Had a decent sized group for an event and we were only given 1 server for 30 people, she was able to attend everyone but missed several drinks that were ordered. I don't blame her but unfortunately she was managing 6 tables by herself. The food was great however the service was just not there and very slow. read more

Food: Great! Ordered Parrillada on Mocajete. It was enough to split. Drinks: Margaritas were sweet. The Strawberry Punch was pretty good! Wait time was 45 mins on a Friday yet we were able to find a seat at the bar and enjoy drinks! We were called to our table in 29 mins! Really enjoyed the ambiance! read more

Johnnie was a phenomenal server! Friendly, fast and professional. My friend and I can in at 11pm expecting a mediocre experience because it was close to closing but boy were we wrong! From the hostess to the food, everything was amazing. Tucker is a solid leader and was kind enough to stop by our table. Food was piping hot and delicious...again it was close to closing. I look forward to visiting again. read more

This location is a must visit. My family and I love the food and ambiance. A gem tucked into the hillside. The food is fire and the staff is awesome! Margaritas... get them. The QUESO definite! The chips OMG I could have a bag of them a day. Fajitas . Can't talk enough about the food. From the plating, the care and the tastes. They are one of the very few local restaurants that I can say I'll continue returning to for the quality. Mother's Day here was the cherry on top of the beautiful views and sunset. read more

Arrived bout 530 for a 6pm reservation, greeted at the door and told if we wanted to be seated early they could make it work. We ordered the queso and it was delicious, so were both the sauces they bought with the chips. As usual I forgot our servers name 2 minutes after she told me but the service was outstanding. I had the carne asada tacos and the meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly, ball and chain ordered something but can't recall name of it but she said it was delicious. One of the managers, Mary came by and we chatted a bit. Told her how much we enjoyed the meal and love the interior decor! This is a great addition to Rockwall and we will absolutely be back! read more

Overall rating: 3.5 stars 4 for food 3 for experience Came with a party of 8, and was able to be seated right away upon entering our names on the waitlist. However upon entering, we were told they did not have anymore high chairs available and that they would bring them once available. We had 2 one year old active babies with us. Despite having no high chairs, they seated us outside by the booths in the sun. Took about 15 mins for the sun to finally move :/ the restaurant itself was very elevated tho and a great place to take pictures. Our server was nice and asked if we were celebrating anything, which we said our friends baby just turned one! (Spoiler alert, they didn't do anything special for the birthday.) about 15 mins in, i had reminded our waiter about the high chairs and she was only able to locate one. It was quite difficult to eat our food with a very mobile baby, so my husband and I had to take turns eating.. but that's parenting.. For the food, the food was surprisingly good for being in Texas. I got the sour cream chicken enchilada which was good! I'm not a huge sour cream fan, but the dressing made the enchilada creamy and moist. My friend got a salad.. which after ordering it he wishes he got something else.. they basically cut a whole slab of lettuce in half expecting him to cut the lettuce with a butter knife lol. Aside from all that, place isn't bad. The chips and salsa made up for it. Since I don't live in Texas, I probably wouldn't go back but maybe if I lived there, maybe I would read more

What a great new place for Rockwall! Beautiful place inside! Food is amazing and drinks are simply the best! Had a bartender named Willie who has to be the best in the business! Can't wait to go back again! read more

Love this place! It feels like you're on vacation. Food is wonderful. Love the indoor/outdoor vibes. Especially on nice days. Great for outdoor seating read more

Wow! This relatively new Rockwall establishment raises the bar for customer service. They are responsive to requests and willing to go the extra mile for your group. Everyone from the hostess to the manager is polite, accommodating and thoughtful. We had an unusually large group and service was impeccable! I'll be a frequent customer! Highly recommend you give this location a try! Thank you Tristan, Dominique snd especially our server, Jaken for an outstanding experience read more

Alexa provided amazing service this evening. She was very kind and attentive. The chili relleno was delicious! Great restaurant!

Went to this place 3/16 for lunch. As they served me the chips and salsa, I began eating and minutes later I got seriously sick. So sick I had to leave..Before coming in I haven't consumed anything to eat, so this was the first thing I ate. Just bc this establishment looks good doesn't mean this is the place to eat. I call the health department on this place to have them looked at. I wouldn't eat here again.. read more

Great ambiance, best in town. Service was good. Food was average, at least what I had.

