Grilled pork on vermicelli. No fatty or gristly bits. Perfectly fresh+rinsed veg. PERFECT DISH.

SHRINKAGE! Holy effing 5H1TBALL5. HALF the amount of meat, HALF the amount of MICROSCOPICALLY cut "veggies" (lettuce and a few carrots/beansprouts) on my grilled pork on vermicelli and ONE QUARTER of the usual size of chili they provide on the side. The nuoc chom was WATERED WAY DOWN. They even CHEAPED OUT on the peanuts. This was literally the size of a small appetizer. I know things are tough in the restaurant biz., but c'mon - this was insulting for the price! Not going back. I always loved this this place - until today.

The food is super tasty. I also like that this quick grab and go place has my favourite Vietnamese noodle soup which is the bun rieu. The shrimp paste that you add to the tomato broth adds so much depth to it and I'm glad they give you it on the side and you can adjust the flavour to your liking. The noodle soup which consists of a tomato broth also has tofu puff, pork and crab patty, pork slices and bean sprouts. They also have mint and lemon for you to add to it. The worker I have seen him at both locations and he's super friendly! This store is a grab and go place mainly take out but has a tall table for those that want to eat there but super limited. If you want to dine in might I suggest to go to their 2nd location for a dine experience.

    Ice coffee with condensed milk

I have heard good things about this place, so I decided to check it out to satisfy my banh mi cravings. From the outside, the store looks quite small, and parking can be limited, though i had no issues finding a spot going on a Sunday morning right at opening. Upon walking in, there is absolutely no place for seating at all. They did have a counter and a couple of chairs, but the whole area was covered by storage boxes filled with ingredients, which took away from the look of the place. I ended up getting a small ice coffee with condensed milk and a grilled pork banh mi. My partner got the pork sausage banh mi. The wait was about 10 to 15 minutes. The coffee was delicious, it was strong and the perfect level of sweetness. However, the banh mi was very disappointing. Upon getting home, I realized that pate was extra, even though it's included in most banh mi places that I go. They were also quite skimpy on the pickled veggies, so I barely got anything in mine. The meat also tasted old as it was sitting out for a while. My partner felt the same about his banh mi. Overall, very bland in terms of flavors. This is only applicable to the banh mi as I haven't tried their other dishes yet.

A small eatery with counter and barstool dining area, self-service for the cutlery and water. Been coming here for their banh mi and pho for a while - hits the spot! The grilled meat in the banh mi is good! Tried the off-menu special - the charred beef ribs and brisket pho & it was delicious! It was more of a fancier pho and the portion was huge. Lots of tender fall-off-the-bone meat, lots of noodles and yummy broth.

Really enjoyed vietnoms. Family restaurant with very good food and owner was really nice. Their menu are always changing because they always want to try new things. Really enjoyed our time there.

Grilled pork bun with spring rolls

I came here to satiate a Vietnamese spring roll craving and vietnoms hit the spot. Vietnoms is purely takeout or delivery, no dine in. I ordered the grilled pork vermicelli (bun) with spring rolls via Ritual. The dish comes with your traditional seasoned grilled pork slices, delicious spring roll, and salad on a bed of vermicelli. It's your typical bun done right. Only drawback for me was there was a little less pork than I'd like and not enough hot sauce provided. But all in all, great and satisfying dish! Ask for extra hot sauce!

So we decided to grab takeout food on the way home. We placed our order ahead of time thinking the food will be ready by the time the app told us to pick up. Turns out the food was ready 10 minutes before. So when we were having the food, it was cold. So there's some mismatch in terms of time. After all, as a consumer we want our food to be tasty and in decent temperature. As for the vermicelli dish I ordered, in terms of taste it wasn't too shabby at all. I do like the amount of veggies that went into it and it adds an extra layer of crunchy texture. The grilled chicken wasn't oily at all and had great flavour. Pork sausage was a bit meh. Then again I haven't had Vietnamese pork sausage for the longest time. I can't recall what I'm suppose to taste. Overall the dish is a 4/5. However the letdown came from the mismatch in time so the dish turned cold, so this is a 3/5. I'll give them a total of 3.5/5. Will I come back for redemption? Maybe?

