I went to Visionworks and had a great experience. I don't know about those other reviews but I went in for my exam with Dr. Zheng who was very patient with me and very knowledgable. He gave me my first ever glasses perscription and I was transferred to Jenna rose who suggested 2 different frames for me and went over all of my lens options and described what my insurance covered. With Jenna rose help I got 2 pairs of high end glasses for under $200. I am extremely pleased with my experience and I recommend Visionworks in burlington to anyone. read more

To make an appointment it took 3 weeks. And then when u come in. They can't find u. Even though all my family has been here before. The people here are just incompetent. The wait is stupid. If they do the hmk before u arrive ... things would be easier. read more

I wish I could give -5stars . Took them half an hour to find me in their system, that is after they made me wait for 45 minutes to acknowledge me. Then the optometrist was rude and in a hurry. That woman is either overworked or just don't care about patients. Then I had to leave as I run out of time. Came back another day to find out that they never saved my info so they made me wait for another 30 minutes to find my info again. And then to top it all. When I was finally getting my glasses the guy stops and serves somebody else. On my time. Just because the other person needed something quick. Forget about minus 5. . This place deserves minus 100 read more

Ended up not using them, but found the staff very helpful. Could not use them as they were out of network for my plan, but would have if otherwise. The lady at the reception helped run my numbers and gave me a full comparison with all information so I can make an informed decision. I liked that. Will try and return for business in the future hopefully. read more

If Zero Stars were an option, that would have been my choice. Left after a 25 minute wait. Not one person came over to let me know about delays. What made the wait even worse, was the idiot on his phone. Talking very loud as he walked around the store Although not the store's fault, they could have asked him to take the call outside. If you are looking to waste your time- then this is the place for you. read more

Very rude staff. Not much interested in customers. I have an insurance with Davis vision and took my Oakley frame to fit lenses. They just said they could not do it straight away. I will never come here again. read more

first time going here and the sales lady was a true KAREN. Absolutely nasty. Not to mention they have a poor selection of women's glasses. First of all she was WATCHING ME the whole time. Quite creepy. As I tried my glasses on I pulled my mask down briefly to see how they'd look and pulled it back up right away because I get it I do but she took that opportunity to scream at me (not nicely at all like just be nice about it) telling me I would have to go outside to try them on in this tiny little mirror that wasn't even outside. I would have to look through the window? Weird how I couldn't do that but I could touch everything and there was no sanitization protocol. Seriously? You can't pick and choose the rules you wanna follow with COVID. Not to mention I was the only one in the store NOT NEAR ANYONE ?? Sorry Karen but you've lost my business and from reading the other reviews youve lost everyone else's read more

Absolutely amazing service. Great staff and a great quick eye exam. I got a killer deal on contacts and sunglasses that rivals 1800 contacts and COSTCO where I previously got my contacts. Would definitely recommend! read more

Don't go here. Seriously. There is something wrong with the management. (This review refers only to the eyeglass selling side and not to the doctor side. The eye doctors may be competent but since I didn't use them, I just don't know.) This branch seems to have had turnover since I bought my glasses in June, and I had been hoping that new management would be better than old management. But when I received a completely unnecessary and large bill *8 months* after picking up my glasses (which were fully paid for in June), it took three phone calls and an hour of my time to straighten this out and get them to finally admit that I owed no money to them. Not once did anyone apologize for their own screw-up. Not once. How hard can it be to train people, including store managers, in basic customer service? They could have probably kept me as a customer just by saying, "We're so sorry for all the hassle this has been since June. We know it's been a bother and we will do better in the future." Instead, I hear, "Well, that person didn't do it right and she no longer works here." Unprofessional. Go anywhere else. read more

My appointment was at 11:30am this past Saturday and I arrived 10-15 minutes like they suggested to fill out some paperwork. I checked in around 11:15am and the front desk lady told me to take a seat. The phone rings, which she picks up and deals with a customer over the phone. After 10 minutes or so she hangs up the phone and picks up another line. This second call seemed casual like she was talking to a coworker. So now it's around 11:30am and I wait thinking maybe she was behind with something because I get it, I work in a doctor's office too. When I got to the store I was 1 out of 2 people there so the store was not busy at all. Then people started coming in and this lady started helping all these customers. At 11:50am, she walks over to her coworker and starts talking about the weather. So obviously she forgot about me. I come up to the front desk and one of the guys asks me if I need something. Told them both that I had an appointment at 11:30am and all she said was, "oh no one gave you paperwork?" I don't understand. I was 1 of 2 people there when I got there and I even had a casual conversation with her. Was I just sitting there to hang around? Obviously not! After I finish my paperwork, she was nowhere to be found and the doctor was actually at the front desk probably wondering where his 11:30am patient was......... Giving this place two stars because I actually liked the doctor that did the exam on me, but too bad he was only covering that location and not a permanent doctor there. I usually don't mind waiting, but if you ask me to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to my appointment and then make me wait for 30-35 minutes before even filling out my paperwork, we got to work on something here... read more

