I love going to the Tioga Bistro when I'm back in town; I grew up here but we never had any cool little restaurants like this one downtown as a kid. Im in the area for work and made a special trip into town just to have lunch. Great food at a fair price. Today I had a large bowl of pumpkin soup.......amazing. Followed by my favorite Bus 22 sandwich, ham and apple butter. I took a salted Carmel brownie along for dessert. Service is always fast and friendly. The interior is a little dimly lit, so I have to wear my glasses to read the menu. On street parking out front. If you are traveling on either 29 or 6, plan to have lunch in Tunkhannock! read more

They are super nice in there they have amazing food and service they are also pretty quick with there service the only thing I would change is putting less of the couch seats and more normal ones cause it's kinda hard to eat when eating at those but they are over all a great and fun place to go read more

Great place - the people, the space, the food! The lunch menu had so many interesting sounding items it was hard to choose. We went with the El Toro (Roasted angus beef, creamy horseradish sauce, lettuce & red onion marmalade on ciabatta) and a half Bonnie Pastrami (hot pastrami sandwich topped with melted Swiss cheese & spicy mustard on grilled rye) with a side salad. Both were delicious. With 2 coffees before tip, the bill came to around $21. Well worth another visit. read more

Wish I found this place sooner!! To start I got an iced coffee with their new cookies and cream syrup. It was so good!! I wish their iced coffee's were a little bigger though. It was served in a coffee cup, but iced coffee's usually served in something bigger. The mushroom soup was delicious, I'm coming back just for the soup. I got the Ma Byrnes sandwich. I didn't realize the chicken would be a tuna like constancy, but it was really good. The homemade dip they give you with the chips was ok, a bit too salty for my liking. I also got a piece of apple pie with their pumpkin whip cream and that was delicious as well. read more

I am a regular here and have never been disappointed in their service or food. The menu has its regular offerings but there are daily specials to mix it up a bit. My self indulgence is tiramisu that is big enough to share with someone lucky enough that day. For a small town this place the Bistro has big approval ratings from the locals. read more

Stopped here with our family group (three couples and one small child) while driving through the area. Loved the variety of sandwiches, salads and quiche on the menu. Also loved that pretty much any of the sandwiches, salads, or soups could be paired for the 1/2 and 1/2 combo. Service was great - friendly and attentive. Good coffee, too. This is my favorite place in Tunkhannock, PA to get lunch and breakfast. They always have a good special in addition to their great sandwich menu. They usually have three or so soups available, all of which seem to be made fresh every day. There is also a good selection of different salads although I have never tried any of those. The place is sort of trendy but very comfortable. I have on several occasions, and purchased breakfast sandwiches for some of my customers. They do an outstanding job making the sandwiches. I also noticed that they now serve a quiche and soup special. read more

I can't even put into words how obsessed with this place I am. I travel to this area frequently for work & they never disappoint. The service and food are always excellent. I'm always greeted by the workers instantly, they're so sweet. I'd recommend the Turkey Tunkhannock sandwich! Stopped for lunch while driving thru the area. Very cute place and the staff were very friendly and professional. Wife had a so so pastrami sandwich, I think she was expecting a NY deli style sandwich which it was not. I had a wrap that was tasty but was grilled on the outside and cold on the inside. Sides were good and the take out coffee very nice. Overall the menu was very interesting and would go back to try other sandwiches. Love the town so we will be back. Stopped in for lunch on a whim and came back the next day for breakfast. Really can't say enough about how amazing the sandwiches and coffee were. We had the El Toro and Sweet Chili Chicken sandwiches and came back for breakfast sandwiches on ciabatta. The sandwiches were filling, the bread was extremely flavorful and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant. Only minor issue was that our orders took a little longer than expected. The wait is worth it and backed by the quality of the food, but it's something to consider if you're grabbing takeout and/or have small children waiting for you to return. We'll definitely make this a regular stop when we visit family in the area. read more

The Bistro is a cool little spot in Tunk. The lobster bisque, ma Byrnes, and Tunkhannock turkey are all favorites. I don't recommend the icing with the pretzel (when the icing is heated it separates strangely). The Dip for the chips is amazing. The service is friendly but because it seems they all share tips and sections don't seem to be defined sometimes it gets a little confusing or you feel like the server forgets to come check up on you. Also I wish the hours went later like they used to, not working in town I wish I could catch them for dinner.
