Went in and asked if they do slices,an employee said only on weekends. I was trying to see the menu but it was very dark in the restaurant (early afternoon). It was my first time in the restaurant and I could see at least 5 people working(3 of which were right near the front counter). Not one person offered to help me,I stood there for over 5 minutes before leaving.Not a good first impression. read more

I have been ordering from Capri for years. I have never gotten a bad pie or delayed delivery. I have ordered large orders of chicken for graduation parties and has always been hot and juicy never oily. Pizza has always been extra thin and well done as requested to perfection. The food is amazing and very yummy. But I must say they are horrible with delivery's and pick ups. When it was the Super Bowl I made a large order in advance and they didn't make it till 2 and a half hours later and when I asked about it they just said they lost my order and made everyone else's before mine. On another occasion I placed an order at 5 and it had arrived a little over two hours later which is very disappointing. they claimed they "lost my pizza" and they had to remake my order. read more

Ordered 2 10 piece of broasted chicken. I was hungry and looking forward to my chicken. Capri's has a long history on the south side of Chicago. Their pizza has always been delicious. So, I decide to try their chicken. However when I received my order I was sadly disappointed. First, the chicken breakdown was 5 thighs to one order and 6 thighs to the second order. Some of the pieces were burned (charred). We are a white piece family and felt cheated. When I called and asked for the manager, he refused to come to the phone. I explained to the young girl on the phone what my problem was. She reponded, " You get what you get". We had paid over $65 for our order and nobody in our family would eat this nonsense. What really bothered me was the callous response of the help, including a non-responsive manager, who didn't care. I will never order from them again. My order was placed on 07/31/2025 at approximately 5pm. It looked like they just emptied their left over chicken and dumped it on us. Very disappointed, but NEVER again. read more

Pizza is good. Today I ordered two pizzas because they have a special- Buy one pizza and get one pizza half off the price. I live about 30 mins away. I got home with my two pizza and one of my pizzas were missing two pieces. I tried to call and Let them know but no answer. So y'all be careful with the Bogo bc you do not get a whole pizza! Originally from the South side of Chicago and grew up eating the original Capri Pizza. Recently moved to Highland and decided to give this location a chance. BIG MISTAKE.... Idk who runs the place but it's a shame they bring on to the Capri name. The service is worse than the uncooked pizza. You want great fully cooked Pizza and Broasted Chicken take the ride to Capri in Whiting. The service is excellent and the food is cooked to perfection and to order. Phil is an amazing person and so is his staff. They may not have a connection and that's all for the best to be honest. Never again will I be ordering from the Schererville location and I will be sure to let friends and family in and around the area know as well. Only giving a 1 star because it's required. Seriously very disappointed at the handling of my order and To state the facts I ordered my food with plenty of time for delivery and explained to them that I was going to the airport to meet somebody and we got the food an hour late and it was cold When I called to make them aware I was told and that I needed to bring the cold food back in order to get a refund and the people I was trying to get the pizza for was family from out of town. I did not want to leave them to go back and return cold food. it was just so ridiculous that that was the expectation so I called my bank and told them to cancel the transaction. I called today to place an order for another family gathering in two hours later I got a call from the owner saying they would not fill my order and needed to cancel my order because they couldn't fulfill my order since I stopped pay on my last order, but they waited two hours after I placed my order to let me know that they were not going to fulfill it, but they never called me to let me know or resolve what had previously when I complained about the bad service, and they never or followed up when the food wasn't returned I will never order from them again, and it's terrible because we grew up with them, and the service provided disappointing no resolution, and at this point looks like we just have to take our business elsewhere. read more

Flavorful pizza(a little greasy on top), homemade taste, fresh ingredients, supportive, crisp crust with a family friendly environment. Pleasant, efficient staff. Jalepenos poppers were fresh out of the fryer and stuffed with rich creamy mozzarella (good portion). We will be back. read more

In today's day and age and weird times, I really really hate leaving negative reviews. However this place is something I will make an exception for. Ordered a pizza from there and asked for half anchovies. The service was very slow in getting the pizza to me and guess what? The entire pizza had anchovies. I asked for extra thin crust and that was messed up too. The wings were absolutely horrible. They were barely edible due to being grisly and just disgusting. When I called to complain about my order, I was told I needed to bring the food back in order to get a new pizza. Are you kidding me? I ordered delivery for a reason because I couldn't get out there to pick the food up. I would NEVER go here again. Save your money and go to Beggars or The Original John's, much better. Take my word for it and don't eat here. Bad food and worse customer service!!!!! read more