Far and away the best eyeglass-buying experience that I've ever had. This practice doesn't hire "sales associates" and everyone who helped me was a registered optician. They really cared about how the glasses looked on me and made sure I got the best deal on my glasses. Couldn't be happier with Visionworks. If you're in on a Sunday, be sure to see Patty! read more

I had a problem with an inaccurate presciption resulting in less than satisfactory glasses. Despite bringing the glasses back to Visionworks after the 30 day warranty period, they agreed to update the glasss to the proper prescription at no charge. I was treated very respectfully and will go back to this store due to their first rate customer service. read more

Personnel is unprofessional and rude. I brought a prescription from a Boston hospital wanted to purchase reading glasses, waited for close to two hrs, no one said a word of apology for the long wait, I finally left unable to purchase anything. All the receptionist said is "Ok bye". What a waste of time. They don't deserv a single star. read more

I bought a pair of glasses and frames in December of last year. Three months later, this place still can't figure out if my glasses are ready. I've stopped in and/or called every week and each time I am told they will call me on Monday. They never call and can never give me status. I've paid $100s of dollars and have no glasses. At this point, I have no choice but to go to a different store -- can't see!! read more

Easily the best experience my girlfriend and I have had with any optician. We went there after a couple awful experiences with other companies frustrated and looking for new glasses for my girlfriend. We were greeted instantly with a smiling face and an eager to help personality. We were unclear of what her insurance covered and prior to looking at any glasses they were more than willing to help us find the best possible price to utilize her benefits. The store clerk helping us found a great option and helped guide us to a good price point for her and find the right style which isn't truly that easy since we are a very indecisive couple. Then when we finally found the perfect pair the opticians were willing to make the glasses for us the same day even though it was a Sunday and they typically don't. They gave us a two hour time frame for them to be done and called us in ten minutes letting us know they were done. Customer service was amazing and they truly worked as a team to give us an amazing experience. read more

I have to start by saying that the Dr I saw, Dr. Hauser, was great. He was very professional and answered all my questions. That is where my good experience ended. I needed updated contacts and glasses. Two and a half hours later, I left with a promise of glasses in 10 days and a trial pair of contacts. The girl at the desk, Alex, might be the most untrained, unprofessional train wreck I have dealt with in a long time. She could not answer one single question without asking for help, did not know how to ring in a sale, schedule an appointment, swipe a credit card or "what this piece of paper" was. The paper was my glasses prescription. I was waiting for Ashton to come out because I was sure I was being punked. No employee could be this bumbling and clueless. Wrong. I had to wait 2 days for a call back to get another appointment to check my trial contacts and I now have to wait another 2 weeks for that visit. Overall, if you need glasses or contacts, go anywhere but here...especially if you have Blue Cross insurance because only one Dr there takes it and he is in only on Saturdays. read more

I am giving 2 stars for the Doctors only! They have been nothing but pleasant, professional and welcoming. But...My family has been coming here for a few years now and have purchased multiple pairs of glasses-each! Before Christmas my husband, 10 yr old son and I came in for exams and my son was the only one who didn't need a new prescription. He did however need a pair of sports glasses for basketball. We ordered his with all the bells and whistles which came to a few hundred dollars. When we priced out my husband and my own pair they were going to cost almost $1000.00 and that was with whatever deals she could give us. We decided to hold off at that moment on ours since as I mentioned it was Christmas. We told the woman at the front, who has been uninviting in the past but the doctors made up for it so it never got to me as it did this time, that we were going to wait. I wanted to look around but we'd more than likely be back after the holidays. She went from uninviting to downright rude. She stopped looking at us, talking to us in one word sentences and basically made us feel like we were robbing the place. Now keep in mind we still ordered my son's pair. We left that evening pissed but got over it since it wasn't worth the aggravation. Now, weeks later, we are waiting for my son's glasses so I called to check. The same girl answered the phone. I say girl because she's younger than I am and acts like a child but she is not. I asked about his glasses and when she looked them up she said "Ya they're here" I said can I just pick them up or do I have to bring him in with me? To which I'd like to say she responded with an informative answer but that did not happen since she had already hung up!!! Hence this review! I need to pick up his glasses but I don't want to even step foot back in there and after I do get them I promise you we will never be back! Customer service is so important, especially in a medical facility which this girl seems to forget they are. I would also like to point out that the bathrooms are through the break room and there is a sign congratulating them on their monthly sales. I'm assuming there is some sort of recognition for upselling but this should be rethought since it breeds responses like we received. Absolutely appalling! read more

My daughter went to Visionworks and had an awful experience. After getting her new prescription, she was assisted by Artie to choose new frames. However, she couldn't find any she liked so she decided to just replace the lens in her current frames. As soon as this decision was made, Artie became very unfriendly. He gave incorrect information about how our insurance works to try to convince her to get new frames. When corrected, he was extremely disrespectful, not explaining what he was doing about the features of her new lens. He silently typed information onto his computer without saying another word until he charged her $100 with no explanation. Simply asking if my daughter had a credit card. Artie was clearly taking advantage of the fact that my daughter was young and confused about her own insurance. This is not the first time we've had a bad experience here, specifically with Artie. We did talk to the manager over the phone the next day, who apologized for Artie not explaining what we were being charged for. But for his mistake, we're the ones out $100. read more
