Solid 4.5 stars. I think the resto is still relatively (less than 1 year open) fresh/new. For me, what is really making me and my friends come back often is the pricing. I don't know if it was strategic on their part, but they have effectively undercut some of their biggest viet competitors by $3-4 on a lot of their items which to me makes this resto rank VERY HIGH in terms of value because of their also huge portions. Admittedly, the taste of their pho broth still doesn't beat Ngon Corner in Richmond Hill for me but they have some items that I can't find on a lot of resto menus. For example, the signature grilled meat platter is amazing. It says serves 2-4 ppl on the menu and I think that's pretty accurate. My friend and I shared one and we're big eaters so we shared it between the two of us and actually felt full! They also PACK the platter with ingredients and don't skimp on anything which is awesome. You love to see it. Also, I came with the gf and the curry is quite layered in terms of flavour. But for me, the most underrated item is the tomato beef brisket noodle soup. Damn, that tomato broth SLAPPED. Better broth than a lot of chinese soup noodle places I've been to and the brisket was also very tender. Even though Ngon Corner is still packing the most flavour in their pho broth, I found myself somehow gravitating to this place with more and more visits because of the sheer value and pricing (I've also told a lot of ppl that they're quite affordable compared to some of the other Viet stalwarts in Markham/RHill). Hopefully this continues and they don't get greedy and decide to increase the prices!

There are so many new pho places popping up! I was excited to try this one because I was enticed by the seafood tower. The top tier was all mango salad - my favourite! The tower is for 2-4 people and includes fresh rolls, skewers, other appetizers, and some seafood. It was fun to try but I don't think it was anything special. The taste and flavour of the food is mediocre. We went on a weekday evening and they had two servers working. There were people coming in and out consistently during the time we were there. Maybe they were understaffed because I thought the service was quite poor, hence the two stars. They were friendly but very slow and kept forgetting stuff that we asked for. Anytime we needed something, we had to ask multiple times in order to get it. Whether it be water, more sauce, getting the bill, etc. I won't be returning here with the plethora of other pho places in and around the area.

Overall the place was ok. Medium sized restaurant, decently decorated, but the layout is a little awkward. They're not made to fit large groups and when we went for dinner, we saw that they had to put tables together to fit groups of 6 or more. This caused an issue as any party with a smaller group, 4 or less ( we were 2) were then left with no place to sit and had to wait longer. We ended ip waiting with two other smaller parties for a bit until the larger groups cleared out. The food is good and prices are fair, cheaper than other viet places now that this cuisine is popularized. We had the bun ba hue and beef and spring-roll vermicelli. Both were flavourful and tasted authentic. Portion size was good as well. Where Im docking stars is the extremely slow service. My plate of vermicelli did not come out until my partner was almost finished with his meal. I waited 35 mins for my meal...which was ridiculous as viet food normally comes out fairly quick. We also had to follow up on the order as none of the servers came by to tell us what was going on. I do think this place is worth trying, just dont come on a wknd when its busy, they cant manage the volume.

In a world where the prices of Viet cuisine is skyrocketing, it is refreshing to see this place offer more affordable options while maintaining good quality of food. Service is a bit slow at time as there is 1.5-2 front of house staff. Food does come quick so once you order, you will be eating soon! Chicken pho - Was a bit surprised to see that the chicken comes on a separate plate from the bowl of noodles and chicken soup. Chicken felt almost like a hainanese chicken with the ginger scallion sauce. There was a good ratio of noodles and broth as well. Would highly recommend. Supreme grilled meats on rice - There was a good amount of protein in this dish. The fish sauce was also very good. Unfortunately I am not a fan of the marinade they used for the chicken and the meats did not have a good char flavour as I've come to expect from other viet restaurants. Would not get agian. Viet coffee - This was super tasty, every sip tasted like drinking chocolate. Would definitely get again!