I love how small and cozy Vietnom is! A few bar seats, limited parking, small menu. But people willing to visit because the food is good here! The taste here is clean and fresh. I felt good after having lunch here! Service here is friendly and energetic. I can tell the owner and staff are passionate about their food!

Vietnoms is a tiny little Vietnamese Restaurant with a very modern feel to it. Although mostly a takeout place, they do have counter seating for around 8-10ppl but no public washroom (that I could see). It's bright and clean, with white marble, a white brick facade, pot lights, and two large flat screen TVs on the wall showing very attractive pictures of their dishes. Their menu seems big for such a tiny space, with Appetizers, Banh Mi, Pho, Noodles, Vermicelli, Vegetarian, Rice, Stir Fry dishes, beverages, and more. It looks like they also do party platters. There was a steady stream of customers while we were there so business must be good. For our meal, we ordered Fresh Rolls with Beef, Pork Sausage with Grilled Pork and Spring Roll with Vermicelli, and my friend had one of the daily specials. I think it was beef with rice. I didn't get to try it but she said it was good. My dish, with the pork, sausage, spring roll, and vermicelli, was very good! All the ingredients were fresh and the flavours were very good, especially with the obligatory hoisin and hot sauce! It was also more food than what it appeared to be! Very filling and satisfying. I almost didn't have any room left for the Fresh Rolls but I had to try it. Mmm, it was good! A little squirt of hoisin and pepper sauces made it perfect! Again, very fresh! I'm sure if this place had more seating, they would be able to fill the dining room regularly. The food and service were very good. If this was closer to home, I would be here more often!

The food at Vietnoms is absolutely fantastic! This family-run, local Vietnamese takeout joint brings to us traditional comfort food that we have known to love! They have only 7 seats in the house, but you can also find them on UberEats and Ritual. Be sure to check out their Off Menu Specials, available Thursday to Saturday. It changes from time to time. Check out their IG for new updates! I have tried their Bun Rieu, Bun Mam, and Five Spice Duck Noodle Soup, and they are all delicious! I especially enjoy their housemade Banh Mi sandwiches. Their baguettes are baked fresh every morning by a local Vietnamese baker. It is crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. You can choose to add their housemade pate and fromage to any of their sandwiches. Tofu Banh Mi is also available! I'm also a sucker for Fresh Rolls toooo, with the creamy peanut sauce! I love the one with pork and shrimp. They also have one made with their housemade Vietnamese pork sausage that I've yet to try! I'm so happy for this new addition in my neighhourhood. Thank you for the amazing hospitality, Tony! Keep up the amazing work Vietnoms, I will be back again :)

They also have pho, rice, and vermicelli dishes as well. Washrooms are located downstairs which are not accessible. They only accept cash (with a 10% cash discount) or debit. I previously have had Anh Dao for take out before - their pork sausages (nem nuong) are delicious and perfect when you wrap them with vermicelli and fresh herbs. Even when I got take out, the restaurant gives you plenty of fresh ingredients to create your own fresh rolls. I recently went to Anh Dao for lunch to dine in at the restaurant on a Friday around 12:30pm. The place was pretty quiet as it seemed like I was their first customer that day. During my time there, there was another party of 2 that also came in to eat lunch. I opted for the house special soup pho ($19.95). Service was friendly and my food came at a reasonable time after I ordered. The house special pho included slice rare beef, beef brisket, beef balls, and tripe. The soup was slightly sweet with a nuttier flavour. The noodles were unfortunately not the fresh kind but there were ample beef ingredients in the bowl of pho for the price you are paying. I love how in addition to siracha and hoisin sauce, there is also ground up chili sauce as well as a pickled sliced garlic and jalapeno pepper mixture at the table. Moreover, you get bean spouts, a red chili pepper, fresh herbs, and lime that you can add to your pho broth. Overall, a tasty bowl of pho where the quality of the beef was good. Anh Dao is a tasty option for Vietnamese food in the College and Spadina area. Definitely do try their meat platters as they are quite delicious!
