    Seafood noodle and house special
    Ricky C.

Qualiy went down. Was last here in September of 2023, prices were lower and quality was higher. Most guests order the pineapple fried rice and noodle soup. Our seafood noodle soup was watered down with shrimp smaller than my pinky. My house special, was not special there was no taste of chicken broth or beef broth. Theres alot of competition in this area and we certainly will no come back. Waitresses were nice hough, but that isnt why we came here. Restaurant is brigh as hell. Def not romantic. Cups and cutlery were sticky.

Sunday lunch may not be the best time to eat here. The restaurant was full, with a couple groups of people ahead of us. We got a number, and thankfully, it didn't take too long until a table opened up for us. We had taken advantage of our waiting time to browse the menu and decide on what to order. Once seated, we ordered a small pho with raw beef and beef tendon, as well as a bian hoi with lemongrass chicken fillet and Vietnamese ham. The service was quick and efficient. FYI, it was quite noisy in the restaurant at full capacity and it was difficult to hold a conversation without raising your voice. Imagine our surprise when the bian hoi arrived with two chicken wings instead of a lemongrass chicken fillet. Perhaps the server heard chicken and automatically wrote down chicken wings instead. The noodles in the bian hoi were stuck together in one huge clump and it was very difficult to separate them without breaking the noodles. This doesn't usually happen when we order bian hoi at other restaurants. The amount of noodles in the dish was sufficient for three meals, and we had to pack the leftovers. I'm a fan of peanuts in bian hoi, and I wish we could've gotten more peanuts. There was only a small amount sprinkled on top.

Ahh I loveeeee the pho here . It's like hk style pho and there's an option to pick fresh noodle.. Portion size is quite generous for both noodle and toppings . Xl was $14.99. Soup came out piping hot and soooooo yumm ! Only downside is they didn't have bean sprouts as well no culantro !:( We also tried pineapple fried rice ! Good for aesthetics and had good wok taste but it was the first pineapple fried rice I had that had sausage in it instead of seafood. Price was $13.99. Finally we also got a durian milk shake for $5.99 which was lacking and completely watered down . Would not recommend . Bonus this is one of the few pho places open late . Most around the area close by 9 pm!

char keow teow and iced viet coffee

A friend recommended this place a few days ago. I dropped by Sunday early afternoon for lunch and it was really busy. The restaurant is pretty big but lots of tables were occupied. I wasn't a huge fan of the food. Perhaps it's more of a Chinese style Vietnamese food, but I didn't find many of the items authentic. For example, the char keow teow tasted more like a Singaporean curry with flat rice noodle dish. The rice and 3 mixed meats were also not the traditional grilled meats with broken rice. The spring rolls were really good though! The large pho was pretty big. The pho came with fresh rice noodle, but the broth was average. I also had a viet coffee which was also average. Overall, given how there are so many other restaurants around, I probably will try something else.

Huge noodle portion, this was a size small! Their prices are also lower than most Vietnamese restaurants around the area.

My mom and I were looking for a quick lunch and found this Vietnamese restaurant in Scarborough at Midland and Finch. We ordered the Tom Yum Gong Noodle ($8.99 small size) and Ketchup Beef Brisket Stew ($7.99 small size). My mom enjoyed the Tom Yum noodle soup which came with at least 4 shrimps, onions and peppers. I ordered the Ketchup beef brisket and that tasted okay. I prefer fattier pieces of beef brisket and I found the meat to be too lean. We wanted to order the Spring Roll but it was already sold out before 1pm on a weekday. The customer service is pretty good and the patio seating is nicely spaced out. This isn't my favourite Vietnamese restaurant but the location is great and I find it's quite clean.

Nice food at reasonable price $12 for this house special beef noddle. Quick and courteous service. The plaza have lots of parking very convenient

Grilled pork neck (snack size) $9

I used to come here frequently when it was one of the only few pho spots in the area. I recently came back for a quick, convenient, and comforting meal. The menu is in English & Chinese with prices and a few pictures shown. They offer a large variety of food and drinks. I love their grilled pork neck because it's really flavourful and I love the texture. I also ordered their signature pho in an XL to share with one other. The food took longer than usual to come and the grilled pork neck (snack size) came when we were almost finished the pho. We were almost about to cancel the grilled pork neck order as we were basically done our meal. The pho is decent but I think the prices are relatively lower compared to other pho restaurants in the area. They are usually busy during peak hours so the restaurant can get quite noisy. There's a huge parking lot for the plaza and I've never had an issue finding a spot to park.

    Seafood Laksa noodles ($9.99)

Whenever I'm craving for some noodles, this is the place! The service is always fast, efficient and friendly. I always order their laksa noodles and never disappoints. The soup is always full of flavour - it's spicy and savory. I ordered small and I was pretty stuffed!

Recently visited this resto again. Granted still during pandemic and social distancing. Prices have gone up for dine in restos I find. We ordered : Small Cooked Beef Pho, Vietnamese Noodles and BBQ Squid. Wifey enjoyed her Pho. I only tasted the Pho broth, since I can't eat beef due to gout. The Vietnamese noodles were also good. The BBQ Squid for $8.99 CAD, sorry, we found it not as enjoyable as to back in 2018. Even tho I like squid, it's one of the seafood I can consume and not cause a reaction with gout flare up. The squid we had didn't seem completely cooked. Not enough char on it either. Tho for the Vietnamese Noodle dish, it seems steep priced at $13.99 CAD Will still come back for other dishes tho, since it is cold weather now and Pho is comforting for colder weather.

