Recently got two slices of pizza from VI Pizza. We tried the buffalo chicken and a crispy chicken and ranch one. Both were really good and had a lot of meat on it which I love. We also got an order of garlic knots. I do wish that the garlic knots were more garlicky. I also got a coconut Italian ice and that was so refreshing! The service was quick and what you expect from a pizza place in New York. Definitely will be coming back to try the classic cheese slice and pepperoni slice. read more

Around since 1959 and this review is written in 2019. Wow! 60 years in the business of making pizza is no small achievement. As simple as the ingredients of dough, sauce and cheese, VIP is able to transform these items into something special, no wonder they have been around so long, because it's that good, one bite and you'll know why. I think part of their success is attributed to the staff. Great service goes a long way in retaining your customers and treating them like VIP's does just that, everyone working here has a positive and friendly disposition, throw in some Awesome tasting pizza into that mix and I'll be back! The neapolitan and sicilian slices are a thing of beauty, the ratio of cheese and sauce is perfect, it don't get any better. The sauce is sweet and the cheese gooey delicious and each bite and crunch a triumph! VIP does not deliver so call in to order to save some time. They don't have a private parking lot but street and meter parking is available. I now call VIP = Very Important Pizza, Why? Because it's very important for me to have it! read more

Nothing quite like a regular cheese slice. Best enjoyed right away. (no surprise). The crust was crunchy, cheese was a hot gooey mess and its got just the right amount of sauce. yum! I also got the garlic knots but those were unfortunately kept in the oven for too long and it was a bit hard. The grandma slice and sicilian slices were both stellar as well. overall a great neighborhood pizza shop but beware, they don't deliver! read more

If you are in Bayside looking for pizza you shouldn't look any further, the service is impeccable, and the slices are just perfect everytime. I've been here about 10 times now and everything I've tried from the Margarita, Marinara, the Upside Down, and of course, the Regular. Amazing regular slice. They've been around for decades and they have always been consistent. I'm not one to order specialty slices too often so I can't really speak on those, but the regular slice is just so well-balanced - sauce, cheese, dough. You get a nice crunch from the crust but the rest of the slice is so soft. It also isn't overly oily. Nice people behind the counter as well. 10/10 recommend this spot. read more

I read an article on Buzzfeed on pizzerias that are "slept on" in Queens. I saw 2 places and wanted to try them out. This place was one of them. I happened to pass by here and remembered the article to try the sicilian slice. I've actually ordered a pie from here when I was getting tatted not too far away...and wasn't impressed. From that, I never ordered from there again. I usually give places more than one chance, especially since the first experience wasn't good or memorable...but I came upon the Buzzfeed article, it suggested to try the sicilian slice I must tell you...it is one of the best sicilians I've had in so long.
