The lunch special is just 10% off some large noodle bowls so it costs more than standard size. It's not a good deal if you're not hungry or willing to pack leftovers. Large original Laksa was truly huge (the menu calls the beef version the authentic Malaysia version but it's the other way round). It used pho noodles not round rice noodles. The soup was pretty rich & decently umami with dried shrimp flavour. Fried tofu puffs were decent, fish cake & fish balls were tasty & springy. It was garnished with cilantro but no Laksa leaf (Vietnamese mint) as well as some crunchy bean sprouts (not in description). Fried wantons were fresh & crispy. The interior was bouncy & was a bit bland on its own but was highly elevated by the fish sauce. The pickles were fresh, moist, crisp & tasty & finely cut for a good mouth feel. The fish sauce dipping sauce was excellent.  Hu Tieu Nam Vang dry noodles were pretty tasty. The noodles just had beansprouts, peanuts & lettuce & were tossed in slightly sweet, soy based sauce. The soup was tasty with a lot of garlic chives & green onion. Fishballs were springy & there were pork slices, shrimp, minced pork & lettuce. The squid was tough.  Crab noodles had sweet & seafoody soup. It had crab balls, tofu puffs & springy Vietnamese spam, which were all tasty. Blood tofu was decent. Soft shell crab was good: not oily, crispy & not too wet inside. read more

Bun Rieu hunting resumed! Among all the bun rieus that I have tried, this one was the best so far! The soft shell crab was huge! It was very meaty & juicy, and shell was thinly & crisply fried.... as biting in, the juice splashed out. Soaked in the soup to mix the juice into the broth - heaven! The soup was well rounded, full of Crab flavor. The salt/sweet/sour/spice balance was on point. Essential ingredients like Crab meat ball, black pepper sausage, and blood pudding were all fresh. Satisfying, highly recommend! My hubby got combo set (Pho Tai, Nam & Goi Cuon Tom/fresh spring rolls) for $19. As usual, he asked his rare beef on the side so he can "cook" in the soup for his preferred done-ness. The arrived rare beef looked very fresh. Soup had a hint of natural sweetness from vegetable, and had depth. Very good!!!! I liked shredded mango in the fresh spring rolls :) Will have to come back!!!! read more

Back again after 2 years! They've improved on the overall service but the overall quality of meat took a nose dive. I tried their pho-zilla and I'm absolutely not impressed. The beef rib and bone marrow were completely overcooked. It was obviously they were meant for flavoring the broth. Pretty much dried flavorless meat. The broth was good though. They should provide a plate so we can take out the bone marrow and rib. There wasn't a lot of real estate to work with around the bones so it made eating more difficult than it should've been. I can't recommend the pho-zilla at all. read more

Came on a Tuesday afternoon for the lunch special that's from 11am to 4pm. We got 10% off for a large pho with 2 toppings. Service was good and the food came fast. Went during soft opening so will post a follow on review once the kinks are worked out. So far, food was ok but not much better than other Vietnamese restaurants. The Bun Rieu had no Flavor in the broth but the soft shell crab was good. I would probably skip this. The pho zilla orders weren't available and neither were the platters. Nothing with oxtail or beef Rib bone was available. The pork chop lemon grass plate looked good and would come back for. Service was very slow and took us over 30 mins to get our order. Will come back and write a full review when they are fully opened. read more

Pho Le - Bone marrow pho - amazing. Crispy dumplings - simply delicious as well. - Vietnamese Near Me - Richmond Hill, Ontario

First time ordered the crab tomatoes noodle with crab meat and blood pudding, and the sliced meat and fried tofu with add on fried soft shell crab. Crab came later was still delicious. Others ordered the bone marrow said it was okay made the soup more fatty. Chicken wings were delicious crunchy with glistening fish sauce. 2nd time going to this restaurant after the initial visit everything tasted good. Came in for the holiday promotion where you get 3 mains and an appetizer platter and 3 drinks with coupons to use for next visit. 25$ spend to use 5$ dollar off. Got the beef rib so delicious, crab tomatoes noodles with 1st time review items consistently good. Broken chicken rice flavourful nice char small veggies and broken rice with egg. The platter was also delicious ( crunchy spring roll, wonton, rice roll, noodles lettuce, mango salad shrimp Chip). The ice coffee with salty foam taste like tiramisu latte well worth to get, thai milk tea was also good. Combing both review. Food is consistently good. Washrooms on the main floor. Only issue is the Inside door doesn't close and all the cold air gets let in from the front door because of air pressure flow difference. Lots of free parking on site in the plaza. read more