Excited to see another Viet place opened up. I know there's a lot of them, but it's one of my favourite cuisines so the more, the merrier!!! We came for a lunch visit and ordered a pho dac biet to share, a grilled pork and chicken on rice, and a fresh rolls platter that included a ton of delicious stuff to wrap. The pho was ok - not my favourite. I felt the broth lacked flavour and there was really not much noodles in the bowl. We had more meat and bean sprouts than anything in there, so I wouldn't come here for the pho again. The grilled meat with rice was great - just what you'd expect. Well grilled and seasoned meat with rice and fish sauce. The platter though was the highlight. It had 2 shrimp on sugar cane (which I felt was too soft in texture), cucumbers, veggies, herbs, vermicelli, grilled pork, grilled beef, and grilled chicken. They serve it with 8 small rice papers and you are provided with the water to wet and wrap it yourself. While I loved this platter, 8 wraps was not enough. Considering the low cost of those, I was really shocked that they wanted to charge an additional $2.50 for 8 rice papers... It's not even the full size rice papers - it's the tiny ones that are the diameter of an adult person's hand. It was a bit disappointing. But all being said, the food was great (minus the pho), and the service was really kind. I'm really excited to have another viet spot to choose from and will definitely want to order that platter again. I'm curious if they have it for take out because I have a whole package of rice papers at home haha!

Signature Grilled Meat Platter and Grilled Chicken and Spring Roll Vermicelli

We ordered the Signature Grilled Meat Platter, Grilled Chicken and Spring Roll Vermicelli and the Bun Bo Hue (not pictured) for three people and had leftovers. The platter was a great portion and could easily feed two people, if not three, if that was the only ordered item. It came with sugarcane shrimp, beef, pork, chicken, lettuce, cucumber, vermicelli, and a couple spring rolls. I wish they would provide more rice paper since there was a lot of meat and vermicelli remaining after we used the 8 rice paper pieces that came with the platter. I've been too other Vietnamese restaurants offering similar style platters and they offer additional servings of the rice paper for free. The Bun Bo Hue was pretty good - mild to medium spicy and it had a variety of meats. The service was great. The servers were attentive and quick. They provided fish sauce in a container for our take out leftovers. The interior is well lit and the tables are spaced well apart from each other. Payment is only cash or debit. The only limiting factor for me to visit again is the parking lot. There were limited spaces as it is shared with other establishments. I waited around 15 mins before finding a spot.

It's a small restaurant. Clean and quaint. The food was decent. Service was good. The brisket was too lean. I think it would taste better if the meat was a good balance of fat and meat. The price is comparable to most viet place.

We checked out Pho Bun Bun and really enjoyed our meal! We ordered the Signature Grilled Meat Platter and the Coconut Fresh Fruit Slush. The platter was delicious, the grilled meats were tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Everything tasted fresh and was well put together. Our only complaint? It only came with 8 pieces of rice paper, which wasn't quite enough given how generous the rest of the platter was. A few extra wraps would've made the experience even better. The Coconut Fresh Fruit Slush was refreshing and creamy, a great complement to the savory platter. Service was quick and friendly, and the vibe of the place was casual and clean. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving solid Vietnamese comfort food!

I saw someone post about this new Vietnamese restaurant in Markham and I knew I had to go try it out. It's not a large restaurant but has a good size tables for all sizes. I went around 7:30PM and it wasn't that busy but the parking was a pain to find. (Do keep that in mind as parking is limited) The food and service were great. The prices especially were affordable too compared to the standard Vietnamese restaurant. Highly recommend to try, if you get the chance to come by!

The service is generally friendly, not overly enthusiastic but not unpleasant either. However, the cons are also quite obvious. The biggest problem is the inconsistent quality--some dishes are excellent, while others are rather ordinary, even making you feel like "something else tastes better." Plus, the prices aren't cheap, so if you happen to order an average dish, the value for money doesn't quite meet your expectations. Also, the restaurant lacks a truly memorable signature dish, making it less memorable after your meal.

I had high expectations for the place but the experience did not quite live up to them. The famous dry wings were interesting. Nice and crispy but saltier than I would like. They were also coated in some kind of sugar which was unique. It was served with a lime sauce for dipping which really just tasted like pure lime juice. I think Im partial to the plain wings which is why this menu item wasnt a hit for me. The banh mi was great. Nice size, great crusty bread yet soft on the inside. The sandwich was packed with beef and then piled high with fresh pickled carrots and daikon. The butter spread was tasty. BUT the sando was missing a key component! Comes with all the fixins(mint, rice paper, lettuce, pickled veggies, beansprouts) and stuffed with pork and shrimp. I prefer the crepe to be thicker than how it was served here. It was paper thin, so crispy. So it lacked that texture I craved but the coconutty flavours were there. This is one of 2 Nam locations - the other in Richmond Hill.