After a 10 hour work day, I had to spend an hour wiping red sauce out of my leather seats . I would recommend this place a thousand times over. It's such a hidden gem in nwi. It's as close to Chicago tavern style as you will get. (I'm from the southside, we know good pizza ) I've been gone from the area for 5 years and came back to visit family this week. I told my husband I just didn't feel like driving all the way to get good pizza and then it hit me, omg I wonder if Capris is still open. We used to order them at the salon I worked at around the corner. Sure enough it was!!! My husband has never had an Italian beef so I got him one to try and a couple pizzas. Man oh man was it just as good as I remember. The sauce is sweet, the veggies were so good, and the crust impeccable. When he tried the sandwich I thought he was going to cry. "This is the best thing I've ever eaten." Is what he said. This food is good, but the service and workers are terribly rude, rude when order, if they pick up the phone, rude when you pickup. I ordered a pizza at 6pm, was told one hour for pickup, showed up at 7pm, and they tell me it hasn't been cooked yet, will be another 25 minutes. I asked to talk to a manager, the manager shows up shocked that I even asked to speak with her, doesn't apologize, actually gives me attitude saying they are doing the best they can. Didn't offer any sort of apology or understanding for my frustration. The other manager yelled at me 'what do you want a free pop', which is just insulting. Before submitting this review, I emailed the company. The owner responded and said he would like to put the "embarrassing experience behind us." He offered to speak over the phone. I responded (twice) with my phone number but never heard anything further. I'm not interested in any future discount or anything, just annoyed. So here's my review.... Pizza was fine (don't recommend the garlic bread but everything else- no complaints.) Delivery time was excessive but that doesn't even justify one star. It was their no-name manager's attitude that did that. Things go wrong; how you handle it is what makes a difference. I ordered through Yelp/Grubhub at 5:56pm. I called Yelp because I wanted to make sure my address was clear; they called the restaurant, all good. Estimated delivery time of 7:14-7:32pm. Pretty long but it's Friday night so understandable. 7:50pm comes along and still no delivery. Yelp had a survey pop up - "was your delivery on time?" with options like early,late, not here yet. I clicked "not here yet" and it gave me a link to call customer service. Yelp called Capris and relayed to me that they offered no apology and said it would be another 20 minutes. That would be 2 hours and 24 minutes from when I placed the order. Yelp customer service suggested I call the restaurant, so I did. I explained that my order is really late and I'm, admittedly, frustrated. They put me on hold for the "manager" who picked up and just started spouting off about how busy they are, it's Grubhub's fault for not giving an accurate time. She said "who has your money? Not us, so call Grubhub." After I tell her she does a lot of talking and very little listening for someone in customer service, she tells me I have two choices: "accept your food or call Grubhub." I told her I would do both of those but doesn't solve the issue. She said she'd give me $5 off a future order. At this point I'm annoyed with her complete apathetic attitude (grubhubs fault, not theirs) and say that's not necessary since I would never order from them again. She hangs up on me. I called back and asked for her name, they act appalled that I asked and said they would never give out personal information. She can't even stand by how she spoke to me. read more

Capri's... I don't go very often, usually when family is in town or maybe as a quick pick up before heading to visit my aunt and uncle in Briar Ridge since it's so close and all. Now normally... 9 outta 10 times me and my Yelpy friends are in agreement about places... this is that 10th time I suppose. I think the crust is great, I *guess you can call it 'basic', it's still a better pizza crust than a lot of places around here. That and the fact that it doesn't get all soft and soggy towards the center of the pie. We'd gotten a large Margherita Pizza before, loaded up and even as we made our way to the center slices the crust held up and was still firm and crunchy - hella bonus - none of that soggy falling apart stuff. Did I mention it was on a Margherita Pizza? You know the sauciness of those... still the crust held up like a champ! Loved the Spaghetti, the sauce has a good flavor but is also a wee bit on the thin side, not a big deal for me but some may not like that. Me... I used the extra liquid to dip the garlic bread, om nom nom nom - Delicious. Yes, prices are a little higher that 'average' for pizza in this area. Guess what though, this ain't no Pizza Hut, Dominoes or other large chain like that. Small biz always gets my vote and monies. Dining room - not particularly LARGE but there's plenty of room and the table arrangement is open and un-crowded. General condition - hella clean, cozy and inviting. The pillars as you enter the dining room are pretty cool too. Great service too, cool, friendly and efficient employees there. Speaking of cool - take a peak at the reviews and notice that there is a certain "Ben C." that's taking the time to respond to these reviews. They don't HAVE to take the time to respond, but they do. Take that as you will. All in all, it's a great little place that's definitely worth stopping in. read more

Capri's offers a good assortment of pizza and other food, but I did not have them and so cannot offer any advice. I can speak to the chicken, however. The gold standard for fried chicken, in my opinion, is broasted chicken. If you do not know what it is, let me explain. It is fried chicken made in a pressure cooker. When cooked properly, the chicken is crispy, juicy, and very tasty. The best I have had is found in the Amish restaurants in Lancaster, PA and around Sugarcreek, OH. Capri's offers broasted chicken, so I had to give it a try. Was it as good as the PA and OH offerings? No, but it was pretty good, and it was juicy, not dried out by any means. And the price was good, not that it is the only factor. A 4-piece dinner with fries, cole slaw (a small serving), and bread was about $8.50. They also have the Saran-wrapped cookies at the register, so you'll probably do as I did and take one for dessert because they look so good. Next time I might try the pizza. It sounds pretty good from the other reviewers. read more

We've been ordering delivery from Capri restaurant for over 15 years (from 2 locations) at least once or twice a week with orders each time totaling over $40 to up to over $100 at times. Now all of a sudden they say they no longer deliver to homes past 6 miles. We only live a little over a half mile from the 6 mile limit. When I spoke to the manager and informed him we were loyal customers he did not care at all. Reason he gave was that delivery times were taking longer and people complained about the cold food. How about giving customers an option if they want to wait longer for their food or not?! It's a shame that after all these years of loyalty a restaurant does not take that into consideration. Well, I hope they lose alot of business because they just lost us as customers! Maybe its a good thing as their pizza was not the same quality as it has been in the past and their "broasted" chicken was more like hard fried pigeon pieces. Very small and too well done! read more

I just had Capri's Low carb bowl for the first time! It was awesome! Meatballs, green peppers , sauce and baked mozzarella cheese! I added a side salad and it was as fresh as it could be.
