I love this place! They have liners on their pedicure tubs and are very clean. All of them do an amazing job.

I actually got my first pedicure at VIP nails nearly a month ago but waited til now to review because I was curious to see how well the polish lasted. And wow- so impressed. The color looks great (I got dark purple so I feel like the says something extra since dark colors show chips faster) but back to the actual experience at the salon.... amazing!! This has been my go to nail salon for my mom and I for many years. I've only been to one other nail salon and I hated it. It's under new management now and they have a larger selection of polishes. Most of the nail technicians are nice most of the time but there's some who always have an angry face but they still do nails really nicely. Whenever I'm done with my nails I always manage to mess them up and the techs are usually happy to fix it. I'll be back there soon to get my nails done again read more

This place is AMAZING. I went there during my lunch break today in the pouring rain. The ladies are super sweet and give you snacks and soda during your manicure. The manicure lasts over a week. Usually my manicure chips within days but they do SUCH a great job. I mentioned it was pouring rain. The manicurist that did my nails literally walked with me outside holding an umbrella since I forgot mine, she was SO sweet. First off, I may not be a very good critic for pedicures seeing how this was my first experience. What I can say is that the staff was friendly, it was one of the cheaper options in the area and they had a lot of colors to choose from. They start off by offering you a beverage (soda or water) and candy, then they proceed to clean your feet and massage them all while you are sitting in a massage chair that you can adjust (~20 min). Finally they finish with the color you chose. As a parting gift you can choose form bath and body works lotion, shower gel or hand soap. read more

This was a great find for me while vacationing.... Chanced upon it through Yelp. They did such a great job with mani/pedi... much better than my regular salon. You do need to call for an appointment. The only reason why I am giving them 4 stars is because I think the place needs to be updated and they need to expand their color selection. They only have OPI available. Not that it's a bad but, I wish they had Essie too.... Worth the money, worth the Yelp review.... Will be back if I happen to be in the neighborhood again, that's for sure!! read more

I love getting my nails done here. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the services. I've actually never had a bad experience here, except for once and that's because I messed up my own shellac polish and she had to re-do it, which made the nail polish on one hand appear much less shiny than the other. They offer complimentary refreshments and chocolate when they first seat you and at the end a complimentary gift, depending on how much you've spent. The reason I love this place so much though is because they do my nails just the way I like them and I've never had a bad experience. I also like that they are so patient with helping me find a matching color to the toe polish I choose when choosing shellac colors and they are always on point. I've been to many other nail salons in this area, and they are far more expensive and the work is not as great. read more

VIP is my #1 nail place. My gel manicure lasts soooo long - my nails grows an extra 1/4 inch from the cuticle - without the nail polish chipping! Pedicures are fabulous...the massage chairs are a treat. Even eye bow waxing - is wonderful. My eyes never look so good... I decided to try this place after trying every other nail salon in Herndon. The prices are decent and the service is great. I got a mani/pedi and wax. I decided to go with the Shellac and my technician did a phenomenal job. She was meticulous and a perfectionist which was such a relief and my nails came out beautifully (its been three weeks and my nails are still in perfect condition). She massaged me a lot longer than I had anticipated which was a nice little treat. They offer snacks and beverages which again is a nice gesture. My boss and I were looking for a nail place we could run to on our lunch break and this was close enough to our work and had pretty good reviews. We called first and were told we did not need an appointment. We walked in and were helped right away. I loved the comfy massage chairs and my tech (Keely?) did an awesome job, she was extremely thorough and even stopped halfway through my pedicure because she noticed a spot on my nails that she wanted to touch up. We were offered drinks and candy while we relaxed and had our legs and feet massaged. I've never had such a great experience at a nail place, usually I do my own nails because I've never had a very good experience at a nail salon. Found this great salon on yelp. After its great reviews i had to check it out myself. It was only 5 miles from my home so it's very convenient. Called at 1030am and made an appt for 1230pm for the same day (thursday). Got to the shop a little early and it was packed! Everyone was taken and since i made an appt i was next in line. Sat down and was offered water, soda, or candy! I came for a gel manicure and they had a lot to select from. Nina was thorough and she did very well. The color was perfect! Next was a pedi and I sat down on their massage chairs. Massage chair was great too!! I told Nina a regular pedi was fine. I still got a massage! Pedi looked great! I was in and out in 90min (gel manicure/regular pedi). read more

