The owner and the management release suck. They have advertising for a price and they don't honor it. No problem I understand it goes up but they've known about the problem and having rectified that is just plain laziness. Yeah you have a great product but your service sucks. Best place in Winfield, Crown Point IN for pizza, chicken, beef, beef and sausage sandwiches, wraps, pasta, fish, shrimp, burgers. This place has it all. I have never been disappointed with anything from Gators. If you have party needs they can handle that also. Carry outs and full bar and lounge. They also offer delivery which sometimes can be an hour but that's because they are that busy. read more

I live in Valparaiso but we always come here to pickup their pizza. Their pizza is the best in northwest Indiana hands down! When my in-laws visit from Florida they always request that we get a Gator's pizza! My mom and dad loved their pizza. My daughter always orders their spicy chicken sandwich with cheese fries and she says it's great. We haven't had anything else on their menu except their pizza and their spicy chicken sandwich. We've been happy carryout customers for over 15 years. The quality of their pizza has never fluctuated. read more

I highly don't recommend B G Gators. We weren't certain if the kitchen was indeed open, so we sent in 2 members of our party to verify. They were told the kitchen was indeed still open, so the remainder of our party came into the restaurant. The server at the bar started walking towards our table, carrying 2 menus, and when she noticed it was actually six instead of two, she made a comment to the point "oh it's six" and turned around and walked away. We proceeded to wait 15 minutes with not one acknowledgment or anyone even looking like they were coming to wait on us. How do you tell someone the kitchen is still open, then proceed to ignore your customers, hoping they will just go away, just because the party is a few additional people? Absolutely horrible business practice. read more

What has happened at Gators?? Received delivery of beef sandwich au jus which is fine. Ordered onion rings and received only 4 rings. Also ordered chicken fajita pita. Impossible to get food. Phone constantly busy and delivery times off the charts. Was good for a while but seems owner is pinching pennies.

I had never even noticed Gator's was there. Sitting innocuously in a little strip mall near the entrance to the Season's. I was wasting a little time, and found myself parked in the mall parking lot reading a book and sipping a soda when I smelled possibly the best scent I've encountered in years. It was barbecue maybe? I don't know. But it was emanating from Gator's. And if I hadn't had supper simmering in the crock pot at home, I would have been back there for supper that night. I can't rave enough about this place. It looks like a simple townie bar but blows away the competition with the food. The food is easily 4.5 stars. The ambiance isn't probably what everyone looking for 4 star food would enjoy, but for us, it is perfect. The building is clean, but the decor is nothing fancy. Which I tend to prefer to the forced TGIF look. This place has character. The service was fantastic as well. It has that homey feel. And if you don't like something or are missing something. They will bend themselves in half to make it right. For instance, during our first visit, the lights went out in town. We hadn't gotten our meal yet, but rather than just shoo everyone out, the cook made our food IN THE DARK, using a flashlight to put everything together. No fries on that visit, the fryer was electric, but the grilled chicken was good enough we went back to try it with the lights on! And we just keep going back. I've had a different item on the menu every time we've been and I haven't found anything that wasn't good. And I am picky about my food. I'll try just about anything, but it has to be prepared well. Old stand-bys like burgers have to be amazing to get me to come back repeatedly. There's just too much competition around this town to be able to settle for mediocre. Strangely, we haven't had their signature pizza yet. But that will be remedied soon! read more

We moved to Valparaiso years ago but we still make the trip to Winfield/Crown Point to pickup their pizza. It's that good! All of our friends and family that have tried it love it also!
