    Chicken pad thai

This is my usual go to place for pho whether it is to order take out or done in. If you pay cash there is a 10% discount. Also they have a membership rewards. I have gone here enough times to score a free large grilled beef spring rolls. My typical P1 large is my go to dish. This is the pho soup with different kinds of beef. There service is also very efficient which makes sense because pho broth needs to be consumed hot. My daughter is not always a fan of pho so we sometimes get the pad Thai. The pad Thai dish here is also good too even though pad Thai is not a Vietnamese dish. I recommend people give this place a try if you are in the area.

I can't believe this opened for so long and it was only my first time coming here. Glad they opened up another pho restaurant in north Markham! The decor was pretty cute and interesting, there were pokemon legos and origami around the restaurant. It gave quite a cozy vibe. I tried the grilled lemongrass and springroll with vermicelli. I also got a cooked beef flank and beef meatballs noodle soup with no onions and cilantro. It tasted just okay. The portions were quite small for the prices. Overall the food was mediocre, I would still come back as it's a bit better than the other pho places in the area.

Family restaurant ! 10/10 We had lunch today, and the service was great . Attentive waitresses. FOOD ! let's not even mention how amazing the food was ! Fresh ingredients . The flavor was chef's' Kiss ! It's busy, so you may have to wait. The ambiance was good . The place is nice and cozy ! We also loved that the chef Vi came out to say hi and by to everyone

This Pho metro is small and when we went - it was packed. Had to wait for a bit but it gave us time to look at the interesting decor. Drawings from kids cover the wall, and in our booth, it had some local artist's works. It was cute and made it feel really mom and pop. Service was fast, and food came out quick. Wife found a hair in her chicken fried rice, but whatever- didn't make a deal about it. My pho was a large portion, tons of meat, and loved the selection of noodle. Only negative on the pho was the broth was not super hot, and it lacked flavour...almost felt watered down. More of a 3.75/5 for the temp and lack of flavour...but any bowl of pho is good no matter what.

We went here because Chrisly Cafe next door had a long wait queue. It's a busy pho restaurant on a Saturday morning, server was polite and attentive, we were served tea immediately after seated. Food taste and portion size were mediocre, and overall mediocre as well. You'll get 10% discount if pay by cash. Won't mind to come again.

Things I like about this place - Hot, flavorful beef broth - thin, silky fresh rice noodles - seats are comfortable - service is friendly - plenty of bean sprouts - 10% discount when paying cash Things I don't like: - chicken wings are small for the price. You don't even get the full wings but only the drums and flats. - raw beef are not raw, they are tiny medium well beef slices (pretty disappointing imo) - you don't get a full or even half beef balls but quarter beef balls - you can't get white onions without having green onions mixed in (not a biggie but as a person who don't eat green onions, it's something I noticed)

Tried the large house special (around $17) and the lemongrass chicken rolls. Portion for the pho is good but it is a bit pricey. The rolls were really good. The pho was good too; the broth isn't as strong as other places, and the meat is fresh. I think the noodles were a bit overcooked however. Service is good and there is a 10% cash discount.

Grilled lemongrass pork, Vietnamese sausage, spring roll vermicelli
    Tiffany W.

I ordered a grilled pork/Vietnamese sausage/spring roll vermicelli for take out. My order was ready in quick 20 minutes on the weekend. Though the food wasn't great, I'm very glad to see the same friendly FOH staff and that they're continuing to take a cautious and responsible approach to doing business during covid. They continue to mask and require vaccine passports. The vermicelli dish was a decent portion size with tender pork and homemade nem nuong. However, I found the pork to be lacking in lemongrass flavour and the nem nuong could be cooked a little longer or at a higher temp for more grill flavour. But most importantly, the nuoc cham sauce was very bland and the flavour tasted closer to water than fish sauce or vinegar. Overall, I found the food to be rather inconsistent the last few times I've visited. Despite this, you can count on really good service here. Food is 2* but bumping to 3* for service.

Love the Scarborough location, so wanted to try out the Markham one too. Grabbed takeout lunch here, during COVID times. It can get quite busy, even on a weekday for lunch, with lots of other orders being packed when I went. Ordered B8 - Grilled Chicken/Pork, Spring Roll Bun (Vermicelli). Food was well packed, and meat was tasty. Crispy Spring Roll.

