The food was really good and very quant location. The waiter was very pleasant and on top of things. There is a good ambiance here. It has an old market/bar feel. The only thing that surprised me was when you walk in to the right is unused area and things are sitting around on a spare bar. Such as napkins, boxes. It needs cleaned up or at least hidden. The left side is the working area that gives all the feels. Parking is street parking but they have a small shared parking lot to the right of the building across the street. We came here on a Wednesday morning. It was a little hard to find and parking was on street but it was adorable. The awnings outside welcome you and the gorgeous wood and gleaming bar feel so homey. The waitress was as sweet as could be. She was funny and helped me decide. I got "The Poppy" and she got "Riley's Sunrise Pita" and a side of hash browns. The has browns were actual (delicious!) potatoes and my sandwich and her pita were both fresh and delicious. We got a piece of chocolate crunch cake to go, the entire bill was $38. This restaurant is not only beautiful inside and out, the food is delicious! I ordered the Jack Ash burger and it had so much flavor that I didn't have to drench it in ketchup (like I usually have to do with the burgers I eat). The burger had a little kick of spiciness, from the chipotle mayo, which I loved! The bun was perfectly toasted and the beef patty was a very generous portion. Ate here this morning for the first time ever, and i will definitely be back. Everything we ordered was very good. We had the Basket of Four biscuits, which were warm and fluffy and came with a whipped butter. There were packaged jams and jellies on the table but it was plenty good with just the butter. Then i got the Southern Poached Eggs, which was fanatastic. The 2 eggs were poached perfectly, and the cheesy grits they were on top of had so much flavor! It came with just the right amount if sauteed spinach so the grits were not overwhelmed. With the crumbled bacon and chives, it really makes a perfect breakfast bite. The sausage patty i got with it complimented it well. Hot sauce was offered, but the amazing cheddar flavor of the grits had so much depth, no sauce was needed. My wife got the Morning Nap special, 3 eggs over easy, with a sausage patty (or bacon) home fries and buttered toast. Everything cooked just right. With coffee and juice, there is nothing to complain about. They sell coffee and the cappuccino was creamy and rich .... the best I ever tasted. This was my second visit and I definitely will return. It still retains some of the early 20th century feel with its tin ceilings and wainscoting. This Café and eatery is open Monday-Saturday 8-2. Besides breakfast and lunch specials, they offer homemade desserts and drink specials, such as almond and oat milk, various lattes, teas and Chai. My friend had a turkey club, while I indulged in an AVA sandwich, grilled chicken breast, prosciutto, goat cheese, provolone on artisan roll with apricot jam. Accompanied w/Greek salad. Bubba's Breakfast Burger! My finished plate pic says enough. Over easy egg, bacon, cheese, and their handmade burger. I modified it by saying no bread or sides, just the core nutrient dense goodness components. Fork and knife with the yolk as the sauce, amazing flavors baby! Love the old school atmosphere and sitting at the bar is my style. So you get the best service, she was fast and had amazing communication. I will return on my next business trip to Scranton. Nothing is more disappointing than wasting calories on mediocre food. The raving reviews got me hyped up on trying some delicious food in a cozy atmosphere of this family-owned establishment. Upon walking in, we smelled promising aromas of hot food cooking on a snowy January Saturday. Clean, simple, casual atmosphere. Pleasant enough. At 9:30am, the place had a few tables filled. Social distancing and all other safety protocols are followed. Staff were friendly and quick. Food was cooked quickly. We were craving burgers [I know, at 9:30am? but the descriptions looked tantalizing], but unfortunately the lunch menu would be served only at noon. We ordered $9 portobello and the $8 murazzi omelets, with sides of bacon [3 strips for $3] and home potatoes [$3]. What a disappointment, I wanted to cry. The omelets were completely bland, dry, and lackluster. I didn't taste anything--it was as if I was eating cardboard, not eggs. Zero seasoning or taste. The ingredients were not even mixed into the eggs--it was as if the omelets were pre-made and then just heated up while being folded in two with addition of the extra ingredients in the folded omelet. We got the murazzi with feta [for which we were charged extra without being alerted] and that was A BIG mistake. We just had pieces of dry sausage and feta inside the folded omelet. So tasteless. Get a cheese that melts and binds the meat. The murazzi sausage was nothing special. Just a typical, low quality, fast-food, over salted sausage. The home potatoes were burned and bland. Bacon was over processed and I felt my arteries clogging up with every bite. To rectify the damage, we got $11 bella's belgian waffle sandwich. However, it was bad as well. Same oversalty sausage, bland egg, mediocre waffle. The only saving grace [if you dare it call it so] was the tub of maple syrup in which we drowned that waffle sandwich. Sugar fixes everything, but here, it took a lot of highly processed maple syrup to amend the deplorable situation. Very sad that our meal was so disappointing. What