A very rough experience. I walked in to order 2 pairs of glasses. Sat down with a rep and I explained I wanted thin lenses and anti glare. First, I had to take 2 separate trips there. They couldn't get them at the same time. The first pair I picked up, didn't look right to me, but thought I am going to be back and if they don't look/feel right, I would mention it. Especially if the second pair looked/felt the same. the second pair was just as bad. They offered to fix it but I would have to give up a pair, then send back out. Then go back with the next pair and then send to my house. Sounds like a lot or work knowing they could have done it right the first time. Not worth my time to hope its done right. Hope isnt a strategy. When i asked about the thickness of the lenses, I was told it was because of the style I got. He knew the style before I spend close to $1,000. He absolutely heard me say I wanted thin lenses. My question is why not tell me BEFORE i paid for them they wont be thin? Why wait until I came to get the final product? Makes no sense. Very disappointed in Pearle Vision Wilmington. I had an eye exam in April but my glasses benefit didn't kick-in until June, so they offered to hold my order until the date of my insurance benefit. Three people were in the store when they offered, I picked out the glasses, did the measurements, etc. when I called on July 1 to check the status of my glasses order, there was no record of it, the woman said they would never hold an order for that long and basically had no explanation for me. Why did they offer in the first place? Why didn't anyone call me to tell me they would not place my order? I'm going elsewhere now but wouldn't have expected them to fulfill my order in the first place if they hadn't offered. read more

I wrote this review because I have just had a really positive experience at Pearle Vision in Burlington, MA. It began with the usual casual browsing at frames. Kim approached, offered help, gave us space. My wife found a pair that we liked a lot. Then we talked turkey about options and price. Once again, Kim was full of info but not pushy. We decided. But, aha, my eyeglass prescription had expired. A few days later I had an appointment with Dr. Levine who clearly knew his stuff and had a great chair side manner. We talked about eye health and evaluated my old prescription. I left with a fresh one and a good feeling about my eyes. I presented the script to Kim, I declined some expensive lens options - just went basic. It is then that I complained about the look of an older pair of script sunglasses. I hated their look. She might have begun to sell me on new glasses (that wouldn't have worked :). Instead, she evaluated my concerns and suggested a tinting. Wow. For just $30, I had prescription sunglasses I love. Both pair were ready the same day. Don't expect that if you get the fancy coatings, etc. Upon pickup, Chris fine tuned the fit of the new glasses. He made sure I was happy with both pair. He was gracious and helpful. But here's the thing: I spent decades in retail management and merchandising. I taught it. If I had a class of young new executives right now, I would use my experience at Pearle Vision as an example of how to do it right. They made a sale - not by selling, but by applying expertise and helping. I'll be back and I will be sending friends. Thanks for the great service. And I love my glasses. read more

I have been coming here for 12 years. Dr Levine is the best! He is always so nice and caring. Always listens to your concerns. I have never had issues at the store either. I think it's hard as all insurance companies are different on what they cover. Hopefully at some point they will be required to cover all vision requirements. read more

I found Dr. Pham to be very personable, competent and concise. I have a very high amount of astigmatism and I really appreciated that she took the time to make sure I was centered in the machine, while trying to find my current prescription. I was really impressed that she was able to make sure that I felt comfortable with what I was purchasing, she allowed me to try the new prescription with these funny looking glasses, and had me walk around the store. With my past prescriptions I have been sensitive to small changes, so I wanted to make sure that this prescription was the right one for me. She was really patient with me! read more

awful wife and I scheduled an appointment at 4 and 4:30pm. by 4:30 neither of us was helped. when asked, they never were aware if the time. not even to start selecting frames cause we both knew that we would be getting at least a pair each. I guess since they do not pay rent nor marketing they care less if they have two customers less. even worse, they do not value the time of us hardworking parents, that have to schedule everything around a full time job, after school, traffic etc etc. please avoid this place and focus on those companies that value you as a person and as a customer. read more

