Philly cheesesteak eggrolls and fried salmon bites
Cindi W.

Came for happy hour and music bingo. Had to get there early because it gets super packed!! Happy hour goes until 9pm which is great. I got the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls and my friend got the fried salmon bites. We ordered cocktails. The waitress brought my friend the wrong drink, but they remade it with no issue. Later my friend ordered a sprite and the waitress brought her a coke, my friend didn't bother to wait for the waitress to come back to correct the order. Overall nice chill spot with good food. Service can be a hit or miss especially when it gets packed.

Crab cake dinner with two sides mac and cheese/ broccoli

This was my first time at the venue. i definitely would try it again. The venue is very stylish with nice ambiance and good music. The food was good and the crab cake was lumped with no filler. The only problem i had with the establishment was the customer service. The waitress was nice however needed more training. It took 10 minutes for someone to come to our table to take our order. Waitress never came back to check or refill drinks before our actually entree came instead they were line dancing and talking.

Fish and grits! Yum
Rannie S.

Went here after church right when they opened at 11am. Ambiance was great! Played great music. Food was amazing! Presentation was pretty. Large portions. Had the oxtail and grits and my husband had fish and grits. The oxtail meat fell off the bones and it was flavored well! Definitely recommend and worth the $22 price. Would have given 5 stars but took one star off because of service. Waiter sat at a table and we had to get her attention twice to get some service. Overall experience was good! Will probably return again for the oxtail.

So, I was hopeful that the WXYZ lounge and bar in Chesapeake would be similar and provide a great atmosphere to get together for a fun, chill hangout with our friends. We were not disappointed. There was ample seating and a large table where we were able to share a meal and play board games. The lounge has games in the lobby area, which we weren't expecting, but was nice to see. We had brought our own games. My friend ordered a mocktail and enjoyed it. The four of us ordered chicken buffalo dip and fish and chips to share. I couldn't eat the chicken buffalo dip because I have a dairy allergy, but everyone said it was good. I did really enjoy the fish and chips. The fries were hot, thick, and well seasoned. The cod was very tasty as well, the skin was perfectly crispy but the meat was tender inside. While we didn't take pictures of the menu this time, I took a look at the menu online and there are some options listed on the website that were not printed on the physical menus we saw, but for what was the same the prices matched. The fish and chips isn't on the website but was on the physical menu and was affordable (two pieces or cod and ample fries). Our server (also the bartender) was nice and provided good service. The hours that they're open make it a great hangout spot for Friday nights and weekends. The restrooms are clean. The noise level was moderate and fine. We definitely recommend for hanging out with friends and will be coming back in the future.

I ordered the Texas Burger with fries and my wife ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger. Both orders were delivered with efficient speed and both the fries and the burgers were piping hot upon arrival! It's in the same group of buildings such as Michael's (around the corner). My visit here was on October 27, 2025. The outside view of the business is simple, but effective. They have a specials chalkboard next to the entrance. Parking wasn't an issue on this visit, but I'm sure it can fill up at busier times. My mom and I were both in the area as she wanted to go to the Michael's store here. When we came inside, it wasn't busy, as it was around 3:30 pm when we got here. We were greeted by the one who would be our server for this visit. He gave us menus to look at and asked us for our drink orders. I generally stick with water with lemon, which I did here. We were there during the time where it was still the lunch menu (though for us, it was more like dinner for us that day). When he came back with the drinks, he asked if we were ready to order, but we weren't just yet. He also asked if we had any questions about the menu and options and gave us more time to mull over the menu. When he came back, we weren't completely ready, but asked a question about the specials of the day. After that, we knew what we would get and placed our food order. My mom ordered the Meatloaf Lunch Special with mashed potatoes and spinach. I went with the Meatball Sub Lunch Special with mashed potatoes, though I don't normally do potatoes that often. After about ten minutes or so, the food came to the table. The food looked really good, and it was hot too. The bread for the Meatball Sub was very soft and easy to eat. The meatballs were huge and made for a worthy meal. The mashed potatoes with gravy was really good and fulfilling too. My mom loved the meatloaf, and their meatloaf doesn't have ketchup on it like some other places do. She loved the meatloaf, spinach, and mashed potatoes too. After we were done, he asked if we wanted any desserts. We both declined as I normally don't do them anymore. Overall, we both had an excellent experience here. The food and service were on point. The food I had that day did spike my blood sugars, but I expected that with bread and mashed potatoes. I don't make a habit of that though. They are a great local business. There are lots of food options to choose from. If you are looking for a place to eat while in this part of Chesapeake, this place is worth coming to.

We started the night with drinks: I went for a cold Modelo, while my friends both ordered margaritas, and wouldn't stop raving about how good they were! For appetizers, we shared the Union Trio! Fire roasted tomato salsa, creamy guacamole, and queso served with crisp tortilla chips. All three were fresh and delicious, a great way to kick off the meal. For my main, I mixed things up with a taco trio! Carne Asada (marinated steak, onion, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro), Chicken Tinga (marinated chicken, refried black beans, avocado, greens, queso fresco, cilantro) and Blackened Mahi (mezcal pickled onion, red cabbage, red pepper pico, chipotle sauce, cilantro). The blackened mahi was my hands down favorite. It was super flavorful with just the right amount of heat. My friends tried some awesome dishes too! One had the Coconut Curry Mahi (blackened mahi, jasmine rice, edamame succotash, with a rich coconut curry cream sauce) and the other had the Duck Confit Taco (with cherry salsa, pickled carrot salad, and cilantro-lime creme). Our waitress was phenomenal and definitely suggested great choices. If you're in the area and craving something a little more elevated than your average Mexican spot, Union is absolutely worth checking out. Great food, tasty drinks, and a stylish atmosphere!