a find! We started the morning looking for breakfast and went to a large chain diner. They were packed and not moving customers in or out so we took to Yelp for help. Mansour's Market is a lovely cafe in an old apothecary- style building with tons of charm. We were seated immediately and the service was casual but attentive and very professional. We missed the breakfast menu but I settled on a nice brunch item - quiche with potato, scallion and cheddar. I love quiche for lunch and make it often. I have never had a deep dish quiche like this that was so creamy and smooth. The texture of the custard was amazing and the flaky crust was buttery and tender. The tart balsamic vinaigrette on the side salad that accompanied it was the perfect foil to the rich pie. My other half had the chicken gyro. Tender chunks of chicken with a tangy tatziki and veggies. It was good as well. But the showstopper here is the Granana - a banana half coated in peanut butter, rolled in granola then drizzled with dried cranberries and honey. So simple but so tasty. It almost seemed healthy! How have I never seen this before? Overall an excellent experience. I am sure breakfast and dinner are just as solid. I highly recommend Mansour's. read more

I started off with the chili and on a nice windy cold day it'll be the perfect starter. I then moved onto The Manci. It's a grilled chicken sandwich and it was great in size and even better in taste. i'm not one to shine light on negative things, but this hurt me after three years of working at (Mansours) I was completely utterly disrespected on Saturday by the owner Carolyn Catalano and her brother Michael Baldi a fellow server, during our Saturday morning busy shift Michael's wife calls the restaurant phone. I'll tell her that it's busy and ask if Michael john can call her back and when i get to him, i then let Michael know that she called. three hours later, Michael then proceeds to come behind the bar yelling at me telling me that if his wife calls, I am to bring the phone right over to him or put it on hold until he is ready to answer her. This is the restaurant phone we are talking about. at this time I am responsible of taking take out orders/ me to order coffee drinks/ and customers sitting at the bar. Michael john then continue to harass me for about 30 minutes coming behind the bar telling me that I didn't understand the power dynamic and that he was above me and that if his wife calls that I need to drop anything and everyone that I am helping to bring him the phone. remind you, his wife is not ordering pick up. She is not ordering takeout. She's not placing an order for food and she is calling on the restaurant phone just to talk to michael. Michael then proceeds to tell me that I am terminated and that I need to leave right away, I the brought this matter to the owner carolyn she then said that she did not want to deal with the drama and I said I didn't want to deal with the harassment so then she told me to just leave. And then reached out to carolyn not only Saturday after the event Sunday Monday and I did not hear back from her until Tuesday in which she stuck by Michael john's decision to terminate me. This breaks my heart. 3 years working there. it hurts that I'm never going to serve the customers there again, so if you are reading this as one of my customers that I had a personal relationship with, please feel free to reach out to me. Found this while driving through and what a delightful place to stop. I love the nostalgic atmosphere and decor. The corn fritters are huge! Definitely homemade. Got to try. I had the waffle sandwich with sausage. Perfect balance of sweet and savory. The poached eggs over the grits was a favorite. The grits were creamy. Rating: 3.5 stars I came here for a meal with my mother. When we arrived, the host asked us to wait for several minutes, which we did (although there were tables open). After about five minutes, he lead us to our table. We looked at the menu, and I was dismayed to not see breakfast options. About five minutes after we were seated, our server finally arrived and confirmed that we were too late for breakfast (breakfast is served until 11:00 on weekdays). I was disappointed in this, but found something to order- the special quiche. I also ordered water with lemon. When the server brought our drinks, my water was missing the lemon but she left pretty quickly after putting down the drinks (this was her common behavior throughout the meal- basically a drop and dash). I decided to order another drink before my meal came, but to do so I had to flag the server down because she was not checking in at our table. My second drink (a chai latte with almond milk) was served quickly and was delicious. Both my mother and I enjoyed our meals. The quiche was light and fluffy, but all the beans, salsa, and cheese had sunk to above the crust. The side salad was good, but heavy on the onions. About 20-25 minutes after our entrees were served, there was no sign of our server and we needed to leave. I held the check in my hand (my elbow on the table- not saving the check around) hoping that the server would see it. The host saw and came over to take the payment (which included a Visa gift card and cash). He then didn't return. My mother inquired if she needed to sign anything and he said yes, but then gave her the customer copy (no signature space). He then couldn't find the restaurant copy so we left without signing (or receiving the gift card back- which is sometimes needed for returns, even though it had a $0 balance).
