Our favorites that we tried were the taco camarones and the California sunrise. The southern comfort lacked toppings. It seemed to be barbeque sauce and some cabbage on pizza dough? The hot honey was good but it's a safe and easy option. The Thai salad and soup were both phenomenal. This place is a great convenient option for groups that has fun + safe options and does it well and in a timely manner. Definitely will return with groups of friends in the future!!

Oh, Village Baker, how I love you so. This place has been a favorite of mine for years. I discovered this wonderful place when I was 12 years old. My mom and I would go get lunch there after my weekly piano lessons. Village Baker has surpassed my expectations for nearly ten years now. (Wow!) The staff has always been kind and helpful. Every single employee I've encountered here seems to thoroughly enjoy their job. They are always very accommodating for any changes or special requests you may have, which is great for all of the picky eaters like me. The last time I visited the newer location, it was during the lunch rush, so orders were taking longer than normal. One kind employee started to offer pizza samples, apologizing for the wait. The FOOD. Mmmm. My favorite is the Turkey & Provolone, with a little cranberry and some sprouts added on. Their pizza is also delicious, and so are their pastries. But the best thing that Village Baker has to offer is their bread. I pity all of you non-gluten people because man, you are missing out. I cannot remember the last time I bought my bread from the grocery store. I've been so completely spoiled with this delicious bread, that store-bought bread tastes like cardboard. I have never been able to decide on a favorite movie, book, or even color. But I'm telling you, Village Baker is my FAVORITE restaurant. Easily. If you've been here, you know exactly what I'm talking about. If you haven't been here, drop everything and go there right now! Try it! Cashier I had was a robot with a faulty speech processor. I clearly asked for wheat bread & avocado but those directives didn't register. American cheese, what?!?! Why am I eating American cheese (that I didn't order)? Is a half sandwich technically a full sandwich? I don't know, it was my first time there so not sure how they do things because I definitely asked for a full sandwich. Based on the cashier's overall energy level, I suspect low power. I suggest changing her batteries, or even reassignment to a toll booth might be more appropriate for her skill level. Otherwise, the atmosphere in there was very "lady," which makes sense because the "build your own" methodology of food ordering would definitely appeal to the notoriously picayune female of the species. Personally, I'm not a fan of the "build your own" ethos. Just put a dozen good sandwich configurations on the board and stfu. Instead, they open the door to human robot error with all-those-choices, and I found out the hard way how well that works. read more

I go into this location to purchase bread. But they told me they no longer can take CASH. I will be damned if the cashless agenda is going to affect me. As I will definitely not be supporting those that want to change our country to a communistic Society. These are the corporations that are funding the corruption that are attacking our rights. This is disgusting. I was taught to treat everyone the same no matter their financial situation. But at this business I was turned away from purchasing FOOD because I don't have a credit card. The food here is amazing! I come here all the time, the reason I'm giving it two stars is because the staff isn't very friendly. They've made mistakes on my order before (not a huge deal) but even at that point they had no desire to help me fix it when they should be accommodating mu needs. The staff needs an attitude adjustment. Specifically the older blonde woman with braces who tends to be kind to males and children but not so much to women (me). They could all put a smile on their faces as they are getting paid to accommodate customers needs. Hopefully someone authoritative sees this and can make some adjustments. read more

This is the BEST pizza I have ever had. The crust is amazing and the flavor of the sauce incredible. I probably could live on it the rest of my life. I get the Pizza Italiano. For years I have gotten the pastrami sandwich on squaw bread...a great sandwich. But I am now hooked on the pizza. They have fabulous cinnamon rolls, soft and gooey...the almond bar is really yummy. The service is on the slow side, when I call in for take out, I plan on arriving 10 minutes later than the time quoted and then it's close to being done!! Very friendly place! read more

I typically order the delicious southwest salad when I visit the Village Baker in Sandy. It is always fresh and consistently good . My other favorite is the Chicken Salad sandwich on wheat....Wow! A winner every time! I love the casual atmosphere, the friendly service and the consistency of quality food. And.....if you have not tried their pizza you are missing out! Delicious!! The food here is fantastic. I love their salad and sandwich combos, their bread is probably the best I've ever had, and their pizza is stellar. Special praise for their pizza, I've been to more than a place or two, and this is the best pizza I've ever had in the valley. The building is very clean and tastefully decorated. There were probably 20 diners at this location at 4-5 tables at 2:00 PM on a Sunday. I counted about 10-12 employees. The wait for everything seemed a little too long for the employee/diner ratio. The food was just OK. The brisket sandwich was very dry and pulled, like pulled pork, but without any juices. I know it's not a smokehouse and they likely just order overcooked roasted brisket from Cisco or something, but when you order a brisket sandwich for $14, there are expectations. Ordered coffee with lunch. Waiter brought two coffees and a small container of cream. Asked to refill about halfway through. Brought coffees and no cream. So I asked again. Then about 5 minutes later I asked again. Then I watched our waiter go into the open kitchen area and lean against a counter and chat and laugh with two other staff for 5 minutes. I stood up and walked toward him and he saw me. He broke with the group, came out and said, "Sorry, I had to do something in the back." Very mediocre experience overall. Not what I expected based on previous experiences at the other location. Also, noisy dining room, no solid buffering insulation in the ceiling. Cafeteria-like experience.

I was so excited and will probably never step foot in another great harvest.

However i went to get a sandwich a bit later today and the lady was extremely slow and looked lost she said she was the manager but couldn't remember what sandwich me and 1 other lady ordered it was only us in the store. while in line I noticed the lettuce looked slimy and kinda gross. then I saw like 3 little bugs crawling in the lettuce. i said something to them and they looked like I was speaking another language. Instead of replacing the lettuce they said they couldn't see anything and took it away and said Sorry about that. Then proceeded to just not get new lettuce so I had to get the other kind of lettuce praying that there's no bugs on this one. I get that it was 5:30pm but they don't close till 7pm. I hope in the future they can add some kind of lid or something to prevent bugs
