The pizza tastes fresh, nothing outstandingly awesome but good enough. It was really crowded during lunch time, which may have been why they messed up our order. I think some of them don't know the difference between the village pizza and the baker's choice. So if you order the village one you're most likely going to end up with the baker's choice pizza. So take that into consideration when ordering. They did fixed it, which I appreciate, so good customer service. I may come back to try their soups, sandwiches or desserts. read more

Walked in hungry, left disappointed. I've heard great things about Village Baker, mostly the one on Redwood. This one is a lot more fancy looking inside, but the food was disappointing, especially for the price. They were unwilling to warm up a sandwich, and when I ordered a roast beef sandwich because I wanted a hot sandwich, it was totally cold. Not warm in the slightest. They were out of sourdough at 4:30 on a Tuesday, but don't bother with the french bread roll for your sandwich. Your sandwich is essentially made out of two thin heels, which feels unsatisfactory when you're paying $8 for a sandwich alone. read more

I have pre-ordered rolls at the Sandy location for a special occasion four times. Now when you order rolls for an important event or a party of some sort, you need food catered or prepared on time and as ordered! I have placed these four orders over a period of 5 months and out of the four, they have failed me three times. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! When I went to pick them up there were NO rolls. After that, when I called to order I asked for a manager and emphasized that I had had numerous problems with there being a problem with my orders and asked them to please make sure that it was done correctly and on time... It definitely puts me in a bind when our event is to take place in 2 hrs., leaving me little time to figure out a solution to the problem. I can (maybe) understand this happening once???, but three times??? I am beyond giving them chance after chance. I'm done ordering from VB and will order from a more reliable bakery. I love this place. So glad they have opened a second location in Sandy. Much more convenient for me. I ALWAYS get the same thing, so I can only comment on their chef salad. The lettuce is always crisp and the salad is loaded with yummy slices of ham and cheese, egg. The dressing is homemade. You are served a small roll which is delicious! read more

I went there for the first time, food was good and the girl at the counter was amazing. The only reason I am giving it a 4 is the food didn't come out at the same time. The person in our party who ordered the pizza didn't get her food until 15 minutes later and the rest of us had finished. We had to share with her so she could eat with us. I'm a huge fan of Village Baker. I'd say that they have some of the best bread in town which make the sandwiches so good. Also, the desserts are top notch. I wasn't a fan of rice crispy treats but they changed my mind. Also, the bread pudding is wonderful. I do think they should make their own salad dressings like blue cheese. This place is a joke. I waited an hour to get a take home pizza to bake; they didn't leave instructions on how to cook my pizza. My wife order a sandwich and soup which she got and her soup was cold. I was told when she got her food my pizza was almost done. Then it took another 45 minutes to get my pizza. I will never eat at this establishment again. read more

Went to the Village Baker in Sandy at 12:15 PM with work colleagues. I ordered the full/large Chicken Caesar Salad, to go. It was a good salad; tasted great. Well prepared. Presentation was nice with extra touches like a sliced lemon peel, nice toppings, bag of croutons, and a roll. We waited maybe 5 minutes during the busy lunch rush hour to get our food, which was very nice and unexpected how quick they were. So, the reason for only 3 stars . . . Their online website order form doesn't work on any of our computers. I tried different browsers as well. All I got was a blank webpage screen and a lack of secure http for ordering. Now, a colleague of mine was able to order from his phone; but no one could order from a desktop/laptop computer. Worse is that it was showing as an unsecured http connection. So, Village Baker really needs to get its web developers to check the order form portion of the website and make it more compatible and secure with desktops/laptops. read more