Surprisingly this place never disappoints. You can get good pho at a good price. Service is fast and they're pretty accommodating. Compared to previous pho places, the broth they give you at this location doesn't compare. I've tried the Satay w/peanuts and they set the bar with that. Probably the most flavourable satay pho you can get for less than $10. The house special is always a go to as you can add sauces to your preference to enhance the broth with the condiments on the side.

    Rare beef and tripe
    Michelle M.

Small pho with rare beef and tripe: $8.99 plus tax. I thought the bowl was very overwhelming with the noodles. It was on the thicker side. The broth was not piping hot like I would normally prefer. However, they are pretty generous with the meat portions. 25 cents surcharge for any bills paid with debit.

Large house special noodle soup ($10.99)
    Abby L.

Decent place for a quick bite. The parking lot is a bit of a pain during rush hours since there are a lot of restaurants in the area but after you get a spot, everything else is quick. We were greeted as soon as we got in and got a seat right away. Food came out shortly after. Portions are big for the price with a good amount of meat and noodles. In fact, we were able to share a large pho between two people and were both full after. However, I felt that this restaurant cares more about quantity than quality. The noodles were very thick and a little overcooked. Soup wasn't hot enough so my bean sprouts didn't cook through (they didn't offer to cook them for us and we couldn't flag anyone down). Soup base was forgettable. Overall, food was average at best. Probably would only come back if I was really hungry and looking for a quick meal.

I liked the toppings though having an option of heat level would have been nice. Service was so so. The host greeted us and when we asked for a table along the back she very reluctantly gave us one saying they are saved for the dinner rush. We were there at 6:30pm so would think we are part of that "rush". When we left an hour later there were only a few her diners and two single diners were given Seats along the wall. So much for that dinner rush. Also no one ever came to check on us. Had to flag down for anything even the check. Though servers were grouped together on the side talking most of the time. Sansotei Ramen Review…read more Order: Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen Ambience: Sansotei at union station is more like a quick takeout /food court ramen spot than a sit-down restaurant. It's great if you're grabbing something fast, but the seating area wasn't the cleanest and I had to look around for a table that had been wiped down, which wasn't ideal if I am paying 21$ for a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. Food: I tried the black tonkotsu ramen and it was definitely rich and filling. I liked that you can choose between thick or thin noodles, which is a nice touch. That said, the broth was a bit too rich and salty for my taste and could use something to balance it out, maybe an order or Diet Coke. The meat was good but not as tender as I would like. Sides and Pairing Tip: I'd recommend getting a side of gyoza or even a Diet Coke to help cut through how rich, heavy and salty the ramen feels. Value for Money: It's a good option for a quick meal, but it does feel a little expensive for the experience you're getting for that price. Overall: Great for a fast ramen fix when you're on the go, but maybe not the best choice if you're looking for a more comfortable dine-in experience, or more value for money. 3/5

The weather in Toronto this week has been in the 20's and 30's! The restaurant does serve the dodgers when they are in town! If it's good enough for them... I ordered a Canadian whiskey to start off. It was very nice and smooth. I think it was a Sleeman and sons? Not positive but I really liked it! Then the food. I ordered the first roll from every section. There were some repeats which he advised me would happen but I didn't mind! The sushi was so tender and had great flavor. My husband ordered the ribeye steak and that was really really good. I would order that definitely next time and come here again!

I don't usually go for high-end sushi restaurants, but Miku has been on my list for a while, so I was genuinely excited to finally check it out. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an office building, but the moment you step inside the restaurant, everything changes. You go from bright, corporate lighting to a moody, romantic space with soft, dim lighting and a refined, intimate ambiance... it truly feels like entering a different world. Bonus points for the complimentary coat check, which is a huge win during winter when everyone is lugging around massive puffer jackets. We were seated in plush, velvety sofa booths near the bar, with a view of the street, which felt both cozy and upscale. Shoutout to our server, Shintaro, who was phenomenal with his warm, attentive, and energetic service, which made the whole experience even better. We started with drinks: my coworkers ordered sake flights, while I went with their signature cocktail, the kumquat cosmo. It was sweet and citrusy, and exactly what I needed on a Tuesday night after work. For appetizers, we all chose the sushi and sashimi selection, which included 9 pieces of chef-selected sashimi, chef-selected nigiri, and aburi oshi sushi. This was chef's kiss. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the sushi and nigiri were perfectly seasoned and sauced, so that we didn't even need soy sauce (though they do have a lovely house-made sweet soy sauce). I ordered the Red Wave Roll just to use their house-made sweet soy sauce... and wow. I've never had sushi that didn't fall apart after biting into it For my main, I went with the roast black cod. It was cooked beautifully, with a tender, slightly chewy texture that was rich but not overwhelming. For dessert, I went with their famously loved green tea opera. It's a small green tea sponge cake layered with matcha buttercream, red bean cream, and a hazelnut wafer crust, paired with a rich, velvety matcha ice cream on the side. Balanced, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, Miku lived up to (and honestly exceeded) the hype. Incredible food, top-notch service, and a beautiful atmosphere.

We didn't have any dessert because we were full! Service: I came early to make sure we didn't lose our table & was seated right away. I ordered appetizers so when everyone came they would have something to eat while the main dishes were being cooked. The main dishes actually came pretty fast after we ordered them. Our waitstaff were two different ladies & they were very nice & efficient. Ambiance: The decor is very kitschy. There were paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. And the door to the bathroom is a rustic wooden door. The tables are basic & chairs all had different colours. I don't mind the decor but it's very casual so not the best for a corporate dinner if you want something fancy. Also the music was quite loud. So it was hard to have a conversation. I like the food here & it's in a convenient spot. It's just really loud & casual. Also there isn't much space between the tables so if the restaurant is full it could feel squishy! I would come back here again to try some different dishes.
