My mom ordered a minestrone soup, she said it was pretty good. The ambiance of this restaurant is typical decoration like all other giordano's. The pizza from here is always consistent. This was my first time visiting this Giordano's, and I'll definitely be back. We stopped in to check out their lunch specials, and how can you beat a personal pan pizza and a side for only $10.99? I felt like I was back in the 90's reading for pizza again, so instant nostalgia for me for sure. If you're familiar with deep dish, you know it's super filling, so I only ate half and brought the other half home. I split a skillet cookie then with my family, and can confirm it was pretty tasty with the ice cream on top. We craved for a true representation of Chicago deep dish pizza. Our prayers were answered on Fathers' Day! On a side note, I thought and saw with my own eyes, it was filthy or in Hawaiian language, "pilau" for two white ladies before me to only rinse their hands with cold water, not flag an employee to refill soap dispenser, and return to their table, continue to eat, which is a breeding ground for spreading germs and illnesses. I informed and waited for one of two employees to refill hand soap in the women's restroom which they did. At the same time, my husband ordered the following: Giordano Sampler: Breaded mozzarella appetizers are yummy! Enjoyed the cheese pull! The bruschetta was tasty; however, more heavier in weight and taste. Chicken tenders tasted moist. Garlic cheese bread was my least favorite to my surprise due to type of melted cheese didn't complement well with the garlic and seasonings. All four sauces for dipping were packed with flavor, not spicy. Classic Deep Dish Pizza takes 45 mins to make. The Special tasted fabulous! Deep dish pizza featured sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, onions. When you lift the pizza with the serving utensil, you'll get an amazing and long cheese pull. Sturdy, tasty and perfect in weight, two inch thick crust complemented the pizza. My husband and I ate two slices each. Mission accomplished! We packed the rest to go. I managed to finish the rest for dinner at our next lodging. It was still yummy! Outstanding customer service from our male Server for recommendations, checking on us periodically with the taste of our meal, napkins and beverage refills. In my husband's exact words to our Server, "Hands down." Free parking, restrooms, bar, and a few HDTVs to watch your choice of a movie, sports, and/or NASCAR. Service at this location is absolutely terrible. We were seated quickly but other than that nothing else was good. We put our drink orders in and our waitress straight up walked off mid sentence. received our family Cesar salad, cheese sticks and garlic bread with no dressing for the salad, no utensils. When asking for the dressing ask me why she questioned us like we were lying about the dressing?!? Took her around 30min to come back to the table and we had to request for refills. Then when our food came out bought two pizzas, my husband had no plate & guess what our waitress never returned and stated she was waiting for pizza spatulas to serve the pizza excuse me? lol then she never returned until it was time to pay. We have been there before and the food is okay. Ambiance ok, Service is by far the worst I've ever experienced. 1 waiter/bartender at 4pm who is nowhere to be found. 3 tables waiting to order, 2 tables done eating but can't get a bill to pay and leave. During my most recent visit, my order included the following: * 1 Dr Pepper * 1 Mountain Dew * 1 Water * 1 Mozzarella Triangles * 1 Traditional Chicken Wings (plain) * 1 Starter Giordano's House Salad * 1 Large Make-Your-Own Thin Crust Pizza (half pepperoni, half sausage) * 1 Small Stuffed "Meat & More Meat" pizza (intended to be to-go, though not noted as such on the receipt) * 1 Skillet Cookie (requested to be served with dinner as we were celebrating my nephew's birthday) We were seated in the party room, which was extremely cold--especially considering it was approximately 20 degrees outside that day. My family and I experienced an extended wait just to receive our beverages. After placing our order, it took approximately 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The Skillet Cookie, which was supposed to be served with dinner, did not arrive. I had to remind our server, and it was finally brought out 15 minutes later, along with our receipt and a quick "good night." After my nephew finished the cookie, we left. It wasn't until I arrived home--about 30 minutes away--that I realized the Small Stuffed Meat & More Meat pizza was never brought to me. I immediately called the restaurant to explain that I had paid for an item I never received. I was told the pizza would be frozen and available for pickup the next morning. I explained that the server had already closed out my check and provided the receipt, indicating the transaction was complete, yes I left without my order but the fault was not entirely on me. I then requested to speak with a manager twice. The representative placed me on hold and returned to tell me that the manager refused to speak with me. I asked again, and instead of attempting to resolve the issue, I was told there was nothing they could do. At that point, I ended the call. I have worked in customer service for 32 years, with 28 years in management, and I have never once refused to speak with a customer. Management's refusal to engage was shocking, disrespectful, and showed a complete disregard for customer concerns. Especially given today's economy and rising costs, management should always be willing to listen to an upset guest and attempt to resolve the issue. I recently completed chemotherapy for breast cancer. As many may know, chemotherapy significantly affects memory, cognitive processing, and taste buds--especially with tomato-based foods. Pizza has always been my favorite food, and being able to truly enjoy it again was something I deeply looked forward to. That made this experience even more disappointing. This visit has completely changed my perception of Giordano's. I no longer feel this establishment prioritizes its customers, nor do I feel comfortable continuing to spend over $100 per visit here. I have contacted corporate approximately five times since this incident and have yet to receive a return call. As a result, I am sharing this experience publicly in hopes that someone from the corporate office will finally follow up. I can provide the receipt if needed. read more

Staff is great, girl's in the take out area are always nice. It's great to see young high school kids with a great worth ethic. Honestly, some of the negative reviews say more about the people writing them than about this place. Not every inconvenience is a crisis, and not every wait or mistake is a personal attack. When I happily get to visit Chicago, Giordano's is a must. Their deep dish pizza is killer!!! The rust is slightly crunchy, just right dryness on the bottom. If you can eat 2-3 pieces of these delights, you are rolling out of there, satisfied with your pizza dingy deliciously filled!!! Other items include sandwiches, pasta, salads and all plenty to eat! Giordano's is Giordano's from a food perspective. It's a good stuffed pizza for a cold or rainy day. We enjoy it. Today Ken was our server and gave great service. The place was busy with the bears game, we got our stuff on time, with all the steps of service, a pleasant persona and he offered to box our pizza at the end. It might sound like a small thing but it's a huge deal to me when servers box the food. I appreciate it. The manager stopped by and checked on us as well and the busser was on top of pre bussing. When the food finally arrived, I called to say it was delivered but I didn't want cold pizza/wings. The manager said to keep it and promised my refund was processed. Today (8/14/2025), no refund. Third time trying this place... Had Rigatoni and a "tavern style " thin crust pizza delivered. The rigatoni sauce lacks flavor, tastes like Prego out of a jar. Very disappointing. Pizza crust wasn't very thin at all, I guess I was looking more for a cracker crust. Even if the crust was to my liking of thin, the pizza overall is not very good. I feel bad for anyone who would eat here thinking this is Chicago pizza!!! Absolutely terrible representation.
