Party trays... Large hoagies cut into 1/4's. Italian, turkey, veggie and mixed cheese.
Sari Marissa G.

3.5 Stars. While these may be the best hoagies in the area, they are not the best hoagies. Coming from a city with Primos Hoagies and Sarcones rolls, it's hard to really live up to those standards so depending on what you're used to, your gauge may be different. This used to be a go to stop for us when in the area. The hoagies and rolls were pretty darn good so we decided to order them for our daughter's party we threw at the state park. We figured it was easier than grilling. I called several times to see if they would deliver since we had a larger order. They wouldn't. Period. It kind of turned me off. We were willing to pay a decent delivery fee too just to make our morning of errand running for the party easier. They said they only deliver to businesses. We were ordering for 25 people. Up there that's about the size of a business, but it was still a no. Anyway, we picked up the hoagie trays which is 8 large hoagies cut into 1/4 pieces per tray and they were sent the wrong dome lids so they wrapped our trays with Saran but it was starting to come off. Not a huge deal and not their fault I just expected to really be able to keep them fresh and the flies away especially since out party was outside. The Italian and turkey were stuffed but the cheese was lacking and the veggies were strictly lettuce and tomato. Our guests wondered if the meat had fallen off. I expected grilled veggies or peppers or something. People ate them and enjoyed them. The turkey is my husband's favorite. He likes it a lot. They sent all the fixings we asked for separate which was great. Every last one of them went and it was definitely easier than cooking ourselves, but I probably wouldn't order for a party again unless I ask specifically about making the cheese more filled and ask for specific ingredients in the veggie. Stick to whole single hoagies and skip the veggie. Cash only. Their new location in Clarks Summit opens late summer 2016.

The unmistakable sign welcoming you to Dixon's Hoagie Hut.

Great hoagies on amazingly fresh bread. If you're in Factoryville drive the extra 5 minutes from Subway to eat here!

Great hoagies. Reasonable prices. But sometimes the order isn't correct. You always have to check before leaving.

The staff is always super friendly, efficient, and make it just a great experience every time! We are truly obsessed with jersey mikes!

We order from jersey mikes a lot. Last week they completely turned me off. I ordered online and…read morewhen i got the store my order wasn't ready. First time ever. I waited a few minutes then asked where my order was and onduty female manager said it would be ready soon. Meanwhile this annoying couple was shooting videos of the workers telling them how this job would give them skills that will last a lifetime. It went on and on. I asked a second time when would my order be ready and the same manager said a few minutes. Finally my order is ready and this annoying couple is still giving life advice. I get home and both my subs were wrong!. I called the store and spoke with the lady manager and was told they were out of wheat bread. So why didn't you say that when i was at the store?. Probably because they dont want anyone to complain just take it and go. The second subs was not what ordered at all. We went back and forth about giving me a refund and some crap about because it was a online order they cant refund. Totally unacceptable! The manager lady had a bad attitude towards me and really just wanted me to hang up and go away. Left with no option I settled for them making the correct sub and I threw the other in the trash. The entire staff seem to be in disarray under this manager. I never had a problem before but this experience was so frustrating I won't go back.

Has the house salad with a champagne vinaigrette. Also yummy nummy. Stayed away from dessert have to watch that sugar intake. Saw Google's review for this place, claims "They Highlight fair prices - & provide 'caring'…read moreservice". What?!! I'm still laughing at those two huge lies, after my wife & I experienced the most arrogant smug gouging restaurant rip-off act we saw in years. So thought we'd try this place again after we liked their Fish & Chips dinner 'bout a year ago, which was ~$15 dollars. The place was nearly empty despite above average temps on a Saturday w/ about 2 tables occupied. Waitress was very nice & we ordered the exact same Fish meal even though the price on the menu was a shocking near 40% higher @ $22, which you can see on Twig's website. (I'm thinking am I in Maine ordering Lobster?) Both meals come w/ 2 beer battered fish, small 1/2 cup of coleslaw & about 10 french fries. Meal was served & fish was very good white fish. Asked waitress for some Tabasco sauce which 95% of restaurants naturally accommodate, she replied saying they have another hot sauce & I said OK. She brought out a small metal tin of a few spoons of some kind of red sauce, never saying what it was. After tasting it was just like Red Hot sauce, the low-priced salty product sold in big bottles. Cole slaw was excellent, the few fries on the plate were rather thin. So though the actual fish was good, the deep fried batter was very thin yet extremely hard to bite through - like trying to bit thru plasticized resin like Formica, the hard countertop mat'l. How on earth does beer, egg, & flour get so hard just from frying, like it was fried @ 600 deg's. Not wanting to waste our half-a-$100, we struggled w/ the rock-hard peanut brittle-like batter. Waitress never asked if we wanted more water (didn't order drinks - we don't like sugar & I don't drink alcohol while driving), later she brought our check. Glanced at it & the $50 total seemed high, then I saw she charged $23 per meal, ~5% higher than as stated on their menu! Inflation is so rampant in Tunkhannock that food is rising 5% per hour?! More outrageous, they had the sheer cheap-audacity to charge 90 cents(!) for a couple teaspoons of hot sauce, while all other restaurants simple throw a big bottle of a known brand on the table!! How abusive, & waitress of course never told us we'd be charged an extortion fee per teaspoon of hot sauce! They no longer have salt/pepper on the tables: what's next, gonna charge per grain of salt or flakes of pepper? No wonder the restaurant was empty in prime weekend time. So I couldn't wait to ask the waitress Why the menu clearly says $22 for fish meal but we get charged $23. She answered in a bizarre fashion, with a blank look saying "Ehh, what?, jee, I have no idea (of course) - the menu says $22???!" I replied yes, it does. She continued the clueless routine as if it was her first day of employment at Twigs & he boss hadn't yet showed her the menu, or didn't know they had a menu. Make no mistake: I'm anything but cheap. I spend big $$ on business class flights, expensive coffee beans, etc. But there's one thing I Do Not tolerate is Lies & Fraud, including false advertising & fraudulent menu prices. Twig's arrogance charging an xtra secret $1.00 extortion tax just to sprinkle a Tblsp of hot sauce on your food is despicable - how dare I want to enjoy a teaspoon of hot sauce on my fish in America! What's next - they'll measure the total oxygen we breath in their building & charge us by the molecule? The good news is after we walked out, Thank God we NEVER have to be abused by their cut-throat fraudulent menu prices nor be taxed for simple condiments even fast food restaurants provide for Free! Will never give them another chance to lie to fraud us. How sad Tunkhannock has declined since the pre-Fracking days. The Fracker's promised to turn Tunkhannock into an economic powerhouse like never before seen by mankind; instead it's a food desert & you have to pack a lunch when you go there cause wonderful Gabel's Bakery is long gone and the only 'food' choices are Dunkin Donuts at one end & McDonald's at the other, both of which are sadly much better choices than the fake menu Extortion Palace they call Twigs. "They Highlight Fair Prices" says Google - Bhaa Haa LOL!! I'll be laughing all week at that one!
