The cleanest place that I have visited... sanitation is priority one. The service was on point and the hostesses greeted us with a smile. The cheese queso and flour tortillas was on delicious and the parrillada en fuego was better than any Mexican dish I've had in my Latino experiences. The Molcajete bowl fire was "the fire" that kept the food delicious for at least 30mins and Allen topped it off with the "red" fingernails and prompt service. Four out of five stars, well done read more

The food was great and the staff is really nice. We will definitely revisit and make it one of our date night spots.

My wife and I went to this restaurant twice in the same week because we enjoyed it so much. The restaurant has this South American jungle/beach vibe with all of the plants and dark wood colors. The inside was beautiful, but the patio rooms bring it to another level. We sat at some tall tables with comfortable wooden stools, and the view of the lake was breathtaking, especially while the sun was setting. During both visits our servers were friendly, courteous, and professional. Their suggestions were helpful in us making choices from the menu. The food was excellent and the chips and salsa kept coming. The only downside, was that the Coke my wife ordered was a little flat for her liking. However, I saw great teamwork among staff in keeping patrons happy and the business running smooth. It is obvious that the management team knows what they're doing. Keep up the great work and fix your Coke dispenser! We are coming back soon and we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Amazing staff, good food, and atmosphere. The service was attentive and fun. The manager even stopped by our table and helped our server by bringing more chips and salsa. . read more

While I do like the food, I have never had a good experience with service. We came right when the Rockwall location opened for dinner and then a couple of weeks later for taco Tuesday. After being seated , it was very difficult getting any servers attention. Now almost 6 months later was there at 5pm and still had trouble getting a servers attention. There was a lot of activity and people DID seem to be busy, but being busy is not the same is being productive. Very disappointed However your mileage may vary. read more

The food, atmosphere and service is unbeatable! If you have not been you are missing out! Go NOW!

Read mixed reviews so we were a little apprehensive about going but our experience was good. Vibe is nice but it is very loud so it's hard to talk. Food was amazing and waitress was nice. read more

Vidorra - Vidorra.. Rockwall - Mexican Near Me - Rockwall, Texas

We met some friends for dinner tonight at Vidorra in Rockwall. We had an amazing time. The food was fast and prepared excellent. Our server was good. The manager, Dominique, was always on top of things and constantly checking on us. She was above and beyond the expectations of a manager and kept a smooth flow in her restaurant. The ambiance is very relaxing and enjoyable. The only thing I would recommend is to turn the music down a few notches. We had a difficult time with conversation. Other than that I highly recommend this place! This was our third visit, with more to come! read more

Just left, decor great we sit on the outside and had Kevin wait on us. Who was very knowledgeable about menu and drinks. Our food came out hot. Taste was great. Will be back again. we were sitting and we ask about happy hour, so we decided to go in and sit at the inside bar with Willie and ordered a couple of drinks. Willie was very personable. I love this restaurant. read more

Service was good, atmosphere was good, drink were good, but food left much to be desired. Wife got street tacos, she said they were good. I got carne asada fajitas, they were tough, chewy chunks of meat that were nothing even close to fajitas, not to mention I asked for corn tortillas and received flour, one of the worst meals I've ever paid for. read more

Fantastic service and environment, we ate here for a birthday and all had a great time read more

The food and service are really great! The vibe is giving rainforest cafe with the fake plants.. I speak for all of the plant people in the area, super huge miss using fake plants. Live plants would bring much better energy into this space. read more

Great experience all around. Tasty food and clean bathrooms. Sumer was an incredible server, we'll be returning and asking for her! I accidentally dropped a knife that I wasn't even using and a busser brought me a whole new roll of silverware not even 10 seconds later just incase, because he heard it drop. The manager Dominique was also very kind and helpful. read more

The food was great, probably some of the best Mexican I have had in Rockwall since moving here four years ago. Definitely call ahead and get in the waiting list for the usual peak hours The restaurant has a fantastic patio and it was so nice to watch the sun go down over Lake Ray Hubbard. read more

