CALLING ALL FUTURE BRIDES:
If you are looking for a wedding venue that is gorgeous, romantic, scenic, private, sophisticated, and all-inclusive... look no further! My now-husband and I just had our wedding there on October 6, 2012, and it was a dream come true. We knew we wanted to get married in Temecula (wine country), so last year we started making appointments to check out a few wineries in the area. We ended up visiting Ponte, Wison Creek, South Coast Winery, and Villa de Amore (which is not technically a winery).
Let me tell you, we were both COMPLETELY turned off by every single winery we visited. First of all, they treated us like just another number, since they all planned to host multiple weddings either on the same day at different times, or worse, at the same time on the same day. If that wasn't bad enough, each person we met with was a little scattered, and we constantly felt rushed or pressured into choosing them for our wedding. Since each of these venues (Ponte, Wilson Creek, and South Coast) are all wineries, they did indeed have their wine tasting rooms open to the public WHILE YOU ARE GETTING MARRIED. That means the loud, drunk and disorderly wine tasting public can wander right over to your ceremony, or at the very least, distract from what is meant to be the most romantic and intimate moment of your lives.
Needless to say, the Villa (Villa de Amore) won us over immediately. When they say "all-inclusive" they definitely mean all-inclusive... right down to the officiant, photographer, wedding cake, DJ, decoration, caterers, you name it. I met Eileen a couple of times, and she was also very warm and welcoming, but I mostly worked with David, her son and the main coordinator at the Villa. It is hard to find the words to describe how wonderful it was to work with David. He was always available for me by e-mail, responding to any little insignificant questions I had within a reasonable amount of time. He was phenomenal with being patient and very calming and kind while explaining and instructing myself, my groom, and our bridal party for the ceremony and pictures (and believe me, we were all a nervous hot mess, LOL).
Every vendor that is included with the all-inclusive package was easy to work with and always so cheerful and positive, which made my wedding planning experience very different from most brides... actually ENJOYABLE!! Our florist, Jennifer at Soiree Design & Events, created the most beautiful centerpieces for us (which were different height cylinders filled with water and orchids and topped with a lit floating candle) and my bouquet took my breath away. The DJ was very professional and stuck with all the music we had provided him with. He was very attentive to us, even offering to fill up our champagne and get us anything we needed during dinner, which was so thoughtful, especially since that wasn't part of his job at all. (David was amazingly attentive as well, checking on us frequently, while not being invasive, to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted). And Leah Faddis, our photographer... she is such a doll. I couldn't have asked for a more fun, bright, positive, uplifting, talented, and visionary photographer. Thank you all so much for making our wedding day the fairytale dream wedding we could have ever hoped for.
Now for some specifics... The Villa has built this gorgeous new ballroom with beautiful double-wooden doors that open to the patio. They opened the doors during dinner (since we opted to have our first dance and dinner inside the new ballroom, instead of outside) and we had the most amazing view. They have a few different options for where you can have your ceremony and dinner. We had our ceremony at the main ceremony site with the pillars and our dinner and reception in the ballroom. The sunset on that night, October 6, 2012, looked like God had painted it just for us. It was red and orange and was breathtaking.
I received so many compliments from all of our guests that the venue was gorgeous and perfect and the sunset was amazing. Everyone had such a great time and we are so happy with our decision to be married at the Villa. And brides, don't forget to look into doing a candy buffet and getting a Photo Booth. Both of those were a big hit at my wedding!!
I want to thank everyone at the Villa for making our wedding so beautiful and memorable. I also want to wish all you brides-to-be the best of luck finding your perfect venue, and if you are interested in a Temecula wedding, you will definitely find everything you're looking for at Villa de Amore :) read more