Very much love this place. I go here on the regular (at least every 3 weeks) to get a "fill" on my acryllic nails. They are less expensive than where I used to go ( $20 vs. $18. That's only $2 but worth it) and the ladies here don't talk your ear off while getting your nails done. Linda is the BEST at acryllic fills. ALL the ladies are very nice. The pedicure chairs are big and very comfortable, and as another post mentioned - they offer you a drink and snack each time you come in. I've been coming to this nail salon for 6 years and am sad to have to find a new nail place, as this was so convenient to my house! While the service is fine/good, they have had the SAME nail polishes for 6 years. All the old OPI colors. They literally have the same polishes, as they have thinned them so far down with acetone that my toes are chipping after just a week! C'mon, owners! Please stop offering cheap "gifts" and instead purchase some fresh, new polishes. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with my manicure. This was my first time coming. The staff was kind and very helpful. My only complaint is that my mother and I made an appointment for both of us at 3:30 but my mom was the only one they had a chair for at 3:30. My manicure did not start for another 45 minutes. When they were finally ready the person who was supposed to do my manicure had left. When someone else finally came to do my nails they did a fantastic job, I just wish it had not taken as long for them to get started. Overall though the service was great and I love the manicure. I probably will not return though since it was such a long and drawn out process. And Today I just realized that I had an infection from that place!!!! The nails were pretty but I am never going to that place again!! So not worth it read more

VIP Nails is definitely a customer-focused salon. They provide you with exceptional service from the moment you walk in the door. I've been greeted every time I've walked in the door and asked which services I'd like. While waiting (usually a very short period, even on Fridays or Saturdays when they are SLAMMED with customers) I've been offered a free beverage and an assortment of candies. There are magazines and a large flat-screen TV to help pass the time away. I'm pedicure lover and VIP Nail technicians do a darn good job! They're sweet ladies that know what they're doing. They like to chat, but also won't pressure you into constant conversation if you'd rather not. I'm more interested in turning on the massage chair and mentally checking out for 30 minutes -- and they're cool with that! After scrubbing, clipping, filing and all the normal pedicure-like jazz, the nail techs use lotion to massage your legs and feet. This is totally my favorite part! 15 minutes of bliss! Best of all -- this is a part of their Regular Pedicure. No need to upgrade or pay more. Afterwards they do an exceptional job painting your nails, including base and top coats. This keeps the polish lasting longer. While you're at the drying station you get to pick from an array of free goodies to take home (one per person with most services). The goodies vary with each visit, but it's usually a combination of: movies, handsoap, body washes, shampoos, conditioners, or hair treatments. *Tip: Bring CASH! After hearing such great things, I decided to go to VIP nails. I got a full set and it was not what I was expecting. It was bulky and the tips weren't even correctly matched to my nails. I was also charged $5 extra dollars for a simple rounded square shape. My nails were uneven and I left the salon looking like I needed a fill already because my nail technician rushed through. Was afraid of what I might get into at an unknown salon, but yelp reviews were positive. I had Linda who did an amazing pink and white fill + a pedicure. Everyone was very friendly - not always the case- and professional. (No one was talking to friends or family on their cell phone,) I was offered soda or water. I just moved to the area and was due for a pedicure. I made an appointment for a Saturday afternoon (the earliest they could schedule) to get a mani/pedi which was great in theory because I didn't have to wait long. That said, it was so packed with wall-to-wall people that it was a very uncomfortable environment. I was taken to a chair and one of the workers ran water for my pedicure. It was very cold and I could not get anyone to add hot water (even the other nail techs working at the chairs to each side of me) while I waited about 20 mins for anyone to get to me. Finally when my turn came, my pedicurist said "oh that's cold, you should have said something." Ah well, I tried. At least she warmed it up then. The pedicure was very well done and I was happy with the results. Here's hoping it wears well. I was then moved over for my manicure. The manicure itself was really great with respect to cutting/filing/clipping. The painting of the nails leaves a lot to be desired. I'd rate it as generally below average. It's been just a day and I'm already contemplating removing the paint and repainting them myself. All of the ladies here were very, very nice, but I'm a bit on the fence about going back. read more

RUDE! I called to make a nail appointment for 3 people. They told me the times they had available. I said I would check with my friend and call right back. According to my phone records I called 2 minutes later and asked to make an appoint for 3 people at 11 or 1130. I also mentioned that one was a child. She thought i said 2 children When the pedicures were for children she suddenly didn't have ANY availability. I said I called 2 minutes ago and she had room for 3 people at 11 or 1130. She was no longer friendly and accommodating. She was unapologetic about being unhelpful. She did say that they do children's nails but they no longer had space. I was extremely disappointed in the customer service and communication. :( read more
