So glad to discover this place. Small and cozy place. Lots of pick up orders, however we decide to eat in. Service provided by Andrew was phenomenal both with over the telephone and with walk in. Andrew was pleasant and professional to all customers he encountered. He even check in on us which we did not expect. We ordered the summer spring rolls as appetizer and the chicken with rice plate which was so good, the chicken was crispy and juicy. We wanted to try other appetizer such as the papaya and/or mango salad, however that was only provided for party tray order which we were a little disappointed Maybe they will offer that in the near future. Was in the area and decided to try this and see how viet/Asian food tastes in the Phoenix/Tempe area. Surprising food isn't bad -- there is a lot of viet food around the area ... now the search is to find a good Chinese restaurant/dim sum/ Japanese sushi /ramen/ Korean place is on! We got the vermicelli with grilled chicken and grilled pork, as well as spicy garlic noodles with 1 Vietnamese coffee and 1 spring roll (with shrimp and pork). Vermicelli- came with one egg roll. It was pretty good. Spicy garlic noodles - wasn't my dish but based on my sample bite-- the shrimp was crunchy on the outside and just enough flavor. Holy smokes! After taking my first sip of the Vietnamese iced coffee, my eyes popped out like anime because it was SO amazing!!! Must get that every time from now on. The grilled chicken Bahn Mi I got with fried egg was high quality and delicious too! And this is coming from someone who usually doesn't like Vietnamese food. The bread that they use for the Bahn Mis has really soft but balanced texture, like a Dutch Crunch but not so sharp that you hurt the roof of your mouth by the time you finish eating the sandwich! The minimalist menu allows the restaurant to do everything well. I've tried all versions of the Bahn Mi sandwich and all are fabulous. My wife raved over the vermicelli salad. I'm very impressed with their bread supplier. Prices are very reasonable and every time I've been there the wait for my food has been completely reasonable. If you want to compare to Lee's sandwich shop, I think Vietshack does a better sandwich, with the caveat that they have fewer choices. read more

Crispy chicken fried rice is my go to. Their bánh mì is insanely good! I've tried other dishes on the menu and I am so impressed with everything I ordered. I've become a regular ordering food 3-4 times a week for me and my family. It's convenient, the price is unbeatable, the service is excellent. My favorite item was the lotus root salad. I've never had lotus root, but the way it was prepared was great! We drive out of our way now to get this amazing food. The owner is so wonderful and remembers us every time we visit. I love the vermicelli bowl because it is light and refreshing while still leaving me full and my husband gets the spicy garlic shrimp noodles. From the main dishes to the sauce for the egg rolls all of their food is made with so much love and flavor. We take our food to go now since we normally grab it while heading home, their area to dine in is so calm and clean. We will continue to come here for our favorite Vietnamese comfort food. I think the next time I'll try the pork vermicelli. The photos look sooo delicious. Been a while since I've been able to make it back, been craving it for weeks! I was about to make the dreaded Trip to Costco today so I figured I would make things a little less painful by stopping in for lunch first. Thankfully the place is doing well, very well actually. I was told by the owner that they are goi to start opening on Sunday's too as soon as new staff is trained. Went with my usual today and couldn't be happier! Still very fresh and tasty! They have tables spaced out in the inside and the single table on the outside. Next time, I'll have to go there when I'm not starving so I can try something new. I have been meaning to try this for months and finally was able to! We ordered the original spring rolls and fried egg rolls, salt and pepper wings and the shack fried noodles! All of it was so good! The noodles look very simple but it was so tasty. We ate at a small table outside which worked well. The food was reasonably priced. I would love to try the pork belly spring rolls next time and the fried rice. The owner is so nice too. We will be back! We hope these small businesses can weather the storm of covid. The restaurant itself was small, simple and you ordered at the counter and then your food is delivered to the table. We happen to enjoy hole-in-the-wall places like this anyways. To go orders are done easily enough also. That said the food is fantastic with no complaints from me or my friend. Found this place from a Yelp Friend so it was fiiting that I had lunch with a friend. I ordered the beef fried noodles. She had the tofu sandwich with cheese wontons. First off, prices are very reasonable. We felt so guilty using the 10% off Yelp coupon, we left the discount amount in the tip jar. The beef noodles were yummy with just enough kick to make my palate happy. My friend enjoyed her sandwich. She said the tofu was flavorable with just enough mayo to moisten the white roll. I have come to really appreciate this restaurant. The banh mi are delicious (I really like the grilled pork) and the Spicy Shrimp Garlic Noodles was great! The combos are a great deal -- you can add a Vietnamese iced coffee and egg roll for a few dollars more. Moreover, their presentation is also on point -- garnishing plates and adding shrimp chips.
