Last minute decision to go out to eat on a Saturday evening and we made a great decision for 313 Taproom. The service was good once we figured it all out. It was a cozy restaurant with music playing at a volume low enough that you can carry on a conversation. The food is good but not great, but that's not the main attraction of this place. The main attraction is the 30+ self-serve beer taps which allow you to buy as little or as much as you desire. There is a wide variety of beers that can be sampled. The concept is very of having a tab card which you use when ordering food, mixed drinks and the taps. We will definitely stop in if we are ever in the area. read more

This is a great little spot just a few miles from our house. It is one of the stops that we generally make along a bicycling route to a local brewery. They have a great selection of beer and the food always looks great. It's a small place, but is decorated very nicely. Any server we have ever had, was really friendly. Finally checked this place out last weekend. They have probably 15-20 tables plus an upstairs that was closed due to a private party. They have plenty of tap options and a cool concept of using a card to fill up your glasses. Wish they had a non-alcoholic option. (Dry January). They do have non alcoholic options not on draft. They have a food menu but it took awhile to get the food once we ordered. The people we were with ordered right before us and we finished eating before their food showed up. This could be due to the amount of people they had in the space that night. They had live music while we were there but before they started playing it was so loud in the front room that I couldn't even hear myself think. Plus there were so many people it was hard to get around without bumping into people. They do have a small parking lot onsite behind the taproom. Will try again but if it's packed will just go elsewhere due to space constraints. read more

I met a friend here for some drinks not knowing what to expect. I have been to similar places in other cities where you pour yourself and pay for what you drink. The beer selection was really good - a great variety including many local options. A number of people were inside watching a game so we opted to sit outside, which was good, but I wished the TV and/or the sound wasn't on. There was no one else out there and it would have been nice to have the option to get away from the game if we so chose to. read more

Taco Tuesday was great value. The soft pretzel with cheese and mustard was fabulous. My first time at a pour your own tap house and a great value. Great to try several new beers. This taproom allows dogs on the patio, allowing me to sample some local beers while with my dog. My dog doesn't drink alcohol, though, preferring to lap it up from a water bowl brought by one of the servers. Service was very friendly. The interior is spacious and well air-conditioned. I appreciate the diversity of beers, too, from Byway's "Orange is the new Wheat" to 3Floyd's "Gumballhead" and stronger IPAs produced in the Great Lakes Region. read more

I came here for WJOB's NCAA Insiders live show and loved it! They have a great selection of beers and it's a place where you pour your own from the taps which is always fun. Great place, they were very accommodating with my dog and watched her if I wanted to go back up to the taps, brought her water and snacks. We have been coming to 313 since they opened. We enjoyed the comfortable, relaxing atmosphere and the beers. The staff was professional, friendly and focused on the guests. And then they hired someone by the name of Ali. Useless staff member that is good at taking your credit card and collecting your money at the end of the visit, but nothing else in between. Tables are dirty, chairs in disarray and heaven forbid she would check on you and ask if you wanted something from the kitchen. And doesn't bring the pretzel sticks that we use to always get. She's too busy paying attention to her friends and making sure they have what they need. And they are all drinking and horribly loud. Not the environment we want to be in. We've given it several tries to go back, but today was the last time. You all had a great staff. Not sure what happened to them. We won't be back nor we will recommend this place to our friends. read more

I frequent this place when I am in town. The staff is pretty-cool. The tall blonde bartender has us in stitches laughing, she is fun to talk with. The beer selection is great, full bar and food options. I am not a fan of the food but I like more fried foods when I am drinking beer. We did come for their wing special and they were good. Wish they had onion rings or big platter of nachos. I have not had a bad experience there and would recommend it for a chill place to hang out. read more

Disappointed and not one to write a bad review. My family and I had lived in Munster for 20+ years and always recommend small business to help the community, but will hesitate to recommend 313 from the service we received from the bartender on Sunday 11/7/2021. My mother, boyfriend and I checked in and from then the start the bartender seemed off. At check in she seemed very disoriented, in line with being intoxicated. We let it go and took a seat. I approached the bar to order with no problems. We then waiting an hour for an order of sliders. I approached the bar to ask about the order and the bartender, Sara, told me they had run out of buns and only 2 of the 3 sliders available. I suggested they still come out and she agreed. We waited another 20 mins for the order until my mom inquired again. Sara had a very rude demeanor and threw the cook under the bus saying "she's new and slow." Never suggesting an alternative or solution to the problem. She told my mom they would come out but as my mom walked back towards the table, Sara proceeded to roll her eyes, laugh and make remarks about my mother to another customer as if my boyfriend and I could not see or hear what she was saying. I let my mother know and she approached her again and asked for a manager. Sara said there was not a manager available and my mom came to sit back down when Sara said "Jesus fuck" under her breath and naturally my mom said it back to her. The incomplete order eventually came out but Sara, never apologized for the inconvenience or tried to find a solution to the problem. She did not charge us for the incomplete order of sliders, but an apology or acknowledgment of the situation would have been much more valuable. Having worked as a bartender and server at a high volume bar at IU Bloomington, I am always the first person to defend and support service workers and know that the customer is not always right. Service workers should however be mindful of their actions knowing they represent the broader establishment. I know that one person's actions should not define the entirety of an establishment but it is still disappointing and I hope management acknowledges the behavior of those who represent them. read more

I've had almost everything on the menu and they never disappoint. Private room upstairs for parties and cool outdoor patio with fire pit and heaters.