This is a small but busy restaurant, so be prepared to wait for a table. They have a queuing system to alerts your phone number but we had a bit of an issue where they cancelled our table because they said we didn't reply within 5 minutes even though our phone timestamp showed we replied within a minute. The staff was a bit sassy about the situation but seated us anyway. The food was pretty good. I had the Bun Rieu Cua Chien Gion with soft shell crab which was tasty and had lots of toppings. The soft shell crab was a pre decent size and fried well. I also enjoyed the kumquat sugar cane juice which was very refreshing. read more

We have been eager to try Pho Le since this restaurant was recommended by Michelin. And we finally had the chance to go there today! It was nice, though it wasn't amazing. I think my experience aligns with many previous reviews on Yelp. The service is okay, but it definitely does not make me feel it's a "Michelin-recommended" level of service. Some of them even felt impatient. I guess it's just because they were too busy, and I feel it was understaffed. This restaurant needs more employees to fit the number of its customers. It also has a strange policy: it charges an extra 15% of the total fee when there are more than 6 people. Why are we punished when we bring more customers to your restaurant? It does not make any sense. I am not stupid. Of course, I know it's because bigger tables occupy more space in the restaurant. However, it may be the WORST and STUPIDEST policy I've ever seen. You have so many ways to increase the turnover rate, why use the one that would irritate customers? The food was average. The best one was the fresh roll with shrimp, but that's just a side of the combo. It really could've been better read more

Super yummy pho spot! I've been here twice now, and both visits were amazing. They often run great promotions too this time we caught their Holiday Fest deal: $79 for 3 mains, 1 appetizer or meat platter, and 3 drinks. Honestly, it was a lotttt of food. It easily could feed 4 adults, we ate a ton and still had leftovers. The drinks were all so good and packed with flavor. We ordered the Thai milk tea, green Thai milk tea, and Vietnamese coffee. My favorite was definitely the green Thai milk tea, very rich, fragrant, and not watered down at all. The pho itself was steaming hot, super hearty, and full of comforting, savory flavor. Every bite was great. The appetizer platter was also really good because it let us try a bit of everything, and my fav was the wings. Overall, everything we ordered was a hit. The service was great too, friendly and efficient, with food coming out pretty quickly. Definitely make sure to join the waitlist, especially on weekends. The space isn't huge, but there's a decent amount of seating, and they're happy to push tables together for larger groups. I also love the interior. read more

deep, meaty southern‑Vietnamese broth, generous cuts of beef, and a flavour profile that's richer and slightly sweeter than most local pho shops. We had come at the lunch hour. It will get busy so come a bit earlier. When you hear Michelin, one feels you must try their food. We tried two of their signature dishes. Pho with Beef Ribs Personally I prefer fresh noodles but only dried noodles are offered. My beef ribs were not fall off the bone beef which was what I was expecting. I brought the leftovers home, and I cut off the beef with a scissors and recooked the broth. The beef ribs meat became more tender. Beef Bone Marrow I think the bone marrow was not fully roasted or not roasted sufficiently and to me it did not taste delicate as I have had at other restaurants, it just tasted fatty. The broth came out steaming hot. For the beef bone marrow broth, all the raw ingredients should be added as soon as possible to ensure the heat from the stone bowl cooks the ingredients. Food 3/5 Service 3.5/5 Ambiance 3/5 I think I enjoyed the bone marrow beef more at Electric Piggy. There is parking in this busy strip mall. read more

I visited Pho Le for dinner last night and had a really comforting meal. The highlight for me was the pho dac biet. The broth was rich, warm, and full of flavor, and the beef was generous and tender. It was the kind of bowl that felt simple, comforting, and very satisfying for dinner. We also ordered cha gio, which were crisp on the outside and flavorful inside, and a rice plate with grilled meats and a fried egg that made the meal feel even more complete. I liked having a mix of lighter and heartier dishes on the table, and everything worked well together. The atmosphere felt casual, cozy, and easygoing, which made it a nice place to relax over dinner. Service was also smooth and friendly during the visit. read more

