She has proven herself to be a more thorough and caring provider than the specialist! The staff at AVC is super nice and one of the women who works in the reception area (forgot her name) is especially knowledgable about insurance -- a rare find these days! The waiting area is small and comfy, with complimentary coffee, TV, and magazines. There is never a very long wait. I do not feel overly pressured with sales pitches to purchase glasses or lenses here, which is refreshing. That said, I did purchase glasses for my child, who is very picky and actually found a pair to their liking. On top of all that, this facility has state-of-the art machinery for testing your eyes. Less than a year after my purchase what looked like a grain of sand became embedded in a lens. Also I noticed the red paint was starting to chip from the metal frame. I came in and immediately the person at the counter said something like sorry, we no longer carry that brand. Not understanding why that should be my problem, I asked to speak to the manager. He was pretty rude & said there was nothing that could be done about the paint and then acted like he would do me a big favor - rather than standing by his product - by replacing the lens, while trying to make me feel like this was my fault. He expalained that he had the same brand glasses and multiple children who were regularly grabbing them off his face, yet he never had a problem with these glasses. That's a great story, but I'll never return here!

First off, on Shelles The Eye Place website, I really liked what she had to say about herself, her background, and how she runs her business. As a person that has spent many years in sales, I believe in transparency and not being pushy with the customer. Shellee has those same values. Transparently speaking I just went in there to see if she had any ideas on how I could maybe fix them. She's quite lovely in person. She knows what she's talking about and treats you like your family. I felt like I had known her for years, the way that we talked. When I finally pulled out my glasses to show her what had happened, she didn't even miss a beat. She found a similar frame and popped out the lenses on my broken pair of glasses and put them in the new frames. The new frames are at a great price point. She made little adjustments on the glasses to ensure they fit my face properly. The transaction was smooth and seamless. I love my new glasses. Shellee has a wonderful selection of glasses to fit any face and designs to fit anyone's unique style. You can tell by the way Shellee interacts with you that she loves what she does and she ensures that her customers leave with a smile on their face and the perfect eyeglass frames. Here today! I…read morealready had my prescription so being in a city long enough to get my eyeglass prescription filled and finding the right frames was my challenge. I was running out of time because the coating on my glasses was fading in a rapid pace and blurring my vision, so I NEED glasses quick, fast and in a hurry. I queried my trusty Yelp app and ask God if Burlington Eye Optical was my go to place and YEP it was! I go in and the place was very busy and immediately I noticed many old money seasoned seniors waiting for their appointments, asking questions, completing transactions and looking around. I met Sue and so my excitement began with Burlington Eye Optical! The first thing I noticed about Sue was her tone of voice, her passion for offering outstanding customer service and passion to make customers smile upon completion their business. I presented my prescription, she put my information into the system and now for the hard part WHICH FRAMES FITS MY FACE AND PERSONALITY. We was just like the 3 bears, "Nope not those", "Um, not the right shape", "Naaa", "Do they come in any other color?", "I need more options". We found 4 contenders, so here I was walking around getting other customers options, looking at myself in different mirrors and angles, I would walk away, look at myself again. It's not easy y'all to find frames for my personality, face and versatility:)) for real though. So we found the right shape and frames but looked online for the brand other color options, Sue ordered each of the color for me. The frames arrived faster than expected and this is how I met Christina upon my return. There I go again, walking around checking myself out in different mirrors, different angles and soliciting options from other customers; males and females. Once I made my decision, Christina informed me that they was running a special which included $99 for a second prescription which I used to put in my current Versace frames. Anxiously and impatiently, I waited the complete 10 business days for them to arrive. Hold up, there's more to the story. After my glasses returned, due to the fact that my eyes were distorted by my diminished previous glasses my eyeballs had to get adjusted to the new helpers, that can be a battle that I had to endure and go with the flow on. That process is just like any other healing process, it can't be rushed. My second set pair returned, my eyes was still tripping because now I was working nights and they had to get use to seeing at night with the new prescription which was slightly stronger and newer technology involving the lens production. Not only did I have to wait that out but I had to find time in my busy work schedule to drive back across town in Massachusetts hectic traffic congestion. Have you ever driven here? What about when one of their two tunnels was closed. Did I mention, Massachusetts motorists are termed "Mass-assh#€*%? I didn't make that word up, the people here unanimously said it. I wasss miserable, I returned and Christina fully understood what was happening with my vision. She, adjusted the arms of my glasses, readjusted them on my face, they needed realignment on my face and WALAH - I COULD SEE CLEARLY NOW!