I've been here a couple times and I've never had such a bad experience.. customer service is horrible, chips and salsa took forever to get to the table, minimum 20 minutes.. Server seemed frustrated or annoyed, gave me a huge attitude when I asked for a steak knife. Manager seemed rude and unapproachable. Not a very friendly staff. Extremely disappointed. read more

As a Mexican Cuisine this place is a 10/10 and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Of course the wait is long usually but it is definitely worth it! The decor and furniture is the best part for many reasons. I recommend coming here for any occasion because the food, staff, and overall experience is a must. read more

Awesome venue with a great atmosphere; makes you feel like you're eating in a rainforest. Get on the waitlist early because this place gets busy! Staff is still very attentive and checks in with you while you are waiting for a table. Once sat, service is quick, with multiple staff checking in throughout your meal. Food tastes more authentic than most Mexican restaurants. read more

You guys need to improve, they seat us and we had to wait for our server to show up 25 min later and he took us even though we weren't his section, once he took us he was really nice and attentive. Food was ok If you like your server try to tip them in cash because if you do on cards they do share tips which I don't feel it's fine. Restaurante was pretty, and clean! read more

Well.. I do honest reviews. Here's the deal. Kind of a fake vibe to the place ... clubby atmosphere... big bar.. loud music .. dark floors .. trying to be cool .. concrete jungle parking lot and steps don't help .. the place is done to the nines in a tropical theme ... we opted for the covered patio which had fans and misters... the main room has a view I guess but the shades were done ( western sun )... Service was good to start, but faded ... but friendly . Now the food .... We had heard it wasn't that good from all Our friends ... we concur. The shrimp ceviche dish was so heavily limed it was like eating salt sponges .. good large portion however, but too salty to finish .. I had the beef enchiladas ... with con carne... $18... good portion but these were forgettable ... basically 3 roast beef enchiladas with a sloppy joe " chili" on top ... it sucked . The beef was good but who wants to eat roast beef enchiladas? Wife had fish tacos ... they were fried fish .. pretty good but grilled would be better. Bottom line ... these folks are trying to do " gormet True Mexican fare " I guess ... so don't expect anything close to Tex-Mex. Frozen margarita were good and happy hour price . Good, but way too salty Chips. Good salsa. Bottom line ... all bark and very little bite ... great I guess for the young guys who want to try and impress a date at the bar ... but for food... a disappointment . Too bad ... not in the race with Glorias or Mi Cocina. Too bad; a miss for Rockwall . read more

Delicious and super cool atmosphere!! The chips and hot sauce have to be at the top of my list of any restaurant I've been to!

The best place ever to eat in rockwall! We will be back for more delicious food and phenomenal margaritas!

The service needs major work. We have been to Vidorra 3 times in the last month, and the food and drinks are excellent. The atmosphere is also very well done. The reason for 3 stars: The service is terrible. The wait staff is friendly, but very few of them seem to have experience in a fast-paced restaurant, and it shows. Problems range from wrong orders, not refilling drinks (waters and cocktails), and not seeing our waiter for extended periods of time. If they can add or train current staff to be better, this will be our favorite spot! read more

This place is doing it RIGHT. I've been here twice now. I hosted a bday brunch for my sister last Sat (party of 12) and again tonight for dinner with my boyfriend. BOTH times, I've experienced great service from Alexa (bday party) and tonight (Luis L). Loved both of them!!! Very personable and I would request to sit at either of their sections. Food and cocktails are good...service is key and they get an A+. Both" times I've been there, a manager stopped by the table. Service is key and some places just don't get it...this place does!!! And GET THE QUESO! read more

Service was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. Our waitress Alexiz made the experience a 10/10 for us. We have three little kids and she was just lovely and took care of us so well. This is our new favorite restaurant in Rockwall. The food is also 10/10 read more

