I grew up on Villa Pizza, it was my grandfather's favorite. My mother preferred their roast beef sandwiches. Twenty-five years later I am in town for my grandparents memorial, and I picked up roast beef sandwiches for my mom and I last night. The roast beef was every bit as I remember it. LOTS of meat, fantastic fries, and dirt cheap compared to fast food options. My only regret is that I forgot to ask for peppers. It's a rare thing when something from your childhood continues to live up to the memories. I'll definitely be ordering from there again before I leave town. read more

Villa Pizza - Roast beef sandwich, fries, and cole slaw. - Pizza Near Me - Griffith, Indiana

I arrived on a Wednesday at 4:38 pm to find a handwritten sign saying "Dining room closed." Thank you for wasting my time.

Villa has really damn good pizza. I will say this , we ordered some Italian Beef sandwiches tonight and "damn...they were amazingly delicious!" Also amazing customer service all around I'll be making it a point to order from here on a regular basis. read more

Went and picked up my order, but the mouse droppings on top of the refrigerator when you walk in is very discouraging I understand sometimes rodents are unavoidable, but at least pick up the droppings in plain sight read more

Great pizza best in griffith I order it all the time. Always hot and the delivery driver is always smiling

Best Pizza Ever! We've been going to Villa for our pizza for over 25 years. There is no other pizza anywhere tfat we have lived or traveled that even comes close to Villa Pizza in Griffith, Indiana.... it's deliciously perfect every time. The crust is tasty without being too thin, thick. or soggy. They do not skip on the ingredients. There is never too little or too much sauce, and the cheesy layer is tasty and awedome. Yes, it's a small establishment that doesn't look like much... But they know what they're doing and they still put out the best pizza you'll ever taste...and at reasonable prices!! read more

We have always lived Villa in Griffith. Especially the pizza. But the best thing about them is the home-style service. They take care of my dad when he says "I want a pizza!" We all know he wants Vilka! read more

Loaded pizza, but it lacked the Italian sausage taste. I don't know what happened. The toppings were there. It just lacked the flavor.

Grew up eating Villa pizza. Last time we were home ordered a Sausage and Mushroom pizza. Not the same as when growing up. The crust was different and less sauce. It appears as if they have lost their way. read more

Great Pizza---wayyyyy too expensive. they need to spread their toppings all the way to the edge. still really good!!!!!! ALL CASH Delivery!!!! read more

On Mother's Day, over a hundred miles from home, and hungry, we found this place on Yelp. We were glad we did! The onion rings and fried mushrooms appeared to be fresh, not frozen and were they ever good! The best I've had in ages. Each of us ordered personal pan pizzas on the recommendation of our server. For three people they were about the same cost as one larger pizza, and we each got what we wanted. The crust and sauce were very good, we loved the cornmeal on the bottom and no need to order extra cheese. They couldn't have fit any more on them! When ordering I asked if the mushrooms were canned or fresh. The server said "canned," but after noticing my reaction, good naturedly offered to use fresh. They have them for making the fried mushrooms, I supposed. Not kidding, the place is more of a takeout restaurant than eat-in, but there is a small dining room and one bathroom. Divey, but clean. We were glad for it on a cold, rainy day on a long drive back from Chicago. read more

Pizza was good, we ordered a large pepperoni. Sad to say there was barley any pepperoni and I never though I'd say this but there was too much cheese. Surprisingly my favorite part was the wings. They had great flavor, were perfectly crunchy and not greasy. Good food and value would recommend. read more

Great pizza. Love the crumbled sausage. Great friendly fast delivery. Highly recommend

As always delicious hot pizzas. Had a small thank you party so ordered 6 pizzas. Everyone said sausage pizza was good. I had the vegetable and pepperoni pizzas. Highly recommend both but the veggie pizza was outstanding. Delivery was quick and he was very pleasant. read more

Disgusting I literally ordered this pizza because of reviews and wanted to try it out but sadly iit was not what I expected at all the sausage had the seeds in it and what was worst is the sausage was like little pieces of ground beef crumbly in the whole pizza not crunchy just seedy and too much meat crust was soggy by far the worst pizza I've ever tasted in my life what a waste of money had to end up throwing out the whole pizza and their cheese sticks were awful to they taste like they were cooked with old oil I hate to leave bad reviews but this was the worst $25 I've spent my stomach hurt after 2 bites I tried to eat it just so it wouldn't go to waste but I couldn't go past 2 bites without my stomach hurting it was that bad. And I know good pizza I'm from Chicago where pizza is the best of the best. read more

