In town from AZ, visiting family, ordered two small pizzas, one medium wing and one garlic parm, with the cheesy bread sticks. Everything was delicious, little pricey, but food was great favorite was the pizza and great cheesy bread. Friendly staff clean environment great service, they give us a pizza warmer Togo to keep, which I thought was pretty cool. Thanks for the good experience! No left overs lol! read more

Walked into Aurelio's after not being in one for 20 something years and dang, it still smells the same!! I love that. Their pizza is classic with cupped pepperoni and love that they have their mega sized pizza, fiesta sized if you will. We placed an order over the phone and unfortunately when we got there, saw that it was missing a topping. They offered to take a few bucks off the total and made us another one in the fly. I emailed corporate Wednesday evening and still have heard nothing back so now I'm posting everywhere I can on all social media sites. I also filed a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General. And this is not about the money, this is about the illegal practice of charging customers a fee without notice. Here is the email I sent to corporate. Adding, Indiana is a one party consent state about recording. I wish I had looked up the law while I was there instead of believing the person who told me I could not record. I am writing about a horrible experience I just had at the Winfield, Indiana location. When my bill came, there was a 3% service fee added to my bill. When asked about it, I was told it's just something corporate is doing now. When I asked where it was posted on the menu, I was told it isn't posted anywhere, nor is it on the menu. It's just something corporate is doing now. I asked who to talk to regarding this and was given the Homewood number to call. When speaking with the manager there, she said that it is posted on the menus, carryout door, and main doors. I told her it wasn't posted anywhere at the Winfield location. I asked how to get the service fee off because I was currently at the counter waiting to pay. She said I could pay cash to remove the service fee. The girl checking me out said I still needed to pay the service fee even if I was paying cash. I then asked for someone to write something saying they had no notice anywhere about the 3% service charge. She came back and said the manger was not going to do that for me. Then I said, ok, I'll just record you saying it because I don't want to contact corporate tomorrow and have you magically put signs up tonight saying they were there all along. Another girl comes quickly behind the counter and threatened to call the police if I recorded because it was a private business and it was illegal for me to record there. I'm sure the look I gave her was priceless. So I stepped outside and recorded from the parking lot. To say that this experience was horrible would be an understatement. Charging a fee with no notice is illegal. I have been a customer of Aurelio's Pizza since my parents started taking me to the Homewood location as a toddler over forty-five years ago. I have never had such an awful experience as this. The eye rolls I received from both girls and the guy who was there are like nothing I have ever experienced. I will be spreading the word in our town how people can expect Aurelio's in Winfield to to treat their customers and the illegal practice of charging fees with no warning. And the whole, "It's only 3%" with the eye roll about put me over the top. read more

The phone service is great very kind and knowledgeable. The food was good and hot and the restaurant was very clean.

You can never go wrong with Aurelio's pizza. Everything is so good each and every time.

We had dinner there this evening. Our waitress, Christina, was on top of everything. Drinks and appetizers were timely. Our orders were 100% accurate, piping hot and the portions were huge. We didn't lack for anything and it was the best service we've received in a long time. 100% recommend and we will be back! read more

Ordered pizza on the Aurelio's "app." It said food would be ready at 9:06 PM. I arrived at 9:08 to be told that the pizza hasn't even been started and it will be about 20 minutes. When asked to see the manager/owner he told me that I looked 50 years old and I shouldn't complain. When I mentioned I wasn't near 50 he said, "you sure look it." I asked for a refund. I ordered a pizza for delivery. I was told it would be around 45 minutes to an hour. That was great because I was about 35 minutes from my house. My cameras at the house went off and let me know the pizza had arrived early. I called the store and told the manager Aaron that I was 5 minutes from my house. I told him to tell the driver to wait and I would tip him more than normal. I pulled up and my wife jumped out to get the pizza. She had 40 dollars for him and the pizza was only 25. The driver instead of taking the money for the pizza swore at her and threw the pizza in the back seat of his car. He said he was sick of people making him wait. This genius could have made a 62.5% tip for handing the pizza to a 115 lb girl. Instead this macho man berated a girl and threw a pizza all over the back seat of his car. We used to order from them all of the time. Now we use one of the 12 other pizza places in my area. I spoke with the manager and he apologized and said he remembered I called in. He said "oh well it's his (drivers) loss because he missed out on the tip" but Aaron never offered to send another pie. We get delivery and stop in. ALWAYS fresh and made to order. Love the staff and beer choices when dining in. In 20+ orders never had bad food or bad service. Gotta try a thin crust extra spinach and sauce with sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, onion. So damn good! read more

I tried odering several pizzas from here for a football party. The girl who answered the phone said she could not understand my street name even though i spelled the street for her. She passed the called to someone else to help her as she said she couldnt understand me. A guy gets on the phone and I again SPELL the street name out for him and he cant figure it out. Being from the region I've always loved Aurelio's pizza. It's that sweet sauce. Mmm! I was really excited when I found out that the Winfield location offers gluten free options - not only for the pizza crust, but also for some of the appetizers. I had the tomato bread and it was excellent - soft, fluffy gluten free bread is hard to come by. I also had a small personal pizza and it was perfect. Our server was super friendly and knew exactly which items were gluten free. I believe this location and the Crown Point location are managed by the same person and both offer gluten free, but I haven't been to the Crown Point Aurelios since going GF, so I can't confirm. read more

We dined in at the Winfield location this evening (8/5/21). We were very impressed with the pizza and the overall experience. The pizza was made to perfection! It had the perfect amount of sauce (we love the sweet sauce) and other ingredients. Mike makes a GREAT pizza! We used to live near the original location in Homewood, so needless to say, we had high expectations. The pizza tasted just like Joe made it back in the day! We also had exceptional service. Our server (Christina) was very attentive and friendly. All the other team members were also friendly. It takes a great team of people to run restaurant smoothly. There are two pizza places that frequent often. One is in the Chicago area, Aurelios and then my favorite in Louisiana near one of my manufacturing locations. Normally I wouldn't hesitate to give Aurelios 5 stars but this location lacks some things that the other dozen or so locations have particularly the ones south of Chicago that have been around for 40 years. The dining area is pretty plain and it just doesn't have the cozy Italian feel that many locations have but this one is clean and not dated. Having said that, it is functional and it well suited to adapting to parties and larger groups. The food here has always been very good so for that part I give it 5 stars but the service and atmosphere are more like 4. If you want the best pizza in he area then make Aurelios your stop. I should note that this isn't a cheap pizza and you won't find a $5.00 medium here. An XL with several toppings will run you about $30 but the taste is worth it. Treat yourself! Enjoy! read more

Overall the pizza quality is pretty good. The service is hit and miss. At times I will arrive and my pizza will be all ready to go. I am welcomed with a friendly greeting and in on my way. Then there are times I show up and have to wait or they messed up my order. Like I said...the pizza is good enough for me to keep taking a chance as I go. Service could definitely improve. read more

I attended a party here recently. The restaurant had just a booth or two of customers besides us. Service in the first 1/2 hour was fine. Waitress was attending to everyone's beverage orders. Appetizers and salad was brought out and service began to slow. We were clearing our plates and leaving it all on an empty table throughout our entire meal and having to locate our waitress. While friendly, she was not attending to the group. I've never experienced service like this from any Aurelio's restaurant. read more
