My now-husband and I just had our wedding here a couple weeks ago. We really wanted a castle-like setting, and this is by far the best one that we were able to find in California. It is magical. It's in the middle of no where and the drive is twisty. But when you get there it's all worth it and I actually liked the feeling of a destination wedding but still close enough for people to drive back to L.A. the same night if they wanted to. If not, it's only about half an hour to Temecula or Fallbrook. Cell service is spotty but I also liked that because it forced guests to put their phones down and actually be in the moment for once in today's world. You just need to warn your guests so they know what to expect. I warned ours A LOT because I didn't want anyone to miss the ceremony and only one person missed it (and they probably would've been late if it was 10 minutes from their house). The attention to detail the owners put into this place is absolutely amazing. Every time I go there I find something I didn't notice before. There are several unique areas for guests to explore. There are swans in the lake which makes it feel all that much more special. Several fun things like the "Dragon's Pub" and "Merlin's Tower", an ice cream shop, and they're currently building a pizza parlor. It was the perfect setting for our formal, "royal" wedding but with some fun twists to show who we are as a couple. And, yes, it is "closed" meaning they took their website down and aren't meeting new couples any more. But the last I talked to them it did sound like they might still book new weddings there. Maybe just if you know someone who knows someone there. It's a senior couple who owns the place and had it built to live in and they still live there. Their only full time employee who took care of the weddings had to quit unexpectedly which is when they decided to stop meeting new couples.

The staff did a great job of coordinating all the moving parts. The preparation prior to the event was thorough, with a questionnaire that we went through with the coordinator onsite. They helped us find a caterer, the DJ did a great job, the set up and take down was quick and efficient. We worked with Kendra and she was amazing, totally gracious, friendly and efficient. It made our day memorable!

To be fully honest, when we were driving to Circle Oak Ranch for our initial venue tour, we thought…read moreit would be a bust due to the windy roads and lack of street lights. However the minute we got to the parking lot and stepped into the venue, we were speechless at the vast beauty of the estate. The oak tree immediately caught our attention, and every detail we saw after that drew us in more and more. Jennifer and Ron have done an amazing job at keeping their home and venue so well kept! Their story of how they began this venue business with their own daughter's wedding is so touching, and it makes sense why they continue to invite others into their home to host such beautiful events filled with love. They actually took part in making sure everything went accordingly on our special day, and we are so glad to have met them! I thought the venue couldn't be more beautiful the day we first visited, but when the flowers bloom and the grass becomes greener... WOW! Absolutely breathtaking!!! They have done a wonderful job with their upkeep. Kendra was our lead tour guide and ended up being our wedding day coordinator, and she absolutely played a vital role in how perfect our planning journey and wedding day went. I cannot emphasize enough how well she took care of us and our bridal party - I don't think I'll ever feel the same royal treatment anywhere, anytime else for the rest of my life! She was so patient and heard us out on every question/concern, and yet so very succinct so that when time came to make a decision, we were all on top of things. She has such a sweet personality as well, you can't help but smile whenever you're working with her! The site separations make it a fluid journey for your guests, as you begin at the lowest area with the ceremony and welcome pergola, then move up to cocktail hour where the bathrooms are conveniently located centrally, and then finally the reception area where beautiful market lights are hung. I honestly fell in love with the surrounding trees and market lights - it looks so magical at nighttime! The bridal and grooms suite are spacious and had the right amount of space for us to get ready in. We had 5 bridesmaids and 5 groomsmen, and easily fit with all of our belongings. We even held a Chinese Tea Ceremony in the front of the bridal suite, no problems at all! Some other venues had a large bridal suite and a small sad room for the Groom, but that's not the case here! They had a pool table and foosball table to enjoy! Both suites also have fridges in case you have drinks you wanted to bring! With all that being said, the windy road to Circle Oak Ranch was still a worrisome thought in our minds, but with their recommendation of a Shuttle vendor, that was all resolved! All of our guests were able to utilize the shuttle pretty effortlessly, and no one had to worry about driving back home in the dark. All of their vendor recommendations were amazing - would highly suggest picking from their list because the ones we did were perfect for us! Thank you Circle Oak Ranch Team, for making our wedding PERFECT. We will treasure these memories forever!

Initially, we were scheduled to hold her special day at a venue aboard Camp Pendleton, however, with the current state of... everything... we made the decision to start looking elsewhere for a venue out in town. My daughter and I were vendors at an event a couple weeks prior and fell in love with the look and feel of the Vistonian. Once we realized that having the her party on base was no longer an option, the first place we looked was this downtown Vista gem. The location was major. Moving it off base, alleviated the stress of having to worry about guests not being able to attend due to security restrictions, there was ample parking, the venue was partially decorated in the style that we were hoping to capture, we were able to bring in our own catering, vendors were able to access and move about the venue with ease, and working with Shelly Firth made for a stress-free, accommodating, professional experience. The Vistonian Venue offers a rustic, refined, Boho, modern, minimalistic aesthetic that fit perfectly with our rustic tropical Philippines Filipina vision we had for the party. The luscious greens throughout the venue helped to minimize the amount of greenery we had to bring in to curate the vibe. The open, high ceilings with exposed beams and tasteful touches of modern wood elements also added to the ambiance we were hoping to achieve. As our coordinator, Shelly was amazing. She worked with my desired layout so that the day of the event we walked in and start setting up without hang-ups. It made it a lot easier for everyone involved in set-up on our side. During the event, the restrooms stayed clean, the trash levels were maintained, and as the go-to gal, even I was able to relax, visit with guests, and enjoy the special evening. When I share with others about the Vistonian Venue, the first thing I say is that it was truly serendipitous. It played out exactly as it should have. For it to work out the way that it did, made it better than I could have possibly imagined. Reflecting on the night, the first adjective that comes to mind is FUN. Everyone had fun, especially the birthday girl.

