My husband and I were married at Villa de Amore on December 20, 2015 and we could not be any happier than we are with our choice. We looked at two other venues and Villa de Amore was the third one (and the last!). We corresponded with David and Eileen to set up our appointment and met with Eileen the day of our appointment. When we drove up and entered Villa de Amore, it was the most beautiful venue. The long driveway made it romantic and it was private (only one wedding party per night, unlike other wineries or hotels where you have "uninvited" guests wandering around your ceremony and reception). We met with Eileen and she was such a sweetheart! She is so personable and you can tell she really gives her undivided attention to every single bride and groom, whether they book the venue or not. She took us to the bridal suite and deep down, that was the moment I knew we had to book Villa de Amore. For my husband, it was the fact that they let us bring our own alcohol (including liquor and no corkage fee) and saving us a ton of money in the end. It took us about a week to make our decision. The two choices to have the ceremony were the courtyard and the vineyard, both breath-taking in their own right. The all-inclusive package is also what drew us in; they provide your officiant or priest, DJ, florist, cake, photographer, day of coordinator, and a designer (you get a design day where you meet with Monique, who is amazing by the way, and she will help bring your vision to life with how you want your table setting, display for cake, display for the welcome board, etc.). The only two services that you must use are the caterer and the DJ. We choose to use all of their services, but brought in our photographer.
We interacted with everyone on the Villa de Amore team and the communication is beyond professional and accommodating. Once we signed our contract (it took a week for us to make a decision), and the paper work was processed, we began to receive emails from all the vendors. We spoke to David, Monique (design), Sheila (florist), Jennifer (cake), Ross (DJ), Amy (caterer), and Laura (day of coordinator). If I had to go into detail about all the wonderful services for each one, this review would turn into a grad student's dissertation. I will touch upon each with a liner or two. I want to say that due to some last minute changes, we had to add 2 seats to our final guest count, which we had already submitted weeks ago. David was very accommodating and I was so relieved that he was (I was prepared for him to say no, and I would have understood why). Monique did a great job at bringing our vision to life. We wanted a romantic, refined, and classy ambiance, look, and feel to our wedding and she went above and beyond. We met with her and showed her pictures and got to go back to their storage unit (which is like paradise) and picked what we liked and what we didn't like. When we met with Sheila, we showed her pictures of her work (these can be found on Villa de Amore's Facebook page) and showed her floral arrangements for the aisle, center pieces, and bouquets and boutonnieres. We met with Jennifer from Elegance on Display and had our cake tasting. Our cake was beautiful and tasted great! We heard from some of our guests that they came back for seconds (try the chocolate!). Ross, our DJ initially, was in constant contact with us. When we told him what music we wanted, he referred us to his associate, Miguel, who would be better suited to bring our vision to life (we really wanted it to be a party afterwards as we gave our light foam sticks as party favor). Miguel was also energetic and professional and kept our event flowing. When we went in for our food tasting, the food was delicious. There was so much food at the wedding! We had meat, fruit and cheese platter along with two choices of h'dourves. The meal consisted of caprese salad, steak or linguine, and cake for dessert, along with coffee, teas, and soda. Our guests raved about the food (catering is done in house and on site). Last but not least, we were so impressed with Laura. She was thorough and helpful, and everything that you would want in a coordinator. Having her there the day of made it possible for my husband and I to fully enjoy ourselves and not get stressed out over all the details. She is incredible and we are so thankful she came along with our contract!
If we could get married again, there would be no doubt in our mind that we would choose Villa de Amore. We would not change a single thing about our wedding day. It was everything that we could imagine - perfect. read more