I came here a year ago and didn't have the best impression. Decided to give it another try. I got the laksa this time and it was really flavourful. It had lots of toppings. Pho Le is a fusion Vietnamese restaurant with Singaporean & Malaysian twists. While it is definitely on the pricier side for pho and Vietnamese cuisine, their food is definitely worth the price tags. Aside from their super flavourful pho (don't sleep on their laksa pho), the snacks are amazing, especially their fish sauce chicken wings. The place is cozy, comfortable and very clean/well maintained, and the service is standard. Went here twice to give it a fair review. It is a small parking lot but there is an underground parking option. Ambiance - 3.75/5: very small place so it fills up quickly. Lots of decorations that signifies Vietnam. When it's snowing or wet outside, the floors are quite slippery inside. They have 2 bathrooms - 1 for male and 1 for female. Female washroom is wheelchair accessible. I'm going to assume male is as well but I'm not too sure. Service - 3.75/5: in the first encounter, some of the staff were in training. Only 2 people took orders and could explain how the menu works. However, the drink took an exceptionally long time. We finished our meal and chased down the order twice before we got the drink in a takeout cup. In the second encounter, service was a little faster. However, some of the new staff had to take multiple trips to put down the food. Food - 3.75/5: I tried the combo meal the first time and the viral bone marrow in a stone pot pho. For the combo: Pho Dac Biet - signature beef noodle soup with rare beef, brisket, tendon and beef balls: soup is clear. A little salty, maybe some MSG. I found the tendon not tender Goi Cuon Tom - fresh house rolls with shrimp: only 2 rolls, it's ok, vegetable forward. The sauce is vinegary fish sauce Stone pot bone marrow pho: clean taste, broth is clear, tendons more tender A little disappointed that Dau Do Nuoc Dila (red bean coconut milk iced) is not available for both our visits, despite being on the drinks menu Overall: 3.75/5 - I think there is room for improvement. read more

I chose the beef brisket and beef ball pho with deep fried wontons. I also tried their smashed lemon black tea. The wontons were good, kept it's temperature for a good while. It was crispy and came with a fish sauce dip. I liked the pho - broth was clear but I could definitely taste the msg. The drink was ok. It was on the sweeter side despite a smashed lemon slice. This restaurant was recommended by a friend who hadn't attended, but said it was Michelin recommend (in Vietnam?). In any event, attended with kids - seven of us total. After seated, took a while to receive menus. Had to ask. Ordered the signature beef pho - large. Kids ordered the small. For context, the large is equivalent to a medium. The small is likely not enough. None of the 3 kids were filled....had to order more noodles. More on that.... Food: the broth was good. Noodles okay. Decent portion size if it was a MEDIUM but definitely not for a large. I'm not fond of the noodles that taste like it was dunked directly into the broth from the package. While that may not be the case, the noodles did have that unwashed taste, so wasn't happy about that. Service: ordered extra noodles for the kids....w a i t e d....after two trips to the counter to inquire (about 20 mins later) it arrived. The kids soup was cold by then. Service is definitely lacking. There were only two servers so management needs to consider hiring at least one more server, given how busy they were. Also took a while to bring water/tea. They added gratuity without asking.....I get it...it's 7 of us but given the lack of service, I wanted the option of how much I wanted to give. Overall, not impressed given it was 3/5 at best. read more

Solid four. They had a nice steady business on a Friday night. No wait, all tables full. The front of the house team worked together flawlessly. Only complaint was they were dousing the tables with sprayed strong smelling cleanser between sittings. I could smell it from 10 feet away. After seeing this spot all over Instagram, I finally decided to give it a try--and I'm glad I did! It's a Michelin Guide restaurant, so my expectations were pretty high, and overall, it delivered. There wasn't much to complain about, which is always a good sign. The service stood out right away. Our server was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The portion sizes were reasonable, and the interior was clean, modern, and welcoming. We arrived just after noon on a weekday and were seated immediately--no waiting, which is always a nice bonus. As for the food, we tried a little bit of everything. To start, we ordered the spring rolls, which were crispy, fresh, and flavorful. For drinks, we went with the red bean drink and the classic tricolored drink--both were refreshing and a fun way to complement the meal. For mains, we couldn't resist trying two of their most popular dishes: the laksa and the traditional pho. The laksa was rich and creamy with just the right amount of spice, while the pho had a wonderfully deep, savory broth that tasted like it had been simmering for hours. Both dishes were comforting and satisfying in their own way. All in all, this place lived up to the hype. It's clear why it made it onto the Michelin Guide--great service, a clean and inviting space, and solid food. If you're a fan of Vietnamese flavors with a little bit of flair, this is definitely worth checking out. I'll probably be back to try more from the menu! read more

The pho IS very good but I don't think it's worth the 1.5+ hrs of wait time that you will currently encounter due to all the hype. My gf and I visited on Easter sunday for dinner at around 5:10pm and we got seated around 6pm so roughly an hour. If you arrive after 6pm prepare to wait 1.5+hrs as they don't take reservations. The pho dac biet had a very beefy broth. No hoisin or sriracha needed. I'm slightly biased as I'm the biggest fan of Pho Anh Vu just down the road (like 2 min away). This resto has less seating, extremely long wait time and the portion sizes are smaller. They do have "combo sets" where you can get a soup noodle with an appetizer but the appetizer is small size (effectively half of a regular order), so I'm not sure there's actually much value there. So while I'm giving them 5 stars for the broth being top tier (I think this is prolly what got them into the michelin guide?), I think I still prefer the overall value that Pho Anh Vu provides (nothing beats their beef rib pho special at the moment imo AND their portions are also the biggest). My gf wanted to try the 3 colour dessert but they unfortunately sold out. =*) Wait for the hype to die down and then visit this place. You can have a delicious pho at Pho Anh Vu, Dear Saigon or Pho Tai Bac instead of getting hangry. read more