If you are looking for a wedding venue in South Orange County and you have come across Gold Coast farm, don't even bother looking anywhere else, make your deposit and get married here. The venue is BEAUTIFUL, all of the vegetation is maturing so nicely. Limes, lemons, grapes. It is so picturesque and if you want an outdoor fairly laid back vibe then this is your spot. Hannah worked with us on all of the details, we got plenty of opportunity to visit the farm, bring stuff early, rehearsal, and next day pickup. We got the whole kit and kaboodle with the tap truck, photo bus, umbrellas and next day cleanup. They were so flexible with us and we are so grateful to have found them. Our wedding was beautiful and perfect and I cannot stress this enough - get married here - stop looking anywhere else!

Everyone else we worked with from the venue was also incredibly accommodating & easy to work with. The venue itself is so naturally stunning and has many different sections closely connected, keeping it easy to flow from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception, while also making each portion of the event feel distinct from one another. GCF is a nonprofit, growing food sustainably and donating to local families in need- Knowing we were supporting such a great organization added an additional layer of purpose to our big day making it all the more special. We parked in the dirt lot just beyond the entrance and followed the path to an upper grassy area that was set up for the wedding. There was an arch for the bride and groom to stand beneath with spectacular mountain views behind them. After the ceremony we were directed up the hill, then down a flight of concrete stairs to a lower yard. There was an in-ground swimming pool with an attached hot tub. The pool was old enough that it had a diving board. The water in the pool was blue, but the hot tub was rust colored. It looked as though that pool hadn't been used in quite some time and needed some TLC. Just beyond the pool was a lawn where the cocktail hour was held for guests as the wedding party was having photos taken. No chairs, just a few tables to stand at and set your drink down. They also provided an archway with beautiful views behind it for photo-ops. When the cocktail hour ended, we were led down yet another dirt path to a very large grassy area where the reception was held. (It was where the bathrooms were too). Plenty of room for tables and chairs. On one end was a large dancefloor. Strings of patio lights provided subtle lighting and the views were fantastic. The pathways, staircase and grass areas were, at times, a bit precarious, especially for those wearing heels. The road to the venue is a couple of miles of two-lane, winding curves off of highway 76. Cel service is sketchy - People with Verizon as their carrier seemed to have pretty good service. If you plan to Uber/Lyft out, book in advance. If you are looking for an outdoor venue for your wedding, I would reccommend that you consider Secluded Garden Estates. That's where this fantastic venue shines! My partner in art for over 15 years and I were wisecracking the entire way there. He had done the engagement pictures for the young couple but I was going in blind although some pictures on Yelp were useful for the general setting. Upon arrival we found the wedding planner, Josh, to be upbeat and positive. By the end of the evening his organization skills left me full of appreciation- weddings and potentially like handling unstable explosives but as near as I could tell the only delay wasn't his fault. Two bungalows provide space for the groom and groomsmen and (larger of course) a nice dressing room for brides to be. This particular entourage was 6-7 on each side. Long story short, the rolling hill the grounds lie upon create a surprisingly fantastic palette for photographs and creativity. Some parts are forested with wonderful creeping vines or even an antique tractor as props. The wedding spot has a commanding view of the mountains, the path down leads alternately to the tent for the reception, or a slight divergence over to a dedicated cocktail and appetizer green with gamez to entertain old and young alike. The whole operation left me hoping to land more gigs here in the future. I found my usual penchant for spontaneous composition given light and landscape led to a pleasant day making a special occasion memorable for another happy couple.

There are simply not enough amazing things we could say about working with Bethany. Bethany had great communication and since the beginning she had quick responses to our questions which made planning our wedding very efficient. She has a lot of experience in the wedding industry and would ask us questions about things we didn't even consider. She was EXTREMELY accommodating - my husband and I are both healthcare workers who occasionally work Saturdays with changing schedules throughout the week - this never was an issue when it came to planning our wedding. The location is extremely beautiful from the daytime to sunset and even to night time with all the lights and chandeliers. There are honestly SO many locations to take beautiful photos in and this was a big factor as we wanted a variety of places for backdrop - there's a lavender field, a bridge overlooking a small pond area, and a place with a sing - this is not including the picturesque house covered in vines and the ceremony site. Additionally, all the decor in the photos below were included (even the furniture, florals, and table settings). We chose the package that included florals and Bethany (who is also a florist) went ABOVE and BEYOND with the floral arrangements and bouquets, literally making my Pinterest autumn wedding dreams come true. The day of the wedding went as smoothly as weddings can possibly go and despite it being the craziest day, it was also one of the best days of our lives. We really owe it all to Bethany and cannot rave enough about her and her team. We've heard from many of our friends who got married about something they didn't like about their wedding planning process, but honestly, working with Bethany was completely smooth, stress-free, and an efficient yet detailed process. If you are thinking about having a wedding at Willow Creek Ranch, I 1000% would recommend it. (All photos in this review are from our wonderful wedding photographer Carmelisse Photography!)