The food's amazing!! All the tacos were great and the queso is to die for. The only improvement I'd make it bigger margaritas haha

We are from Chicago and came in for the weekend. Vidorra was closest to us and what a surprise this turned out to be for us. Braxton was the best I highly recommend him. I never had to flag him down. He knew we were there. The food was amazing. I loved my chicken chipotle tacos and my husband had the best carne asada fajita in all our years going out for Mexican! Vidorra won't disappoint - nice ambience too. read more

Outstanding food. Massive portions. Great Latin vibe. Massive portions. Great cocktails. Beautiful bar. Entire restaurant is very noisy. Prices are very fair. Excellent quality and service. Very busy, use wait list early. Friday evening at 7pm was 2.5 hour wait. We ate at the bar. read more

Super recomendados es de mis lugares favoritos, disfruto mucho el queso caliente, los nachos y las fajitas

This is the second time I've been to Vidorra...we've been late night diners both times so there was no wait time either occasion. Service was excellent. Food was delicious and presented nicely and pretty quickly. The food is unique and delicious without being exotic. Kevin took care of us tonight and was fantastic. He anticipated needs where we never asked for anything. Unfortunately the kitchen shut down moments before he brought the check, asked if we needed anything else, and I told him we wanted dessert. Huge bummer...I knew they'd be closing soon but I wasn't watching the time. I asked if anything could be just boxed up to-go because I was looking forward to birthday dessert. He and, I assume, the floor manager came back a little while first with the Kalua cake, much to my delight, and then another minute the cheesecake with a sparkler on top! My kids and I scraped both plates clean, and my birthday ended on a high note with staff going above and beyond to not send me away disappointed. I'm grateful. One of my kids asked if we could start coming here (we always go out to dinner after church on Saturday nights) and I told them it was a bit too expensive to be in our regular rotation, but we would definitely be back. My only complaints are: the chairs are hard to move (no getting in/out gracefully) and the music is too loud to really converse. The vibe is definitely a loud music place, but it could be taken down a notch where you don't have to yell to talk to the company you're dinning with. I'll also note that the place seems well run. Everybody has some hustle and falls in step to keep the place moving and maintained. This one is worth checking out. read more

Visited Vidorra today. Walked in to a couple people waiting at the hostess stand. No hostess for almost 10 minutes. Finally 4 of the hostesses show up and at the point had at least 10-15 people trying to get in the door. Decided to snag a spot at the bar. Service started out great and then our waitress left in the middle of our meal without asking for if we needed anything. She did say goodbye to the people next to us. Matter that none of the other bartender ( and a manager) would even make eye contact with us. Eventually a bartender from the other end, saw how we had pushed everything we had to the edge of bar. Megan got us refills and closed the sale! Thank you Megan! Hope this isn't the start of a decline at Vidorra. Food was good, drinks are okay. read more

Summer was our server tonight, and she's been absolutely wonderful--friendly, attentive, and making our dining experience even better!

First time there. Got on the waitlist for a party of eight. Seated in a timely fashion. Waitress was very helpful, offered her recommendations, kept our glasses filled, and made it a very pleasant experience. Sat on the patio, which I would prefer on any return trip. forgot to take pictures, but everyone said their food was made to order perfectly, great temperature, seasoned well and large portions. I have to say the chips and sauce when we sat down were the best I've had. Dessert was fried ice cream, churros, and Kahlúa cake. fairly new restaurant that seems like all of the kinks have been worked out. Will definitely recommend. Get on the waitlist and go early. We were there at 4:45 and we walked out the door at six. There were people everywhere waiting. read more

The food and service were both excellent. The restaurant was beautifully appointed. The sound buffering was nonexistent with all hard surfaces inside we could only hear the bass in the background music and people having to almost yell to be heard by the people in their party. Gonna pray they fix this because the food was excellent and I want to try more options. The patio was closed for a meeting, but looked very nice. read more
