Wow. Just wow. Last day in Charleston with an 11am flight, I convinced my girlfriend to come here before the airport and was not disappointed. We both got the flamethrower and everything was perfect. The biscuit was flavorful and moist. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy. What surprised me the most was how good their hot sauce was. Not too much heat, not syrupy or processed but perfectly flavorful and fresh. Need more of this in my life, maybe minus the calories. read more

You have to go here! Food was fantastic! The workers messed up and gave us an extra biscuit for free to take home. Great food and good people. Must stop here! read more

Worth. The. Wait. Vicious biscuit was so good! I can't believe I've lived down the street since it opened and hadn't tried it. The portion sizes are huge & the staff was so friendly. We had a great breakfast! read more

Great food and very friendly staff. Husband and I shared the gravey train and the fat boy. The portions are ridiculously large. The gravey train has a hint of maple in it and was delicious! The fat boy was very good also has a little spice to the sauce they put on it. Their place doesn't look like much from the outside but it's a must if your in the Charleston area. read more

I went here a month ago and I'm still dreaming about the food I had here. Line was long but totally worth the wait! Staff was super friendly. read more

Great place! Had the biscuits and gravy and also the sandwich called the Fatboy. Everything was awesome. Gravy wasn't too heavy like some places I've been too. Will def be back! read more

The food was good , but being that this restaurant gets a lot of foot action , my food was cold by the time I got home. BUT, it was so good I couldn't move to go warm it up. read more

It was pretty good and it was fast, quick service and surprisingly really good prices. It seems like there would be limited parking on a busy, non-COVID day but there was a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and outdoor tables had a whole tent under them so you didn't have to be under the direct sun. The scotlyn was delicious, but too much cinnamon and it was very rich so I wish there had been more strawberries. My friend got the Vicious which is their classic jalapeño biscuit with the fried chicken-she liked it but thought the jalapeños were a little much and wished there had been avocado on the side which you can add. I had the old school breakfast and asked for them to add avocado on the side, poach my eggs, and add a side of hollandaise sauce. It was super delicious, and the grits were to die for. The bacon was out of this world good, and I liked the biscuit but the eggs themselves were extremely underdone. I love a runny yolk but the whites were runny too so I would probably just ask for them to be done a little more. Definitely recommend, though! There is something for everyone. read more

No masks, no one in the entire building even hanging a mask off their ear. The food is somewhat greasy but priced reasonably. But there's no care about customer safety or any attempt at preventing the spread of Covid. The tight corridors and packing tons of people into a small building and no one wearing masks is a recipe for someone getting terribly sick, not biscuits. Previous comments saying they're Covid safe are a joke. Lol read more

I grew up on biscuits and gravy, so was super excited to try this place. It was perfectly okay - just nothing to write home about. The gravy lacked flavored in my opinion, but this place always has a huge line so I have had an off experience. I would not wait in this line again for the food I tasted. read more

I was completely surprised by this place. I ordered the vicious biscuit, since it is their special and WOW! The chicken was perfectly crispy, their biscuit was so moist and the gravy unlike any I've ever had. I wish I could take this place back to West Palm Beach with me. Highly recommend! read more

Awesome. Really surprisingly excellent. Loved the server bringing my dog a bowl of ice water with the menus. You can't miss on any of the biscuits so don't even bother with "healthy" stuff. read more

We've traveled to Charleston several times over the last year and a half. As breakfast lovers, we are in constant pursuit of fun, local, and delicious breakfast restaurants. This is one breakfast restaurant we crave when we're not able to start our day with Vicious Biscuit. Every time we come to Charleston, our mornings begin with Vicious Biscuit. We've had many items from the menu, and none of the menu options have disappointed. Our most recent trip to Charleston included two consecutive days of breakfast at Vicious Biscuit. Absolutely delicious!! Looking forward to our next trip at the end of the year. read more