I came here around 11:30 am for a table of two on a Tuesday and it was easy to grab a table, as they were only at 60% capacity at the time. Their decor is very cute, giving off a nice aesthetic, and cozy vibes. The place also was quite clean. As soon as I sat down, I was given tea and menus. Overall, service was friendly. I ordered the "Original Laksa" as my main dish, and was offered to make it a combo with a small appetizer but I declined since I felt the noodles themselves would be enough food for me and it was. I loved the laksa, as it was very rich in flavor and had enough heat that it was tasty and enjoyable, but not deadly. There was an abundance of noodles, enough fish cake, fish balls, and fried tofu but I do wish there were more than 3 shrimps. The noodles themselves had a really nice chew and texture to them. I also ordered the "Traditional Thai iced green tea" which I was looking forward to since not all Vietnamese spots have it. It was rich in flavor as well, creamy without being heavy, and just absolutely delicious! I had to get another one to-go to give my mom a chance to try. Pho Le recently opened up in Golden Plaza on Hwy 7 and Bayview facing hwy 7. I never heard of this place until it started to advertise it was "coming soon" and of course also had to name drop the Michelin guide. So having a Michelin STAR is very different from being in the Michelin GUIDE. Pho Le is part of the Michelin GUIDE meaning that it's of quite good consistent quality enough that it's on the radar of Michelin. As far as I could find this restaurant does not have the STAR rating. Having gotten that out of the way we came on Thursday right when they opened at 11am 5 days into their soft opening. I'm trying to be nice since they are still in their soft opening but I actually feel they would have done better to delay their opening. Some highlights -We were served two cups of warmer then room temperature tea at best. No refills offered ever during our visit -Only Pho and some appetizers/drinks available. I would say maybe 35% of their menu was available (already a small menu to begin with) -One small hand full size dish of bean sprouts for two orders of soup noodles. -2 napkins given The pho broth was sadly lacking. It was light and beefy flavored but that is all. A good pho broth has to have a LOT of aromatics, star anise, cloves, onions, ginger etc to give it a deep flavor profile. This broth was similar to a good vanilla ice cream. I love a good vanilla ice cream, but at the end of the day is still just vanilla. Although they were MORE then staffed (more staff then customers, too many cooks in the kitchen...) service was OK, but as mentioned no one offered more tea or checked in once. I don't mind going back in the future (when they can offer their full menu of 12 menu items) but they definitely have a lot of room for improvement. read more

I've heard this was part of the Michelin guide so I wanted to give this place a try but was left fairly disappointed. First off, half their menu wasn't available (laksa and wings) and apparently won't be available for another 1-2 months. This was what I came for and I should've read the reviews beforehand. Secondly, although they have a lot of staff, they weren't very efficient...they didn't offer anymore water and had to come back and verify my order 10 mins later which meant they didn't even punch it in yet so I had to wait even longer for my food to come out. Lastly, having ordered the pho dac biet which included tendon had only one tiny piece in there. The portion sizes are small compared to other Vietnamese restaurants and the broth is clearer but I wouldn't call it anything special. Overall, the only good thing going was the modern and cool decor. read more

I came by during their soft opening, during which there is 10% discount offered (cash or debit). I came by with a couple friends right at 11 am opening, scared of a wait. Luckily we were seated right away and the restaurant didn't start filling in until a bit later. I got a Pho Dac Biet (large, thin noodles) along with a Thai Iced Tea. While the menu is relatively small (noodles, some apps, drinks), I did appreciate how it was clear on which dishes to note, such as recommended ones, or ones that were spicy or contained peanuts. We were given the side condiments including sprouts, lime and basil, with the pho coming soon after. The Pho Dac Biet had brisket, tendon, and beef balls. I always start off a bowl of pho with the broth -which I thought was light (did not leave me reaching for water) but that was about it. Compared to some other spots I thought it could use that rich beef and bone flavour. I understand this spot is recognized in Vietnam on the Michelin Guide so perhaps I was expecting a similar caliber experience, which I sadly did not. With the prices pretty much in line there is nothing that truly draws me here compared to other spots nearby. The service was good and we were checked on a few times to make sure everything was ok. Will keep an eye out on the reviews to see if the experience changes as they shift towards the full opening. read more