Dr. Sullivan was very thorough and patient, and I left with better prescription than I've ever had in my life (sounds dramatic, but the absolute truth). I had the best experience here this past week as I was on the hunt for new eye glasses. I was greeted by Associate Kim. She is AWESOME!!! She was so patient, and didn't become annoyed or frustrated when I tried on almost every pair in the store. Her opinions were professional and very appropriate. And she didn't pressure me into buying anything that day. She suggested that I sleep on it and there was no pressure if I decided to not come back and shop there. Whenever I need new glasses or any service with the glasses I purchased this weekend, I will definitely be back to see her!! read more

Okay selection of glasses but don't be fooled by their sales. If you have eye insurance, you don't get any sales proce. I was given a promise date for my glasses - 2 days later still no call. When I called, I was told I would get a call the next day - still NO call. (They no longer make them in house.) Finally they did arrive but I had to call to find that out. Customer for 15 years (contacts and glasses), purchased 2 glasses last year for over $1000. One was defective, waited 2 months for fix, still defective. Said they would replace defective frames for another $300. Told if I wanted frames that worked, should have spent more and not bought Pearle products. Won't go again. read more

Do not go here. I was treated horribly today by the optometrist here, Dr. Kenneth Levine. I was 15 minutes late for my appt due to traffice. The previous week, I had to cancel my appt because of a migraine. He was so angry when I arrived today that he raised his voice, telling me he could not see me today that he is "double booked three weeks out." Then he proceeded to tell me that I should have come in the previous Sat., even with my migraine, because "HE" oh wonderful optometrist, might have been able to tell me if something else was going on. Like I haven't been to doctors for years for my migraine and I should come see him while I'm in horrible pain. Then he told me he was going to bill me for both appointments. He proceeded to do this loudly enough so all the folks trying on glasses could hear him. I am a working mother of two - I actually work at a hospital w/ health care professionals - and no one where I work would get away speaking so abrasively and disrespectfully to a patient or customer I'm completely appalled and want to warn anyone who might consider going here, don't. read more

Pearle Vision is the worst. I have been to this place twice - once when they had a location in Stoneham and once in Burlington. They have been completely rude both times. In Stoneham, I made an appointment for late afternoon on a Saturday when I got out of work. When I arrived, I was scolded the moment I stepped through the door for making such a late appointment... WHAT?!?! But that was years ago and that location is gone (wonder why). Recently, I made an appointment at the Burlington location. The doctor was great, as was his receptionist. I got right in to see him when I was scheduled to and he was very nice and helpful. Once the appointment was over I was told to give my prescription print-out to one of the PV associates. There were a few other people in the store at the time so I browsed while I waited... and waited... and waited. I was completely ignored. They kept looking over a me but never said a word - not "hi", not "I'll be right with you" - NOTHING. Then, when some very awkward man finally did help me, he couldn't for the life of him tell me what my insurance covers as far as frames go. Maybe I should have known this but it's my husband's insurance so I was unsure. Some woman chimed in an said my insurance should cover 40% of frames... this akward man searched and search and, when he couldn't find the information, just said "20% off" - again, WHAT?! I'll be taking my prescription and going to a family-owned optical store that has always been good to me. read more

I went here as a last resort in finding frames, I already had a current prescription. I was ignored the entire time I was there. I walked around the store looking at frames by myself, nobody asked if I needed help or anything. I had to go in search of someone when I was ready to buy. They have a 30 day guarantee and offer protective warrenty for the frames. 15 days later or so I noticed a scratch on my lense, so I brought it in and said I wanted it fixed, as if tell under my protection plan. The lady there immediately said "Well, what did you do?" I said "nothing... I put them on one day and noticed there was a scratch" she said "well take better care of them" I was like "they go from my face to a case... I don't know what happened, I didn't drop them, or have them rub against something, I don't know... they just cracked." but the lady was like ridiculously upset with me. I won't go here again for frames. I'm actually looking for a 2nd pair of glasses, plastic frames, but i'm staying the hell away from this place. read more
