cant use my insurance again until 1st of the year. I wish I would have walked out the day of my 1st appointment when I saw a guy storm out of there mad. read more
