Unfortunately, I did not try the food however it looked amazing. I had already eaten and looking at other people's food. Makes me definitely wanna come back. Especially the hamburgers! They look amazing. I had been at an art show across the street and my friend had come over and got a coffee and I asked her where she got her coffee so we came back across the street to Tiny's. I got my coffee in to go cup but we did sit around there for a while. My friend and I thought I had amazing atmosphere and it's such a cute place. All the staff was extremely friendly and I like the fact that there was a good mixture of all types of people from all walks of life in there. Gave me a nice neighborhood feel I will definitely be back to try the food! I accidentally posted this under my old profile but Tiny's Coffee Bar is so good it deserves to be reviewed twice! My bridal shower at Tiny's. It was suggest by a friend but I had never been. The experience was wonderful! The entire staff was attentive to our party and there were other large parties there. I had the salmon salad and 2 espresso martinis, both were delicious. The food was so good we all sampled each others' - apple French toast, chicken biscuit with cheese grits, fries and the grilled PB&J. I should have ordered one of those to go. The coffee bar is quite large on the inside with two sides and a nice size bar. Matt, the owner, communicated with my friends to make sure everything para perfect for the shower. We got to meet his mom who was lovely as well. Tiny's is clearly a gathering spot for the community. It's worth the trip to Gary. read more

Stopped on our way through town, their website says they're open late but we were told kitchen closes at 9, we got there just in time! Very cute place, and the waitress was very attentive and gave us recommendations, came back often to check on us and refill our drinks. Lots of drink options, including cocktails, wine, beer, cider. I got a grapefruit radler which I don't see too often. Several yummy looking things in the menu, and vegetarian and gluten free options. I went with the recommendation of vegetarian fried rice, topped with a fried egg. My friend got the chips and guac and pork belly side. We both liked the food quite a bit! A great find! Lots of people were there, and there was live music which was a bit loud, but definitely recommend this spot. read more

I am a long time Miller resident. I like the idea of being able to stop in a local restaurant to eat. I had friends in from ATL and we went to TIny's. The menu is eclectic but the food was not prepared well. Over cooked and under seasoned wings and shrimp. A steak was okay. Please step up the quality of food seasoning and preparation. The restaurant is quaint, convenient and contemporary. But if the food isn't going to be better, no need to support. read more

My experience at Tiny's Café & Coffee Bar in Miller Beach was disappointing overall. The service was decent, and I don't have many complaints about the staff. However, the food and drinks did not justify the prices. The cocktails were $15-$16 each, which wouldn't have been an issue if they had been well made, but they contained very little alcohol and lacked the quality you'd expect at that price point. The food was equally underwhelming. The chicken on the sandwiches was rubbery, and the eggs in the breakfast burrito tasted like instant eggs. For the quality we received, the prices felt excessive. Our bill came to $117.48 for three people--two chicken sandwiches, one breakfast burrito, and one cocktail each. I don't mind paying premium prices for a premium dining experience, but unfortunately, this wasn't one. Based on this visit, I wouldn't recommend Tiny's Café & Coffee Bar, and I don't plan on returning. read more

Upon entering, we were immediately impressed by the modern, cozy interior design and very friendly staff. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting and while staff moves with easy efficiency. They are fast but not appearing to rush. The smoked salmon platters presentation was beautiful, every ingredient was obviously fresh, the portions were generous, and we felt the price was a tremendous value. We also enjoyed a fresh, light, flakey croissant. We had 3 coffee drinks. We enjoyed a black drip coffee and a latte while enjoying the salmon platter and croissant. The coffee was well balanced and not too acidic. The latte was perfectly executed. Next, Aiden made for us a lemon lavender latte topped with a little bit of lemon zest. The zest added a delightful texture and aroma that I have not experienced before or since. We will absolutely come back to explore more of the menu. read more

I stopped in with 3 of our kids after a hike at the nearby West Beach trails. Tiny's was exactly what we needed. Good coffee and atmosphere to play some of the board games they keep on hand. I enjoyed the Cortado and my daughter really love their brown sugar iced coffee. This is a great coffee shop and I definitely need to come back to enjoy some adult beverages as well. read more