I'm a first time guest and I gotta say that Italian beef was amazing!! It was suggested that I have it on garlic bread with mozzarella cheese which I went ahead and did it was phenomenal best Italian beef around here I'm gonna try the pizza next and it looks like the wings are good too. read more

Nothing fancy. Straight up regular pizza joint where the owner knows how to make some great pizza. You know you have great pizza when the cheese is real and they're not shy at the portions they dish out. The toppings are great and the pizzas cooked to perfection. Make sure to try their deluxe pizza (sausage, green peppers, and mushrooms). read more

Pizza was absolutely delicious! I honestly wish It looked how it tasted. Place could also use some more TLC and a broom

My favorite pizza place, sausage is the best in my opinion but my boyfriend loves pepperoni! Family favorites from both of our families!

My boyfriend's brother lives in the area and has told me about how great this place is. So the other night we order a large everything pizza and some cheese sticks. Let me just say that the cheese sticks were wow.. The pizza was really good. The wait was worth it. Definitely making this the place to order pizza from. Oh and I live in Hammond... read more

The five (5) Star reviews for Villa Pizza is contagious because the pizza served here is simply awesome! You are all 100% correct! The pizza is fabulous at Villa Pizza! For a place that looks like a hole in the wall, Villa Pizza is a great tasty and authentic place to find the best pizza around! Highly recommended! read more

Hole-in-the-wall carryout place. Price is very good. The building is not in good shape but that doesn't mean the food is. So they have good tasting pizza, generous cheese, and the sauce is on the sweet side. They actually make a ditch in the pizza to define the 2 halves if you split the toppings. The only neg is the bottom of the pizza is loaded with too much corn meal crumbs. Other than that, I like the sauce flavor. Will go back for more. read more

Great pizza PERIOD. Very generous with ingredients, you can't go wrong ordering from Villa. Five ingredient small pizza is like $14.00 and it weighs a TON. Extra cheese, sausage, mushroom, green pepper and pepperoni. read more

Villa Pizza - Lg sausage and small cheese. Yum, so good! - Pizza Near Me - Griffith, Indiana

I grew up eating villa pizza as a child, when the 2 brothers owned the place. Moved out of state 20 yrs ago, but still frequent the area to see family. Every time I return to villa the pizza and Italian beef sandwiches are consistently delicious. Prices are excellent, portions are huge, and it's my fav in NW Indiana. Nothing fancy, always do takeout, but everything is just as it should be. Used to have the best pizza bread around, but haven't tried that in years. I live in an area where pizza is paper thin and provel cheese has replaced mozzarella, ick to both. So I have a deep appreciation for villa's crust and the use of mozzarella, which is the way pizza should be made. Thx villa for all the years of great food, and I'll keep coming back when I'm town! read more

Best pizza in all of Chicago land, if not all of the mid west. Haven't had any better in any of the mid major city's. Villa is a true throwback to the south side, right out of Calumet City. I have been going to Villa since 1977 and make sure we order a pizza every time I come into town to see my folks. Thanks for all the great pizzas. read more

My dad grew up on Villa. I can remember having it growing up just like he did-- it's an institution here in the region and I love introducing my non-region friends to the beauty of NWI pizza. The fried mushrooms are also INCREDIBLE and are a must- have. In fact, Villa is one of the few place that makes fried mushrooms well (I didn't know that was a delicacy but man they are). Definitely give it a go and get the sausage! Crumbly and delicious with the right amount of sauce read more

Villa Pizza is amazing! I have wonderful memories of going there in junior high which was over 30 years ago!

I was raised on Villa. It's located in a dive building on Broad St. In front is the takeout counter with the large ovens behind it, along with stations to make the pies. In the back is the restaurant area. Plastic checkered table cloths and wood panels if memory serves. Since this was virtually the only pizza I knew, I thought all pizza was similar. Let me tell you, now that I've gotten around a bit, I can safely say that Villa's is one of a kind. First, the square cut. Lots of joints have this as an option, but with Villa, it's standard. Second, cornmeal on the bottom. I don't see that anywhere. Lastly, the flavor. Greasy and tasty. Also try one of their Italian Beef sandwiches. They are a bit more common to the region, but very good. Highly recommend. Worth going out of your way to eat here. read more

Read the previous reviews...decided to try this pizzeria out. The pizza had lots of cheese--almost too much. The crust was good and slightly crunchy (like I like it). I'd ordered onion rings & wings--nothing memorable. My only complaint is that the pizza is extremely greasy!!! All in all, this is just an "okay" pizza joint. I wanted it to be so much more but sadly I was disappointed. read more
