Rarely in my travels do I encounter such a cute coffee spot that deserves a special shout out, but Blackwatch Cafe is worth a caffeine fix detour when traveling through the Scranton area. The unique vibe hits you as soon as you walk in, as there's decor worth a look in almost every direction. It's a tasteful collection of fixtures, pictures, and figures of all kinds. There is parking nearby the cafe, and the place offers a walk up window should you wish to sit on the patio outside or grab a drink to take for a stroll in the park. I ordered an iced mocha latte (half sweet), and it was prepared to perfection with a smooth taste and just the right amount of sweetness, and no hints of bitterness. It was probably the best iced mocha drink I've had in over a year. Service from the several ladies working there was really friendly. All in all, Blackwatch Cafe was a top notch cafe experience for me, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend others give them a visit when visiting Scranton. It's definitely the kind of coffee shop the world could use more of, offering a quality product, as well as a unique cafe experience. The park offers a wonderful place to stroll as well.

We discovered Zummo's last year and have been back each time we're in as the coffee and pastries are fantastic. The drinks are very flavorful and we've enjoyed bringing home some bagged coffee as well. The pastries have been excellent as well and we try to get something new each time (all of which have been delicious). It's wonderful to see Scranton have such a nice local coffeeshop and we hope they continue being great for years to come!
