Ordering a pizza with anchovy, onion and black olives come with rather skimpy ingredients on your pizza. Yes! Some people love anchovies and aren't picky eaters. Not all pizzas receive rave reviews at House of Pizza. LASTLY... The uncomfortable eating experience in the large dining room with the bar. It only takes a few loud-mouth drunks yelling and shouting to ruin the dining experience of every other customer trying to just enjoy dining with their families, date or individually. You'll see people all the way by the windows stop eating and turn around and look in the direction of the bar to see where all that aggravating noise is coming from? Add to that, it has been noted to be quite cool in there to be comfortable. It's best to come and dine here before 6pm because after that the crowd gets boisterous and their lack of concern for other diners is appallingly rude. Not much after 6pm, it is pretty dicey inside here just so you are aware. You can also tell be the signs meant to reign in any potential nonsense, I feel for the owner. I would suggest some grey fabric, strategically covering part of the pillars and in the bar area itself. You would be surprised how much irritating noise can be absorbed with a good fabric. The dining room is like an echo chamber with noise bouncing off the hard surfaces of the walls, ceiling and floor. Best to eat here early, carry out or have it delivered, if you just want to eat a good pizza and not suffer in torturous unnecessary noise. Peace!

We sat outside to wait for our order. It was brought out to us fast. I was excited to get back to our place to get started. The CALZONE was tasty. There was a red sauce in the box with it that amplified the flavor. The PIZZA was greasy, but I enjoyed it. The service was great. I didn't have any issues. Overall, I had a successful visit. When I opened that box and saw those square pieces of pie, I got excited, but then I took a bite and WOW! The crust had phenomenal crunch and even though it qualifies as thin crust, it is almost like thin crust had a baby with thick/deep dish. It was crunchy on the outside and soft airy dough inside. But crust alone can't make a pizza if the toppings don't taste great. And these toppings were the perfect marriage with this crust! They really are fresh, quality ingredients. I'm jelly I don't live nearby because this would be my go to place for pizza. I was staying in a hotel nearby and had it delivered and it was piping hot upon arrival and was not the least bit soggy/steamed. Can't say enough good things about Squigi's!!

I said to myself, I need to check them out. So I did, over the summer, I actually liked their food that much that I kept returning. My review is only for the Chicago style tavern cut pizza. This place is easily on par with the best pizzerias in this area. They utilize high quality ingredients, unfortunately some pizzerias try to cut corners and skimp on the ingredients, hoping no one will notice, to make more money. Well, I quickly notice cheap ingredients in recipes and its quite apparent in the final product. They also have Neapolitan style pizza which made me very curious because they don't have a high heat wood or charcoal oven that is usually necessary to make blistering style pizza. I know there are tricks to achieve the blistering charred crust with a regular oven. Some will utilize a broiler to mimic a very hot oven. The first time I saw this trick was in a pizzeria in Barcelona and they made excellent Neapolitan style pizza in a regular oven. It came out perfect just like in a extremely hot oven. Well, this place cooks their Neapolitan style pizza like a regular pizza without any tricks. They actually have a very good recipe that tastes very good it just doesn't have that char that you would expect on a pizza of this style. Will I continue to order Neopolitan style pizza from them? Yes, if I am in the area, because no one else for miles makes this style of pizza. I have also had their a few of their pasta dishes and one was a stand out. It was the pasta with rapi broccoli and sausage which was delicious. Unfortunately, it was not a big seller and they decided to take it off the menu. Maybe I should have written this review sooner? Anyhow, I highly recommend their Chicago tavern cut pizza with excellent crust, sauce, cheese, and topping of your choice.

They gave me a magnet with a code to scan through my phone's camera. It directed me to their website to check out the menu. That was a new concept and interesting. I looked it over and made a call to them to place my order. I ordered a Large Thin Crust Pizza with Crumbled Sausage, Pepperoni, and Onion. I was told it would be ready by 9, so I just waited outside in my car. It probably took about 30 minutes. I waited a bit to try it out, since the box was pretty hot. They even put foil in the box. The pizza was, of course, crispy. It was a Thin Crust Pizza after all. I'd say they didn't cheap out on the crumbled sausage or pepperoni, but the onions were difficult to locate. That was a bummer. The cheese layered on the pizza was good enough. I did enjoy their crispy crust for the most part. It was definitely a change of pace from other pizza places. The pizza as a whole, would mostly be on the line of average. I didn't hate it, but I just didn't love it, either. I would also say that they should have gone heavier on the sauce. It was pretty distant. The employees were friendly and easy to communicate with. I didn't have any issues here in terms of service, so that's a big plus. Overall, this place is a tiny bit above average for me, so they deserve three stars. I might return here, but I might not. It's hard to say, but it was worth the try.
