We were searching for a place to go out for my 68th birthday and wanted to stay close to home and preferably for a Sunday brunch. We came upon Bon Vie in Hobart and what a pleasant surprise. Staged in a little house overlooking Lake George, the menu was limited, but varied with a very good selection of beer, wine very good libations. The food was prepared with care and the staff was extremely attentive. The Chef served some of our food and the owner stopped by on many occasions. The staff genuinely cared about our experience. It was a Christmas brunch so we got all dressed up for the occasion. We'll definitely go back .

Ordered gumbo for dinner. It was okay, but not impressive. The sausage was too greasy, and the broth was too thin. It didn't have the rich flavor I expected. Just a mediocre dish.

Excellent food and exceptional service. The chef made accommodations to our meals and checked on us to make sure things were ok. Food is wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Everything was amazing ! Hidden gem in Hobart. Service and Ambiance the best! Bread basket/butter really different and good Chef Caesar brings the main course out and checks on you Cute place .

I'm an old white guy so I know this wasn't race related as some of the complaints expressed. Well, I sat down at the bar and the tall muscular dude with the tattoos behind the bar approaches me, and he's looking at me, and I just assumed he wanted to know what I wanted to drink. I just asked for a draft beer. He said well I'm not the server but she'll be along shortly. I said, sorry, you were looking at me so I figured you wanted to know what I wanted. He then said, "no, I was more interested in what you have in your bag." I had a small white Walmart type grocery bag sitting on the bar. I told him I just had reading materials in the bag. It's the same type bag I bring in there nearly every week when I come in there to drink and read. In my bag I bring reading materials, a spare batt and charge cord for my tablet, and a case of pens and highlighters, and cigars. I don't know if he thought I was bringing a bomb in there or what, but that really pissed me off. I noticed there were women at the bar who had purses on the bar, so was he concerned about the contents of their purses? No. So he's looking at me and telling me he's wondering what's in my little white grocery bag. I came in there many times before with same small ass bag doing the same routine at the bar: peacefully smoking a cigar, drinking a few beers for an hour or two, reading, and leaving. I don't know what I did to semi-trigger this dude to suddenly direct his attention on me and my bag as soon as I sat down as if I were a criminal or a terrorist, but fine, I'll find another bar, simple enough to fix.

But food was okay and people treated you very well. it is a fun place and has good rock bands. Wish the bands started at 9:00 instead of 9:30, would definitely go back with the right band playing that I enjoy hearing.

It was suggest by a friend but I had never been. The experience was wonderful! The entire staff was attentive to our party and there were other large parties there. I had the salmon salad and 2 espresso martinis, both were delicious. The food was so good we all sampled each others' - apple French toast, chicken biscuit with cheese grits, fries and the grilled PB&J. I should have ordered one of those to go. The coffee bar is quite large on the inside with two sides and a nice size bar. Matt, the owner, communicated with my friends to make sure everything para perfect for the shower. We got to meet his mom who was lovely as well. Tiny's is clearly a gathering spot for the community. It's worth the trip to Gary.

Very cute place, and the waitress was very attentive and gave us recommendations, came back often to check on us and refill our drinks. Lots of drink options, including cocktails, wine, beer, cider. I got a grapefruit radler which I don't see too often. Several yummy looking things in the menu, and vegetarian and gluten free options. I went with the recommendation of vegetarian fried rice, topped with a fried egg. My friend got the chips and guac and pork belly side. We both liked the food quite a bit! A great find! Lots of people were there, and there was live music which was a bit loud, but definitely recommend this spot.

I have to admit, the place is waaaaay bigger on the inside than expected. There's a large u-shaped bar with nice lighting, some small high-top tables and chairs, a stage toward the back for the live jazz and blues bands, and even a lounge area with a fireplace and cozy chairs & end tables. Cute and trendy, a nice place for a date. The servers are prompt and friendly. But we ordered Stoli and sodas and pretty much got huge glasses of just vodka on the rocks. I'm not convinced the bartenders really know how to mix a drink, but I'll try a different cocktail next time (although it's kinda hard to mess up a Stoli and soda, right?). The flyer for Dirtty's says in big, bold letters "Adults 40 and Up" which could be just the kind of vibe your looking for, or maybe not your thing at all. Either way, they're very up front about it. My friend happens to be 30 and joked the whole night about being upset that she wasn't carded. C'est la vie. Currently they are open Thursday through Sunday and charge a reasonable $5 cover. Our drinks were $7 each, which is also reasonable considering it was a giant glass of vodka. All in all, we enjoyed our time at Dirtty's and will probably be back. Since they just recently opened, I will forgive the mediocre drink and hope for the best next time. It really is a cute place to enjoy a cocktail with friends and hear some live music by the fire.

Second time I tried to visit was on 2017 New Years Eve. My husband and I pulled in parking lot about 8:30ish and you could hear the music playing from outside but again when we got to door it was locked and we tried knocking but no one ever came to door. The Windows are made of glassblock so that wasn't helpful when trying to knock. I've tried to contact by Facebook, email and phone and have failed to get through. Really disappointed as I would love to see what this place has to offer. However, a business that has wrong contact information on their site and no recent updates on their webpage makes you wonder about the establishment.