This is a fun location serving Both breakfast and dinner items. We were only there for an evening menu, but it's what they served in the morning looked amazing as well. The space has two sides to serve both larger and smaller groups. They do trivia on Thursdays and probably other events as well. The bar was crowded but there were lot y of tables so we were seated rather quickly. We ended up ordering soups and sides, and my soup was amazing and full of flavor. It was a rice and lemon dish that was creamy and yet not overly rich. Yum! The space was quiet despite the number of people and was decorated in a fun speakeasy type vibe. We had seats near the large front window and so we could watch the Main Street which was a fun view. I would recommend if you have a specific thing on the menu you are craving to call first, as the risotto was not on the menu either time we went (I had been craving that item). But they do have plenty of other vegan options and tasty choices. It was a great spot for dinner and definitely worth checking out! read more

Great food, ambiance and service! Super cute bar/eatery in the old Miller Bakery on Lake St. I have visited several times for bites and cocktails but today indulged in the Shrimp and Grits for brunch. Solid dish, shrimp were meaty and the grits, cheesy and smooth. I also had the shaken iced espresso that kept me nice and alert for my drive back down to Indy. I look forward to more visits to Tiny's when I am visiting my hometown. Service is great and parking is easy. read more

What a surprise. In town for a funeral and stopped by to get some coffee and a bite to eat. We were immediately greeted by the staff and told to pick a table. I was shocked to see the prices. An iced latte with syrup in Atlanta would normally cost me at least $7. Their lattes start at $4.50. After we ordered the drinks quickly came out. And man, it was good. Presentation and taste were great. Food came out after that and it was just as good as the drink. I had the chicken biscuit. There's a really nice jam that comes on it with their house pickles. Again, great flavor. We stayed about a hour after finishing our food. It's a great place to just sit and talk. The place is spacious, music wasn't too loud, they have tvs playing in the background, and a huge clean bathroom. Not sure when I'll be back in town but I'll definitely be making my way back here. read more

Dropped in for lunch after visiting the Gardner Center for the Arts. I found a Relaxing venue full of art and hospitality. I recommend the Good Morning burger, the chicken sandwich and the matcha latte. I will have to come back to try the grits and some dessert. read more

Boy, this is the best thing that has happened to this stretch of Miller Beach, and therefore to our favorite hike on the Paul Douglas Trail, in a very long time. A clean welcoming space with plenty of chairs, friendly service, and a nice cozy corner with board games and a few books to keep your family happy. The portions are a little small and the food is a little simple, but it's all tasty and just what you need to recharge after a morning in the Indiana Dunes. On our first trip, I would say that the brisket is very good, and so is the biscuit, and the chicken tenders and fries are solid, but the sandwiches sometimes lack a little balance (one had too much jam, and the other had the brisket sliced in a way that it fell out of the sandwich too easily). But I'm confident we'll be back just about every time we are in the area and I'll spend more time with the menu. read more

We loved getting to meet the owner Matthew and the bar manager Jade. There were super busy tonight with the Air Show happening in Gary this weekend. I read about them in the NWI Times a few months ago and have been wanting to check out this little area of Northwest Indiana. I am so glad we did! This place is a gem. Although still new, we already have a couple of faves to eat here and it's THE BURGERS! Wowza. You can't get a better burger around here... HANDS DOWN! They have 2 smash burgers on the menu : the Tiny's smash and the California smash. We usually get one of each and each of us can have half of each. Lol. First of all the meat that they use is SPECTACULAR! 2 Pattie's each of A blend of brisket, rib, and chuck. Superb flavor. They come out looking picture perfect and cooked perfectly every time. I can't get enough of the homemade pickles. We still have yet to try some other things as we are hooked on these burgers, lawd help us! The cocktails are amazing, and they have our fave coffee drinks in town. My hubby enjoys the Cortado, while I always enjoy something different! If you haven't been here yet, you're missing OUT! The decor was festive for Halloween and I loved it. The staff was hardworking and friendly. My Coffee was decent, the expresso machine was great, the honey was fake corn syrup honey. You can taste the difference in real or local honey. My food was decent, I didn't expect cheese to automatically be put in my scrambled eggs so be clear on your order. I think with a few adjustments this place could be a 5 star experience, but quality sweeteners and milks matter in the coffee game read more
