We parked in the dirt lot just beyond the entrance and followed the path to an upper grassy area that was set up for the wedding. There was an arch for the bride and groom to stand beneath with spectacular mountain views behind them. After the ceremony we were directed up the hill, then down a flight of concrete stairs to a lower yard. There was an in-ground swimming pool with an attached hot tub. The pool was old enough that it had a diving board. The water in the pool was blue, but the hot tub was rust colored. It looked as though that pool hadn't been used in quite some time and needed some TLC. Just beyond the pool was a lawn where the cocktail hour was held for guests as the wedding party was having photos taken. No chairs, just a few tables to stand at and set your drink down. They also provided an archway with beautiful views behind it for photo-ops. When the cocktail hour ended, we were led down yet another dirt path to a very large grassy area where the reception was held. (It was where the bathrooms were too). Plenty of room for tables and chairs. On one end was a large dancefloor. Strings of patio lights provided subtle lighting and the views were fantastic. The pathways, staircase and grass areas were, at times, a bit precarious, especially for those wearing heels. The road to the venue is a couple of miles of two-lane, winding curves off of highway 76. Cel service is sketchy - People with Verizon as their carrier seemed to have pretty good service. If you plan to Uber/Lyft out, book in advance. If you are looking for an outdoor venue for your wedding, I would reccommend that you consider Secluded Garden Estates. Pala Casino Spa Resort is a short three-mile drive and a convenient place for guests to stay.

That's where this fantastic venue shines! My partner in art for over 15 years and I were wisecracking the entire way there. He had done the engagement pictures for the young couple but I was going in blind although some pictures on Yelp were useful for the general setting. Upon arrival we found the wedding planner, Josh, to be upbeat and positive. By the end of the evening his organization skills left me full of appreciation- weddings and potentially like handling unstable explosives but as near as I could tell the only delay wasn't his fault. Two bungalows provide space for the groom and groomsmen and (larger of course) a nice dressing room for brides to be. This particular entourage was 6-7 on each side. Long story short, the rolling hill the grounds lie upon create a surprisingly fantastic palette for photographs and creativity. Some parts are forested with wonderful creeping vines or even an antique tractor as props. The wedding spot has a commanding view of the mountains, the path down leads alternately to the tent for the reception, or a slight divergence over to a dedicated cocktail and appetizer green with gamez to entertain old and young alike. The whole operation left me hoping to land more gigs here in the future. I found my usual penchant for spontaneous composition given light and landscape led to a pleasant day making a special occasion memorable for another happy couple.

There are simply not enough amazing things we could say about working with Bethany. Bethany had great communication and since the beginning she had quick responses to our questions which made planning our wedding very efficient. She has a lot of experience in the wedding industry and would ask us questions about things we didn't even consider. She was EXTREMELY accommodating - my husband and I are both healthcare workers who occasionally work Saturdays with changing schedules throughout the week - this never was an issue when it came to planning our wedding. The location is extremely beautiful from the daytime to sunset and even to night time with all the lights and chandeliers. There are honestly SO many locations to take beautiful photos in and this was a big factor as we wanted a variety of places for backdrop - there's a lavender field, a bridge overlooking a small pond area, and a place with a sing - this is not including the picturesque house covered in vines and the ceremony site. Additionally, all the decor in the photos below were included (even the furniture, florals, and table settings). We chose the package that included florals and Bethany (who is also a florist) went ABOVE and BEYOND with the floral arrangements and bouquets, literally making my Pinterest autumn wedding dreams come true. The day of the wedding went as smoothly as weddings can possibly go and despite it being the craziest day, it was also one of the best days of our lives. We really owe it all to Bethany and cannot rave enough about her and her team. We've heard from many of our friends who got married about something they didn't like about their wedding planning process, but honestly, working with Bethany was completely smooth, stress-free, and an efficient yet detailed process. If you are thinking about having a wedding at Willow Creek Ranch, I 1000% would recommend it. (All photos in this review are from our wonderful wedding photographer Carmelisse Photography!)

This was an early birthday gift to myself, and honestly, nothing could have been more meaningful. Our group was led by the founder, Wendy, along with another amazing educator whose name I regretfully don't remember. Both were absolutely wonderful, you could feel how much they care for and understand each animal through the knowledge, enthusiasm, and respect they shared with us. The groups are small, maxing out at eight people, which makes the experience feel personal and intimate. Before the otter swim, we met about seven other animals, including a sloth, capybaras, fennec foxes, ring-tailed lemurs, and more. We were even able to feed, pet, and interact up close with many of them, which made the tour around the property both educational and heartwarming. And then of course, the highlight of the day: the Otter Swim. We got to spend time in the water with three playful otters, and I can now officially say I've petted an otter (flat hand, of course)! They had no concept of personal space, swimming all around us, climbing on our arms, and using us as launch pads back into the water. Watching them play and interact up close was beyond adorable. It was truly a 10/10 (or more like 1,000,000/10) experience, and I would--and hopefully will be back again someday. The only drawback is the on site account manager who did not manage my booking correctly and there is a balance of $160 due to be returned to me + my Christmas groceries and gifts that were removed from the fridge and from my room, $250 groceries & $1000 in Xmas gifts and linens. I understand this was a mistake on the part of the housekeeper and / or account manager as they thought I had left. in fact I traveled to The Mission Inn, Riverside for 2 nights for the holiday festivities and I left a voice mail on the Lazy H Ranch machine to say I will return. I prepaid for my entire visi at Lazy H which was for 3-4 during the Christmas holidays of 2024. I would like to host a conference at this location for my former students from Woodbury University in the future. I suggest a clear written agreement for the 'Lazy H Ranch rental rooms or cottages' is printed with an invoice, statement of services to be provided and then a printed or emailed for payments received. I suggest a print out on the Inn bedroom doors stating rates, fire safety and emergency contacts along with instructions for operating the heating; A/C ; the WiFi., and television. understandably the SDG&E were having power outages for testing their systems during my stay so for 3 or 4 days there was no power or hot water, the Manager provided extra blankets and a discount. It was peaceful on those day s as the restaurant was closed. I traveled to visit Glen Ivy in Corona for a bath and to access internet to send messages home. When these minor issues are addressed the 'Lazy H Ranch' will be one of the finest establishments in California. 2024 - 2025 Xmas & New Year 3 week stay. Juliette Robina Howay M. .

Sitting at the bar feels oddly enclosed and lifeless. Even with open windows, the atmosphere comes across as closed off and quiet in an uncomfortable way, more empty banquet hall than inviting restaurant. Each time, the place felt dead. Service at the bar was also lacking. The bartender was frequently away talking with servers, leaving us waiting a long time for drinks despite how slow the restaurant was. The food was equally underwhelming. The sides that are often praised, including the twice-baked potato, tasted like frozen, reheated items rather than something freshly made. The meat itself was mediocre and forgettable, with nothing that stood out. We really wanted to like this place and gave it multiple chances, but after three visits, we're genuinely confused by the hype.

He walked us through the app he uses to help identify key songs (first dance, entrance, etc.) and he nailed the specific song queues that I envisioned, so much so that there was nothing different than what I imagined would happen and what did; it was so perfect. Our dance floor was packed with people the whole night and transitions from song to song were fluid and seamless.