I've heard nothing but good reviews about this place since it opened so of course I had to check it out!! There was a line just to enter the restaurant. My bad for going on a Saturday around 10 am.. which I'm going to bet is probably prime time for this place. However, we waited in line maybe 7-10 minutes before we were able to order at the front counter. After we ordered, we sat ourselves. I was worried about finding a place to sit as seating is sparse. However, a spot for two opened up just as we had finished placing our order. The food was delicious!! The biscuit was heavenly! Chicken was juicy and fresh and everything you'd ever wish for! The mimosas was delicious with freshly squeezed OJ. Highly recommend!! I read online they are opening other locations which should help with the crowds on a Saturday morning. read more

This place is....AMAZING! We came on a Sunday morning around 10 am. Line out the door, and expected it to take forever. Boy were we wrong. We were in line for maybe 10 minutes, ordered, and got our food so quick. No mistakes on the food at all. We got 'The Scotlyn' which is a shareable. I attached a picture for reference. It was so delicious!! We also got the 'Silence of the Hams', 'The Fat Boy', and Iced Coffee. The customer service was the best. They checked on us multiple times, and they were so nice. I would highly recommend to anyone! read more

Vicious Biscuit - The Scotlyn - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina

Vicious Biscuit is the bomb. Wish they had one near my home. Good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My whole family loves it.

Drove by this place a couple weeks ago and Yelped it. Couldn't wait to eat here and it was everything I could have hoped for. Everything is light and airy, the biscuits, the gravy, the chicken. The butters just melt in your mouth. And the coffee is great! I would actually recommend getting one of their biscuit plates and an extra biscuit just to be able to head to the butter and jam bar! You HAVE to come here. Oh, and the walk-up-and-order and then find your seat is perfect, with super quick delivery of food to your table. High quality, fast, and reasonably priced. read more

These biscuits are huge and super flavorful! Also don't miss out on the fried green tomatoes. The batter they use is spot on!!

Viciously Delish. Phenomenal biscuits n gravy. Go early, it gets packed quickly. Apparently I have to add characters to make this a review and not just a tip??? So, i will emphasize again.. its really good. read more

Freaking delicious! The crab benny and the vicious were so filling and yummy, and we got the Scotlyn to share- perfect combo of sweet and savory meals. Long line moved quickly and the food was served fast. Must try the apple pie jam! Definite win for us out-of-towners. read more

I'm only giving it 3 stars because Lauren was very rude & abruptly said no dogs inside without looking thats it's service dog... I said we're just standing inside the door to look at menu. She again rudely said no dogs she can't be in here.. I said do you have a paper menu we could look at outside, she walked away from us... so my husband went outside while I ordered. Food was amazing, biscuits were perfection, grits smooth as butter.. We are from Florida wish we had one there it would do amazing... read more

I can describe the location as organized chaos with good food. This place is hopping with folks, you stand in line to order food then grab a table, your drinks and meal are brought to you. Being one, not from the South grits are not my go to, but I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and was not disappointed. read more

Stopped for breakfast on our first morning in Mt Pleasant. Food was absolutely amazing. We ate somewhere different for breakfast and Viscuous Biscuit was by far the best! read more

What an awesome find in Mount Pleasant! Found this place with a really long line on the way to the beach one morning. A few days later we stopped in to see what the line was about. We got there around eight and it was busy, the line was out the door. The wait was so worth it. Despite being busy the staff was excellent and very prepared for the crowds. Tables were cleaned quickly, coffee was full, and condiments always ready. The coffee was super delicious. The worst thing about the place was choosing which biscuit to order! When we finally decided I ended up being very glad we did not select sides because they were extremely delicious and filling. The bacon they used was that thick-cut expensive bacon you pass up at the grocery store because you want to save a buck. The biscuits were fresh and home-made. All sauces made in house. Delicious home-made butter. I will for sure be back if I'm in the Mount Pleasant area again. read more
