Well Yelp did not fail me - one of the lovely ladiesn at Heller Eyecare fixed my glasses free of charge and did it quite quickly even though there were indeed broken! Needless to say I will not hesitate to strongly consider them when I am ordering my new glasses. The selection there seemed very large and the fact that they are open till 6pm sometimes is very helpful. Thank you again to whomever helped me, life is too short to go around with taped glasses!

I've been getting headaches from my contacts for years, and Dr. Deering seemed genuinely dedicated to fixing the problem. One of my favorite perks of this optometrist office is that they have the computerized machine that x-rays your eyes versus getting them dilated. Extra plus for me since I am allergic to preservatives in my eyes but always had to suck it up, prior to finding Dr. Segool. Both receptionists are great! Very helpful! Without asking, one of them looked up my name in random vision plans and discovered I have a very good vision plan that my husband, who carries the insurance, failed to tell me about. Saved us lots of money. I have also purchased glasses elsewhere in the past and took them to Dr. Segool who had the lenses put in for me. My very A-D-D son was taught how to wear contacts here. Based on some of the reviews on here, I was prepared to have a Clockwork Orange experience, but I totally lucked out by picking Dr. Segool. They asked if I needed a appointment for new contacts, and got me in as soon as I could schedule it - no blindness or bleeding eyeballs necessary! They did a full check-up for Rx, peripheral vision, glaucoma/cataracts, including this cool machine that takes a picture of your retina. Dr Segool took the time to explain the various images and patiently answered all of my questions. They have a lot of contact Rxs on-site (I needed to order mine, but they got to my house in under a week) and they told me about a rebate program for $100 off if I ordered a year's worth. They also have a good-looking selection of fashion frames, if you were looking for glasses. Overall, excellent service form the office staff, really professional and friendly service from the doctor and they take VSP. Dr. Segool is my optometrist from now on.

After speaking with three different representatives who insisted the lenses matched my prescription and that I simply needed to "adjust," I nearly gave up and tossed them. Then I met Lexie. She encouraged me to bring the glasses in. Within five minutes, she discovered the frame was slightly curved--and just like that, she fixed the issue. So I gave her some slack, and with her personality, I couldn't even be upset! A very rough experience. I walked in to order 2 pairs of glasses. Sat down with a rep and I…read moreexplained I wanted thin lenses and anti glare. First, I had to take 2 separate trips there. They couldn't get them at the same time. The first pair I picked up, didn't look right to me, but thought I am going to be back and if they don't look/feel right, I would mention it. Especially if the second pair looked/felt the same. the second pair was just as bad. They offered to fix it but I would have to give up a pair, then send back out. Then go back with the next pair and then send to my house. Sounds like a lot or work knowing they could have done it right the first time. Not worth my time to hope its done right. Hope isnt a strategy. When i asked about the thickness of the lenses, I was told it was because of the style I got. He knew the style before I spend close to $1,000. He absolutely heard me say I wanted thin lenses. My question is why not tell me BEFORE i paid for them they wont be thin? Why wait until I came to get the final product? Makes no sense.