I finally tried Vidorra Rockwall Sept 9,2025! The place is a beautiful restaurant and that is about it! We were seated quickly for it was a Tuesday afternoon not many folks were there. The waiter brought us water and told us our server would be right with us. He asked if we wanted anything other than Water? I asked what do you offer? He went thru a list and I said I will take Lemonade my wife was okay with water. He said we have no lemonade after offering it in his List? I said can you bring lemon and sweet n low and he brought us a bowl of lemon slices!!! We ordered the lunch menu items Chicken Quesadillas and I ordered sour cream chicken enchiladas. I asked the waiter about the chips? What is on the chips and he said he has no idea? Salt , pepper, other spices I guess???? He offered no other answers LOL. We got our food after a bit of a wait . The sour cream chicken enchiladas plate looked like it had been sitting somewhere for a while and it did not look fresh. My wife got some kind of sauce on her plate that tasted like Ketchup and mayonnaise??? The waiter had no Idea what the sauce was ??? The Quesadillas really had very little chicken and or taste t them. We ate and left with a surprise on our minds. No flavor in the enchiladas that were bland as well as the blob of black beans I guess were on the plate. The entire experience was not good and we will probably go back to an over rated restaurant in Rockwall! read more

We've been to this location several times, and all were great until this past week. Are waiter was good, but... We sat near the bar and saw some things that would make The star of Bar Rescue have a heart attack. We saw a waitress place her hand in a glass of water to remove a lemon and return it to a customer. The staff grab straws, that aren't wrapped and stir mixed drinks with them and hand them to customers. This is a heads up when you ask for a straw. We noticed a bar tender digging through the ice machine trying to remove some kind of trash. A molcajete we ordered was cold in the center but boiling at the same time. The steak inside the molcajete was a large piece that wasn't cut and may have been the frozen piece of meat that was placed in the boiling sauce. read more

Angel was a 5 star server and gets all 5 stars! He definitely went above and beyond to make the experience great. Dominique, one of the managers stopped by and was kind and it was excellent to happen to over hear her thanking staff as they worked. I will say that the layout, the food and drinks need improvement so we will wait and give it 1 more try in another 3 to 6 months. Take Angel out of the equation and I would have given it 1 star at best. read more

Delicious food and awesome atmosphere! Drinks were tasty too! I've been there 3 times since they opened and can't wait to go again!

Stokes was very upbeat and professional. Great service! Our family will definitely return!

Great food, great vibes out on the patio with heaters and good music, and great service from Stokes! Will definitely be back.

The service was very terrible. The waitress was polite but passive aggressive. She asked all these questions except the one that would let her know that we didn't want a whole picture of margaritas for one person. It was clearly on purpose. She was barely around and we waited and waited for a while for any service. I would suggest any other location than the Rockwall one. We have been to others and they were infinitely better. The food was ok. read more

Great food, excellent service. Stokes took amazing care of us from the moment we came in even though we only had drinks and appetizers. Restaurant is beautiful. read more

I come to this Vidorra often after a long day. Joey is always very friendly and fast taking my order and asking often when I need something. I know this location is busy, well, all of them are, but I really like the friendliness efficiency and customer service. I love coming here. I always have the vidorritas and the appetizers, sometimes the fajitas and they are all good. Thank you guys for making my day when I come! read more

John was exceptional. His attention to detail and outstanding customer service will keep me coming back.

The food was delicious. My family and I tried the queso molcajete appetizer and our server was kind to let us know that usually it does burn pretty fast due to the heat and we got it anyways. Our server was super nice. The dining area is dark and the plants give it a nice energy. Overall a great time! read more

Vidorra - Delicious steak with chimichurri - Mexican Near Me - Rockwall, Texas

Impressive! First and foremost, happy hour is M-F, 3-6p... 1/2 priced on most of the margaritas and many apps. Upon entering this Mexican oasis, you are surrounded by tall greenery, palm frond lamps, a large neon sign, inviting patios, a bustling bar, and 7 ft tall terra cotta pots. (pics) We started with the So Fresa, So Clean margarita (delicious and a perfect amount of alcohol) (pic) and an appetizer of the Flaming Fundido w Trompo Beef and flour tortillas (pic+video). If you like melted cheese and flavorful flour tortillas, you'll love this appetizer. And of course the chips and salsa are included. The red sauce has a strong roasted flavor and the green was mild (and my favorite of the two). Entrees: hubby had the Enchiladas Rancheras (pic) So tasty! Yes, I had a couple bites. I ordered the 3 Street Taco combo ($15!) - Trompo Pork, Trompo Beef and Carnitas. The carnitas weren't anything special (maybe even a little dry for my liking) but the Trompo Pork was absolutely flavorful. The beef ran a close second. Beans and Rice are good. It was so much food I took half of it home. The prices on the menu were not as high as I thought it would be which is a nice change. Average meal price $20. The wait staff was very friendly. I'm pretty sure our waiter was new to waiting tables or just nervous. He did fine as the meal went on. Although the fun Latin music was loud, we were still able to talk across the table with no problem. They can accommodate larger parties. I would highly recommend Vidorra in Rockwall for a lovely meal with a loved one or a group of your friends. read more

