    Ribs pho
    Almira Alice L.

The pho was very flavourful. I ordered the ribs pho it came in two bowls. One with a full bone and tendon. I loved it. If you are not a fan of tender and bones you might not enjoy the second bowl. There were two large pieces of ribs, soft. The broth was flavourful. Noodles were cooked well. The service was good too. There are lots of parking space in the plaza . They accept cash or debit only. No cash discount

As I said last time, we definitely came back more often. I really love their big bone special noodle soup. It was big enough for 2 adults and a baby to get full. We called ahead, and it was Saturday lunch time, not too busy and they still had enough inventory. This time I wanted to try the Vietnamese coffee, but normally I couldn't have a drink too cold and too sweet, so I requested to have no ice and less condense milk. The staff helped to ask the cashier, they said if I don't want the ice, and top up the cup would be +$3 towards $6.95. I said how about no ice and no need to top up? Yes, they could do that, but it turned out half cup of it, not really as they said 70% of coffee. The soup was still good quality, but drinks could be thinking about it.

Lemongrass chicken and pork rice with steamed egg

Another Pho Anh Vu! Can't go wrong with any of their dishes. Had the lemongrass chicken and pork with steamed egg and portion size was pretty big. Service was friendly. This location is very spacious and clean.

I came to Pho Anh Vu on Father's Day and while the food overall was pretty good, there were a few issues. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet and it had a really nice, rich broth with a good mix of beef cuts. The mango salad with grilled shrimp was fresh and flavorful with a nice balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy. I also tried the Mon Cuon Dac Biet. It looked great but didn't have much meat on the platter which made it a bit disappointing. They brought out the rice paper and hot water right away, but the food took so long to come out that the water got cold by the time I actually needed it. Service was friendly, but definitely slow, probably because it was a busy holiday. I'd come back again, but hopefully on a quieter day when things are more consistent.

So when my cousin decided on her birthday date that she would like to come to this establishment then I got excited. Located on Main Street Newmarket, this little shop has many soups selections to choose from. They also let you have a sample to make sure you're making the right choice! We both decided to get the soup, sandwich and a bottle of water ( $11 ) and boy did we make a good choice. Normally you would except a small soup bowl with a sandwich however this soup was in a HUGE (to me anyways lol) bowl with a full sized sandwich. My soup of choice was the chicken noodle with a ham & cheese croissant. I feel like chicken noodle is always a good staple to determine if it is worth coming back. I must say, it definitely was worth it. The chicken noodle soup was soo filling. Had some hearty vegetables and they definitely did not skip out on the chicken. I had to push myself to finish my sandwich as I was already too full! Thank you for amazing service and I am definitely coming back

On one end, it sounds like a run of the mill fast food joint (i.e. In and Out, Coffe Time), but the name doesn't do its Chinese name justice (Chinese name: Wellness Studio). On the other hand, the name does a great job of communicating the nature of its business: takeout and take home home style soup and meal. Regardless if you like their name or not, I think it's a good spot for this type of business. They manage to capture some of the passerbys and nearby white collar workers. On the other hand, it's not a high traffic mall, so the take home meals are a great way of increasing total customer spending. I'm basing this review purely on a takeout lunch of a steamed dried shrimp and preserve sausage and meat rice in lotus leaf. They really do a good job of balancing health and taste. I'm always wary of food that is healthy or healthier, but they end up tasting like cardboard. No such issue here. The rice on the surface looked kind of small. But they really didn't stinch on the preserved sausage and meat. The rice they used was the nice soft jasmine rice. They also purposely mixed in some quinoa. I forgot to mention that the rice also had a decent amount of dried scallop as well. Here are a few suggestions for improvement: A little bit less preserved meat and sausage, while adding more dried shrimp would be nice. The dried mushroom and shrimp can be a bit more aromatic and the lotus leaf flavour transfer can for sure be amped up. The lunch does come with home style boiled Chinese soup (or broth) and a herbal drink. Both of these were excellent. The items at Soup to Go are not cheap. The lunch with tax was just under $20. It is cliche, but you get what you pay for. Feel like drinking soup, but you don't know what is the soup of the day? You can check out their monthly schedule of soups!

We got there around 11:30AM and it wasn't busy yet but had people trickling in as the time passed. Service was a solid 5/5. Staff were so nice and happy - always smiling at us whenever they brought anything to our table. The dishes here were great with some adjustments to their dishes, I think it could be a solid 5/5! Here goes: Viet coffee 4/5 - Love me an iced Viet coffee. Was a tad sweet imo, so think they could adjust their condensed milk portions for this. Overall was a great caffeine hit drink though. Banh Cuon 5/5 - Oh my goodness - must get! Chewy steamed rice rolls with a pork filling dipped into the fish sauce. Came with grilled meats which were to die for. Bun Cha Ha Noi 5/5 - Meats were very well seasoned in the broth like sauce. It's a dipping type noodle and was absolutely divine. Bun Bo Hue 4/5 - This was good but not too spicy. Lacked a bit of umami flavour and felt like it could have used a bit more depth. Pho Bo 4/5 - Standard beef pho that was comforting and delicious. Overall a pretty solid spot for Vietnamese food. Would visit this place again.

The decor is from the previous store I think called maki momo? The dine in is counter seating. The taste is definitely not your typical Korean soup spices but the pork bone was definitely fall off the bone and tender which some Korean places serve it very dry. The spicy fish and veggie soup was also different as the fish used I believe it's snakehead where other places usually have that thick cut white fish which is meh. So I really enjoyed it. Definitely don't set the expectation as authentic Korean dishes for these two dishes in terms of taste because it's quite different. The pork bone soup had a lot of garlic in it but something about the soup base gave me sukiyaki flavours. The fish soup was slightly different as well but also can't narrow down what it reminds me off but that one gave some Chinese spin to it. Although different I'd say it's unique and good in their own way, I'd go back for their grilled meat options next time. For service there is a girl who takes your order and also the one that brings you food and periodically comes by to check on you. Very friendly. Lastly, you can purchase a membership for a year for $10 and it's basically half price on their prices. -Totally worth it.

Today was Tuesday, so we were good to go. The promo was $25 including 1 bowl of noodle, 1 bowl of clay pot rice with meat and 1 of snack dishes. We could choose them from the special menu. We chose the beef noodle soup, chicken & mushroom clay pot with soup, and the snack was the deep fried wonton. The wonton was great, so delicious and my little one loved it so much; the beef noodle soup was ok, but only a few pieces of beef and radish; the clay pot was the most I like, when I put the soy sauce in, the pot was boiling. That's so nice. That also caused the crackers at the bottom. That's really amazing. We also got a little bowl of the seaweed soup for the clay pot. So nice. This special deal was so good that enough for all of us. Next time, I would like to try other options.