It took me five years to return to this pho location. In fact, I don't even remember coming here previously! Perhaps it was a good idea to come back. The food portions are enormous now! You are getting great quality food for a great and solid price. You are looking at $16 a large pho, is that even possible this day and age? I also really like how they have a rewards program and a student discount. I definitely signed up. If I was a student who attended the high school next door, this meal would be a solid option! It was affordable and hearty. Anyway, we ordered a pho and vermicelli, it was way more than we could finish for two adults. I don't disagree completely with my previous review though, the beef slices are thin and there wasn't lot of tripe. They gave loads of beef in the vermicelli bowl though, so now I wonder if it was just dependent on the chef? Anyway, I had a great experience here and will be returning!

Dinner for one! Nice cozy establishment. Only complaint... gave me almost all drummettes with only one flat! Food is good but has room for improvements, but the great service, especially from the friendly front counter dude, made the experience good. One other thing, the bun rieu is slightly lacking the richness that you would expect from the Scarborough location; not sure if it's a franchise or a different restaurant altogether, but I hope they will work on improving since I would like to see them succeed due to their customer service level. Also, coffee was lovely; and the fact that the front counter dude decided to ask me to ensure I know the coffee is strong for this time of night was very considerate

Pho Metro is a combination of service, speed, portion and deliciousness! Super reliable place for consistent appetizers, pho and specialty noodle soups. Like other Vietnamese restaurants, Pho Metro's menu is like a small booklet with pages of regional Vietnamese dishes. Their soup is always fragrant and pipping hot (even delivery/takeout). It's also pretty light. Their packaging for takeout is very well thought-out. Noodles are separated with wax paper inside takeout boxes. They updated their rewards program: all your points remain and key tags are available too. Menu is available online. A couple Saturdays ago, I was running a few errands. Once I was done, I felt like visiting a diner for lunch. I did a search and found Poached Dreams Diner in Aurora. I didn't mind driving up from Markham to check it out. It was straightforward getting here. I parked in the parking lot and walked in from what looked like the back of the diner. There's also a front door with a patio that faces Wellington Street East. I was immediately greeted by a young, enthusiast woman. I let her know that I needed a table for one. She got me to a comfortable booth by the window. The catch is that you have to watch your step to get to your seat. It's a treat when I have breakfast out. I thought that I'd be getting french toast. Well, all that changed when I saw a heading for comfort foods on the menu. Nothing makes me happier than seeing open-faced sandwiches on a menu. It was probably during my days living in Winnipeg that I fell in love with such sandwiches and at least a side. New goal: come here and have every open-faced sandwich on the menu. I got cold water to start. It was refreshing and much needed after running errands. I ordered these items for my meal: - Diet Coke (2) - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies My Diet Coke came with a glass with ice. I loved it. I wish the can was larger! I needed a second can for dessert. I loved my hot turkey sandwich. There was a generous amount of sliced turkey smothered in sauce over a slice of white bread. I got to choose my starch. I went with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy over the turkey that I dunked my spoonfuls of mashed potatoes into it. I loved the steamed veggies. They were perfectly cooked. They also went into the gravy. The meal was delicious. I'd order it again. I felt like dessert. I asked if there was any. Baklava with pistachios. I said yes. I thought that it would be a square or rectangle. Nope. I got a roll. Cool! It was perfect. It had the right amount of honey. It was crispy and yummy. So good! I paid my bill at the table. I tipped and then tapped my credit card. I elected to have the receipt texted to my phone, which also signed me up for its points program. Yay! I learned that this diner has been open since June 2025. I'm always late to any party because I seem to live under a rock or in a cave. I'm glad that I visited this eatery. Great food. Great service. Great! I used the washroom before I left. The women's washroom was clean and had a full-length mirror. This eatery is huge. It looks like there's a cafe for those grabbing coffee and maybe a snack before leaving. I look forward to returning for more good eats and drinks. (148)

The variety of colours was not matched with a variety of flavours, and everything was somewhat on the salty and greasy side. That being said, we very much enjoyed the potato hash, pancakes, and French toast. The portion sizes also outdid themselves - if you're coming here for brunch, just be prepared for a long nap in the afternoon! Service was excellent: prompt, helpful, and friendly.
