The cafe was good, but i am really not a coffee drinker so i had the jitters after drinking almost half a cup. I could taste the abuelita and the shot of espresso. If you get this make sure you like espresso. It was a tasty coffee but i had to add more sugar....because thats my business On the way back home made another stop to pick up more pan dulce to take home to my family. They have a very good selection; I think the early you go the better the selection. Definitely would recommend and will be stopping by there again next time we go that way. I wanted to check out some local places and I had been following Ixxa Coffee on IG and they are just 8 minutes from our home! It's so inviting, warm and decked out with BEAUTIFUL FOLIAGE!!! We loved all the plants! We are plant parents! I had the iced honey chai latte and my Hubby had the serenitea. We loved and enjoyed our drinks! We also had a chocolate croissant and an almond croissant. Both were fresh and yummy! After leaving, I went back to IG and saw the story of the owners and I felt more connected to the coffee shop! It's frustrating to see Hispanic bread and drink names used on the menu when they aren't prepared correctly. That feels misleading and honestly disrespectful to the culture behind these items. If you're going to use traditional names, there should be some level of authenticity or at the very least, honesty about what the product actually is. If the drink isn't going to be made properly, it shouldn't be labeled or marketed as Café de Olla. Either fix the recipe or rename/remove it from the menu. Customers deserve accurate descriptions of what they're ordering. I hope management takes this feedback seriously.