My daughter ordered 1 lb of crawfish (with the cajun sauce) with potato and corn. It was quickly demolished so I'd say it was a winner! She also got a side of sweet potato fries that went with her back to school :D I enjoyed snow crab legs (with the garlic butter) which also came with a potato and corn and it also was very good. My husband ordered the catfish and enjoyed it. His only feedback was that he wished it came with clarified butter, we had some home but I agree, it should have been included with his hush puppies. Overall it was pretty good. When she wants crawfish again, we will likely come back but I do feel that there are better local places around that I could get more for our money at.

Pretty dull atmosphere and the service was surprisingly slow. Took a min for our orders to be taken after we were seated. Barely even seen any workers on the floor either. Server wasn't very attentive and also forgot some of our items we had asked for, multiple times, so it took multiple attempts to try and get their attention and get what we needed. Pretty disappointing service, especially with the restaurant being empty. To drink, I got a Margarita (10/10) it was strong and had good flavor. To eat, I decided to try T2 (8/10) it came with corn, potatoes, a lobster tail, shrimp, mussels, and sausage. I enjoyed the flavor and everything was cooked well, there was just little to no sauce in the bag though. I like to have a good, decent amount of sauce to dip my seafood in while eating, but there wasn't much even in the bag. With the service being slow already, I didn't want to sit and have a long wait for extra sauce, so I didn't ask for any extra. My overall rate of experience : 6/10

Since they…read moreare seldom open on Sundays, this felt less like a routine dining experience and more like a special occasion event designed to be appreciated and remembered. Opportunities like this are best taken full advantage of, and Chef Anthony Caruana delivered an experience worthy of the occasion. Chef Caruana's Prix Fixe menu, offered at $75 per person, managed to accomplish something far more difficult than it appears: creating a menu broad enough to appeal to nearly everyone while still maintaining a cohesive culinary identity and the elevated standard for which Luce Secondo has become known. We chose to sit at the bar -- our usual perch -- because we genuinely enjoy the interaction and camaraderie that comes with dining there. I would be remiss if I did not give a well-deserved shout out to the outstanding mixologists Britt and Patrick, who were holding court behind the bar throughout the evening. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail elevated the experience beyond simply having a wonderful meal. They made the evening feel special, and we sincerely appreciated the hospitality they extended to everyone seated around them. To accompany the meal, I ordered the Sgroppino cocktail consisting of lemon sorbet, Italicus liqueur, basil oil and bubbles. Light, refreshing and aesthetically elegant, it served as a perfect palate cleanser between courses. The brightness of the lemon paired beautifully with the herbal complexity of the Italicus while the basil oil added an unexpected layer of sophistication that elevated the drink beyond a traditional sparkling cocktail. Wonderfully balanced and exceptionally well executed. We began with the Curly Romaine Caesar featuring crispy prosciutto, garlic croutons, shaved Parmigiano Reggiano, cracked black pepper, and fresh romaine tossed in a house-made dressing. The balance here was exceptional. Nothing overwhelmed the dish. The saltiness of the prosciutto, the sharpness of the cheese, and the brightness of the dressing all worked together beautifully. Every ingredient tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, setting the tone for the remainder of the meal. My wife selected the Capellini alla Marinara con Gamberi, consisting of sautéed shrimp, fresh tomato marinara, basil, lemon zest, and Mancini capellini pasta. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, maintaining that delicate, slightly firm texture that good shrimp should have, and the decision to leave the tails on added both presentation value and additional flavor during cooking. The brightness from the basil and lemon zest elevated the marinara nicely without masking the freshness of the seafood. She thoroughly enjoyed the dish. I opted for the Salmone di Primavera: pan-seared Scottish salmon served with spinach, tomato, and lemon goat cheese orzo. The salmon itself was expertly prepared to a beautiful medium rare and somehow arrived at the table piping hot in that almost magical "how do they do that?" restaurant fashion. The lemon goat cheese component brought a creamy richness balanced by acidity that complemented the salmon exceptionally well. Combined with the savory depth of the dish overall, it created an umami-forward flavor profile not often achieved this successfully in seafood preparations. It was refined, comforting, and deeply satisfying all at once. Dessert continued the evening on a high note. My wife selected the Pistachio Cheesecake accompanied by seasonal berries and fresh house-made whipped cream. The richness of the cheesecake paired wonderfully with the freshness of the fruit, creating a dessert that felt indulgent without becoming overly heavy. I chose the Key Lime Panna Cotta topped with a delicate toasted sugar confection that added both visual elegance and textural contrast. The interplay between the creamy panna cotta and the crisp sugar topping was outstanding. The tartness of the key lime kept the dessert bright and balanced while the confection added just enough crunch to make each bite interesting. It was inventive, beautifully plated, and wonderfully executed. For those fortunate enough to secure reservations for this special Mother's Day event, the reward was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. And if you brought your mother or wife with you today, you probably earned yourself hero status for at least the remainder of the evening.

While feeling a bit try hard, there's no denying it's gorgeous inside and a great overall vibe and location. The not great: the waiter introduced himself as being the best, which was fine until the entire service seemed to be more about him than us. During a 2 hour service (which was much too long) he let us sit waiting for food without a visit and a chat about the hour wait after ordering. When runners brought our app and main course, they were basically disinterested in any level of service commensurate with the vibe and expectation. While not rude, there's was a lack of....pleasant caring. They couldn't be bothered. For a scratch kitchen, the food was underwhelming. The pasta was overcooked, the sauce for the buffalo based sauce on their signature dish lacked depth of flavor, and the meat topper was dry after it was clearly shoved into the broiler to brown. Both dishes sauces were too tight. I will say the pricing was very good! I did expect to pay more for the experience walking in. But after the mediocre food, that was at least a soft landing. Won't be back.
