My boyfriend ordered a triple decker cheeseburger and found a hair in it and he said it was bland. I ordered an eggplant parm hoagie and the eggplant was barely cooked, and barely had any sauce. It was pretty pricey too. Was charged .75 for a thing of ranch that was enough for 3 fries. The man at the register asked if everything was ok and said "ehhh" and he said, it was just ok and I said yes and he didn't ask why or seem to care. Will not return again. read more

I won't go again. I don't like the homefries so I ordered eggs and toast with a side of scrapple. The waitress took it upon herself to add homefries and charged me for the higher priced breakfast. If you do decide to eat here be sure to be careful of what you order and are charged for if they bring things to your table that are not exactly what you ordered. read more

Great diner, in my opinion the best one in the area. Actual Greek diner with actual good Greek food with ( I'm assuming) actual Greek people running things. Good gyros, spanokopita, decent moussaka. Great soups and sandwiches, and really good breakfast food too. Really I've never had reason to complain about the food they do it all justice. read more

Ate there on Sunday morning for the first time in years. The prices were higher than the area in general and the food was certainly not worth it. The days of being an award winning restaurant are long gone. The waitress brought the wrong omelet to my companion. The food was hot and came out quickly but was just ordinary at best. The coffee was bitter and also overpriced. I would recommend the chain restaurants over this dinner any time. The bathrooms were dated and there were no paper towels to open the doors. I got the Homemade Veggie Burger, and it was absolutely INCREDIBLE. Cooked just right, and it was huge, the biggest I've ever got at any restaurant. In between lightly toasted buns that were tasty in of themselves, and I have to add that the tomatoes were fresh and nice and thick. It also came with an enormous heap of the most delicious french fries I've had in a long time. And even a pickle (not a small circle pickle, a long cut pickle). You absolutely get your money's worth (the prices are very low anyway), in quantity AND quality. I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody. read more

Always passing by, my fiancé and I finally decided to go try it out. I was extremely excited for the Greek food and him loving his breakfast all day was a plus as well. We were taken care of really quick. As soon as we sat down the waitress took our drink order. She came back about 3 seconds later with our drinks and asked what we wanted. We weren't ready yet, I still haven't even opened my menu I was only getting situated in my seat. She came back again within 2 minutes and asked for our order yet again. My fiancé ordered and I just ordered after him. I ordered a falafel flatbread with fries and chicken soup and he ordered a corn beef and hash with biscuits and gravy. About 10 minutes later our food is tossed onto our table. I got my flatbread and he got his whole order. I still haven't gotten soup. My food was cold and my fiancées food was burnt. The flatbread was literally a cold flatbread with veggies falafel and Tahiti sauce on top. I had to eat with a fork and didn't even bother with the bread. The fries were amazing! At that time the waitress rushes by tapping on our table and asked if we were still good...without actually stopping at our table or anything. Still- no soup. My fiancé doesn't eat his hash because it's burnt and the gravy was just ok. We are finally done with the food and the waitress comes by and hands us the check. I notified her that I haven't gotten my soup at all or even had a mention of it...and she just looked down at me made a "sad face" and said oh. I'm sorry. Didn't ask if I wanted it or anything. So I just said don't worry. I don't want it anymore anyway. Thanks for asking. It would've been nice to actually get a discount or something on the food. But I guess not. Since they are hiring, I hope they hire people that actually care about others. Don't know if we will give this another chance. read more

We stopped overnight in Scranton as part of our travels. At 8 pm, we were looking for a simple non-chain bite. The front desk clerk at our hotel recommended the diner. It was a short drive from our hotel. We were seated quickly! We ordered from the senior menu as we are both over 55. I had a delicious bowl of chicken noodle soup and 1/2 turkey sandwich. I was not looking for anything fancy. My husband ordered a stuffed flounder dish and was pleased. Pudding was part of the deal. Both the tapioca and rice puddings were good, not great, but satisfying. Our waitress was busy but provided what we needed. Our experience was as expected. I would go back but order simply again based on other reviews. Cleanliness was not an issue. It was a bit noisy but not a problem for us. read more

For what it is, it is a pretty good place to eat. Their breakfast is always delicious. We have had a few different lunch/dinner items as well and they are always good. The chicken and cheese panini is one of my favorite sandwiches I've ever had. Their gyros are very good, too. We love most of the staff, as well. I am Greek and I am embarrassed that this dive is called a "Greek" diner serving "authentic" Greek food. Their version of gyros is FAR from what a real Greek gyro is (if they think using frozen, boxed meat slices of crap is authentic gyro meat, they are sadly mistaken). My boyfriend ordered a gyro and they had the nerve to charge him an extra $1 for a tiny helping of hot sauce on the side. They actually charged extra for ANY sauces, including the "sadtziki" (Greek yogurt sauce). We didn't even think we would get charged for it until the check came and we saw all these extras on it. The waitress was decent as far as being personable but we should have been told that we would be charged for every little thing. Spinach pie was passable but I've tasted better from other REAL Greek diners. I don't care if the owners ARE Greek....they are insulting our culture by passing off sub-par food as authentic Greek cuisine. Seems like they only want to cater to the local yokels of the area who truly don't know better. The only thing truly delectable on their menu was the desserts. read more

No way in hell am I going back! I ordered 6 meatballs. I got a little "boat" of large meatballs and cheese and barely any sauce. The meatballs tasted like yesterday's dry meatloaf....and the cheese was like rubber. The pirate's plate looked so lacking... while that can be blamed on their presentation for the most part, I should have followed my instinct after the appetizer and my glass. The glass I had tasted like soap... the appetizer mixer consisted of 2 puney chicken tenders, 2 mini perogies and 2 small cheese sticks. I would have spent less on 3 boxes full of each and would have complained about less too. The check... hmmmm apparently 2 meatballs are $3 each... well OK, knew that, but my order was$12... when I asked... oh, cheese was $3. My boat of meatballs was more than the seafood plate ~ wtf? The total, 2 waters, 1 coffee, appetizer mixer, 1 seafood platter, 6 flippin meatballs and a double order of short stacks (6 pancakes)...$45.05... not a diner, a ripoff!!!!! read more
