Oh and it's PITCH BLACK!!!! I mean zero lights in the parking lot. So as you're walking to your car with not seeing your hand in front of your face all while dealing with dirt and rock? Good luck. Oh and the pizza was so so. We had the sausage special. Well I'd say the sausage wasn't existent!!! Waitress was awesome btw

My blueberry cran mule was tasty (hate copper mugs, but what are you going to do). I ordered an appetizer at the same time as the cocktail. When she brought my cocktail she asked if I decided on a meal. After requesting recommendation between fish & chips or chicken marsala, and being told the fish was very crunchy, i went for the fish. Of course, my salad arrived before my stuffed mushrooms (which were the highlight of the evening). My fault, I should never order dinner before the appetizer arrives. Menu items are generally in the $30 and above range, so I can be excused for expecting better. Not sure if the ranch is made in-house, but it's was excellent. Then the fish arrived. This huge piece of fish, can't tell you what type, and not crunchy at all. The fries were delicious. So, for a $55 check, I was pretty underwhelmed.

It's a bit of a haul from Elmira, but whenever we're driving through Tunkhannock and they're open, we stop. At this point it's become part of the trip. The funny part is that I'm usually the one who orders something different every time we go to a restaurant. My husband is the creature of habit. At Twigs, we switch roles. He tries a different wrap or burger every visit. I don't even look at the menu anymore. The 501 Salad with rare steak and extra champagne dressing has ruined me for everything else. I know exactly what's coming, and I don't want anything different. It starts with a pear raspberry martini that tastes better than it has any right to. If someone could bottle summer without making it sweet or syrupy, this would be it. Then the salad shows up, and somewhere between the steak and the dressing you stop thinking about what else you could have ordered. By the time you've cleaned the plate, dessert feels unnecessary. Not because you're full. Because the meal already gave you what dessert is supposed to. A good restaurant makes good food. A great one makes you look forward to the drive. Twigs does that.

The meal experience there was genuinely impressive, especially with a menu that felt both comforting and creative. My table ordered a good variety of items to try, including a chicken salad, mushroom pizza, the blooming fries, a chicken ala vodka sandwich, and the chicken caprese sandwich. The chicken salad was fresh and well-balanced, not overly heavy and flavorful. The mushroom pizza was delicious! Earthy, rich, and had a nice crisp crust that held up well. The blooming fries were absolutely amazing, crispy on the outside and soft inside, I would describe it as yummy French onion soup tasting and with their boom boom sauce on top, it made them a favorite to be shared. The sandwiches were also strong across the board. The chicken ala vodka sandwich had a bold, savory profile, while the chicken caprese sandwich brought a lighter, fresher contrast with its combination of tomato, mozzarella, and chicken done right. Overall, everything was very satisfying, and without a doubt worth a visit. The quality across all these different dishes stayed consistently high. 100% recommended for anyone looking for a solid meal.

So clearly it's very popular. I had the chicken cheesesteak wrap, and the mozzarella triangles. Both were well done. However, that wrap was to die for and cooked just perfectly. So tender, cheesy, salty, the crispy pressed tortilla... You all do know what you're doing when it comes to food, I will say that. Which is something I rarely say about the area on the whole when I come to visit my family. The only problem this time was that we were being harassed by flies. During our dining, there were at least four flies that kept surrounding the table which we were swatting off on a regular basis. I know that is something that is challenging to control in a restaurant space but please try to take care of it. It made dining very challenging and there are very simple solutions to deal with this. It's not like we were eating outdoors. I will most definitely be back. But please, kill the flies.