The ambiance at lunch was awesome...felt like I was in Tulum. The queso is a must along with the sour cream chicken enchiladas. Our waitperson was Fatima and she was super friendly and personable. The mgr. stopped by our table and offered more than the customary "was everything ok". I appreciated them both! We'll be back! read more

Vidorra - Birthday Churros and Cinnamon ice cream! - Mexican Near Me - Rockwall, Texas

The food was good. The drinks off the drink menu were bland. The place is very loud. The service was good.

The ambiance of this place is absolutely incredible, but the food and the service need a lot of work. Even with a reservation, we waited about 20 minutes to be seated (understandable, we a were a party of 11), but after landing at the table, it took another 20 or so to get our food order in. Plenty of chips and salsas were served as a distraction, but we had to make a point to ask for them to take our food order... Followed by at least 45 minutes of a wait for the food to finally come. The drinks were okay, but they were premixed cocktails and you could tell (server confired that they were pre-made). Unfortunately, the food wasn't really up to the standard we expected either. Everyone who ordered various types of enchiladas couldn't even eat them. We wanted to love the place, but there's a lot of work to be done to live up to the standard of the incredible atmosphere. With service, the wait staff was really friendly and accommodating, but we had so many dishes piled up on the table that they didn't clean up until the end (big ass empty hot cheese bowls taking up the table for the entire dinner), it was hard to find a place to put the entrees down. I'm hopeful that this review will help the restaurant grow into what it definitely could be with a little extra care! It really is a beautiful place. read more

Excellent food, service and ambiance were excellent. Had chicken enchiladas and prepared sour cream salsa and I am very picky and it was so delicious!! Margaritas were top notch and outside patio was very inviting. Great waitstaff and overall experience was exceptional. Will most definitely be back! Would recommend to anyone in this area to come and experience the menu and top notch food read more

When we first arrived, we let them know we needed a table for 5 inside. We were told that they only had outside tables and the wait would be about 30 minutes. No problem with that. A few minutes later, a party of 8 shows up and they were told also 30 minutes. Within 5 minutes, the party of 8 was seated in the main dining room and additional smaller parties began to show up. As these other parties came, they were told that they only had inside tables and the wait would be 30 minutes. After 30 minutes of waiting, we were told our table was ready... and they led us outside... ridiculous. We waited 30 minutes already for our table when we're not willing to wait for longer to have them get us the correct inside table. We get seated under the bright sun on their covered patio and we start to put in our order. Not sure how, but our food came out fast, which was great, but kinda suspicious. My husbands food came first (entree) before he even got his drink or appetizer. Overall, food was fine, nothing exceptional, but the inside of the restaurant looked very nice. I personally would not go again, but if I did, I'd choose to go to the Addison location. read more

The service in bar was inattentive. The drinks were not spectacular nor the quesadillas. Cheese was not even melted. But I give it a 5 for ambiance. read more

It's nothing special and more important expensive compared to other area restaurants serving comparable cuisine. The wait staff is excellent. They don't take reservations and the most you can place on their wait list is 2. At the end of our meal a manager lady came by our table and said they needed the table for a reservation. I thought that was ridiculous since I knew they didn't take reservations. We won't be back. Too many other great options in Rockwall. read more

yea the place is cute and food is great but their service does not meet the criteria i have dined here twice and always failed at serving the food for large parties together, the first time my plate did not come until EVERYONE ate / finished same thing the second time. yea skip this place.. head to the GP location. read more

Wow Tucker was so accommodating and nice to our large party. Hopefully we see him everytime we come.

Thursday, 5:00 Lively ambience Jessica, server was excellent. Shared chicken & asasda fajitas were very good Added the garlic potatoes as a side, tender & delicious yet unexpectedly were whole baby potatoes. May have been able to enjoy the potatoes more if the pieces were smaller so they could soak up more of the yummy garlic butter sauce Dom, the server manager made her way by our table at one point asking if we needing anything I asked if they might have any unseasoned chips, without asking why she said "Of course" & momentarily brought out a fresh hot basket of chips just for us. Above & Beyond, Dom! Thank you We rarely get dessert but indulged in the churros Oh Me, Oh My HomeRun w bases loaded !!! Hot w crispy edges, decadent de leche filling that was not overly sweet read more
